GTP players always finish on the podium if they don't get punted, or at least drive a really fast car :sly: It just sucks for someone like me when you start 16th all the time. Start me 8th and I'll be battling for podium finish by the 2nd lap.;)
If there's any footage of a clean race in there, a battle, let's see it :dopey:

Edit: Yep, new schedule is working fine for me now 👍 Except for the ads already on it.:confused: I take it UTC is in daylight savings at the moment? Remember o fix the times when that finishes 👍

GTP members taking the top spots, well done. I've seen a GTP 1-5 sweep out of something like 10 cars, but not everyone was using the GTP tag, I wish they would, it would look real nice and and should get people asking alot of questions about who we are via PSN messages and we can forward them here

I would get one but I am only 15 and have no clue how. I will get one soon though ill just get some help.
 
there was quite a few of us today that i saw, except i didn't have the gtp tag. i just changed it now. hope to see you guys online again. you all left me in the dust :D

On the PS3 XMB just go all the way to the left to where the users are, go down and click on add new user.

Enter a bunch of fake info and your GTP name. It should take only 5 minutes

Who was it that I raced at HSR a while ago, both of us in Tuned Z06s? I think it was Bluedot, I promised you a tune on the Z06. Check out The Lion's Den, I just posted it.:)

It seems to have been one of those nights. It got off to a great start, and I was racing with quite a few GTP-ers. Magburner, 2fast4stig, bluedot, Crooky, Sjaak all made an appearance *.

Special mention goes to GTP_Timppaq. He seems to be carrying on the Flying Finn tradition of Hakkinen and Raikkonen. He can fairly make his Clio go, and he was host too, so you knew he just wasn't going to quit on you for no reason. 👍

Also Superwally in his (very well driven) F40. I spent a few corners just driving behind, not looking to pass, just drooling at how gorgeous the F40 is...

But, latterly, I've just being getting battered into the gravel by idiots. 👎

It surely was some nice racing! Always feels good to have a GTP_tagged racer in front of you or behind you as you know that there will be no intentional smashing.

now as i see the screenshot - is there anything to do to actually see the race time for each player on the race result screen. i just see end positions and PP of each player, but no finish time which is annoying a bit? i have the euro version, thx for info :)

In ordr to use the webspace you have to have ads on your page. You can choose to have a permanent banner, random ads somewhere on your page or in this case layers ads. The layer ads aren't always there, so i picked them. But the ads also use javascript i believe, so that might be your problem.
+ the layer ads act differently in the different browsers. On the PS3 the ad will be on the bottem of the page where i've inserted the code.

And i don't have to fix the times, because they are in UTC in the database.
Daylight saving isn't an issue since the javascript (if enabled) checks the users current offset to the UTC time.
If you're in the uk now you'll get UTC+1 times, but in winter they'll get UTC.
Hope that clears it up :)

Well, put your points down a touch. If you have your car setup for 700 points, you will start at, or near, the back. My Ford GT is set for 699 points, and I start nearer the front. When I used my 680 point R8, I was on pole position 99% of the time.

Lower points = start at front.

I've had this exact same issue when I played using an SDTV but when I bought a HDTV, problem solved:tup: Hope this helps:)
 
Hi bluedot, just saw you in a race at Suzuka. Very nice driving:tup:. I'm still getting to know the amuse so that's why my driving wasn't that consistant.

Did you get hit by the yellow elise aswell or did he get past you cleanly? Cause he just pushed me out of the way in a place you can't pass instead of waiting for a place he could overtake cleanly. I managed to keep him in sight till the finish and he did just the same with the other ones he overtook. In the last lap I let Scratchyyy past me cause he was faster hoping he would be able to get past the elise and win, but he couldn't. He then let me back past just before the finish. I tried to brake and let him take 2nd but he was driving too slow and the others where comming up behind us.

But very nice gesture from scratchyyy:tup:

Thanks for your good sportsmanship as I am not used to driving a Corvette at Suzuka. I managed to miss most of the trouble by getting out of the way of the Yellow Elise. I am just getting used to this car tuned by TLD, thanks for cutting me some slack. Hope to meet you again on the track.

Tonight I tried the Lion Den setup for the tuned Vette! It again such a joy to drive. Video will follow in the Tune Thread! :sly:

Hey, No problem. You had a good run on the go & I was recovering from some argy bargy with a lunatic (sjaak went through me whilst Iwas still flashing). You had the line so fairplay.

Yeah, but I feel so dirty when I do it. :guilty: Unless it's a car like an IS-F, which I managed to win in :dopey: Admittedly only against 2 drivers though, one an '07 WRX with less PP than me, and one a Lancer Evo X/Tuned who I could just keep at bay, but he crashed a couple times anyway. He would have caught me and won if not for that.

Edit: It was you that time at HSR bluedot, the one in a Z06/Tuned. I looked back and found out.

Oh Yeah, bit of a disaster that race was. I hope that we meet up again sometime under better circumstances.
 
Finished at work, so heading home and PP700 Suzuka.. so meet me there in about 30min or so..!
 
Thanks for the racing GTP_Timppaq, GTP_Aero-R and (very briefly) GTP_Fournier. Started off a punt-fest but by the end I thought almost all the racers were pretty clean. That Clio of yours is a beast kosketi81 I put down some pretty sweet laps and still couldn't keep up :crazy: Racing with GTP'ers is such a blast...love it! 👍👍👍
 
I'm back early! I'm still tired so I won't be racing.

Also on the convo about as long as GTP racers don't get punted, they should get the top spots, this isn't true, have any of you guys raced against the GTRP members ;)
 
Tonight I might throw few laps aroud Fuji F or Suzuka, but most likely I'll be quite drunk. So you'll find me only as finbaek.

p.s. I have met one GTRP member at Suzuka. GTRP-Willi was there with his tuned Viper, if I remember correctly. We had two great races. The first he won by tenths of a sec. And at the second race he showed some exeptional sportsmanship: When I had cleared my way for the second place, I was chasing him very close (with my white GT-R). It was the first or second lap and just at the brigde he slowed and let me make a clear pass. I won the race thanks to him. 👍👍👍
 
I Just spend a few days in Germany, quite in between Nurburg and Spa(B) and had the pleasure to do a bit of autobahn. I never made it to 300km/h, but 200+ in my Alfa 156 is fast enough passing lorries and the like (never mind the rain and poor visibility). :p
In other words, I'm in for some decent racing. I'll be following the schedule from page 1, but being a bit tipsy (it's our queen's birthday celebration today), I might not be quite able to keep up....
 
Those last few races on Suzuka: was it my connection that got me lagging or was everyone lagging?
It really became unplayable for me.
