Mixed feelings about tonight’s 8 to 9 pm (GMT+1) races at Suzuka P700; there were a few GTPers around amongst whom I remember and congratulate Vanubermaster and Rudi Raser for their clean and fast driving - sometimes too fast for me, specially in Rudi’s case (sorry mate, I slightly nudged you at the hairpin on the first lap of a race, there was a lot of traffic ahead and I guess you nearly had to stop!). On the other hand, though, a few guys, in particular WW_NB somenumber in a red Evo X, behaved like perfect idiots and insisted on ramming you whenever they got a chance. On one of the races I had to make like 3 comebacks from the sand, still managing 4th, but hey, it’s hell when you get stuck behind and have to keep waiting for the other guys to make their usual mistakes.
On what might have been the best race of the evening, lap 1 and I was 4th, with Rudi behind me and Vanuber ahead with what seemed 2 slow cars in 1st and 2nd, I got past Vanuber after the hairpin and was too eager to take the Aston up ahead, put a wheel on the outside grass and completely lost it! I finished that one after many rammings from the punters in the backfield, realising at the end that when you don’t actually cross the line within the time limit you don’t get to see the results… I wonder who won that race…

It was me in the Aston trying my luck! Unfortunately I ended up 7th or something. Since I'm very bad at tuning a had difficulties in keeping the car smooth without kicking the tail out. I think it can out-accelrate the GT-R.

I totally agree with the ramming part, some of those guys just rammed me in the wall wen I was trying to pass :dunce:

Did have some nice races with the GTP_racers,Rudi Raser and someone called 'gtirnlOOST'.Have to say although there were a lot of punters,Still had a great time racing you guys and girl.👍👍
 
Well if anyone's still around I'm gonna do some racing in 700PP Suzuka for an hour or two 👍

LOL!!!!!!!!! I can't wait either, it will be so much fun racing against GTP only members, and if were lucky private rooms might have Qualifying, I think it's a good idea:tup:
 
That was some great racing Stigs_Mate (Beefaben) 👍 Some other really good racers in there too, managed to rack up over 700,000 credits :crazy: That was one of the more enjoyable online racing experiences I've had, very little purposeful ramming from the other guys.

Thanks for the racing..it was good, though I was struggling to find a good setup with the GTR (dont normally race with it)..was playing with setup in between each race, so it was a bit of a test bed.
There were a few "punters" in there which was a shame and somewhat annoying !
The R8 is real quick through the corners but loses out on the straights.
Stepping out of the R8 into the GTR and I was outbraking myself and running wide everywhere : )

All I've done with the GT-R is put traction control on 4 and fiddled with power + weight until it was about 698 or something. It's pretty easy to drive with a bit of TC 👍

I saw you get shunted a couple of times pretty badly, still it was good fun. That Audi of yours was definitely hosing me on the corners, I'll have to play with some new cars soon...might go purchase me a few now.

You guys should try my tune of the GT-R in The Lion's Den (link in sig). It may provide the extra handling you're looking for. I recommend no TCS for it though. It will not likely spin the wheels anyway :)

On the main page of GT5p - My page -, you can go choose options. In the option you can program the buttons of your controller AND the steering for the controller itself. In this case the DFP (= G25 which I use). There are 3 settings, amateur, professional, simulation. I chose simulation, which makes it (as far as I know) more realistic and more difficult to drive. I also use only ABS set on 1.

Isn't that only for the Driving Force EX and other older steering wheels?

I might just stick with the normal settings (and no aids except ABS), my Vette is hard enough to control :scared: :lol:

Same ABS=1 is the only aid I ever use, ever.:sly:

I only managed to hook up with them once. It was the race I was hunting for all night. :bowdown: Rudi Raser, Honeycar, Jmr (all my old GTN team mates) were in the line up, and I also believe you were there together with LOOST. I managed to get myself out in front, so things were looking good, but even before I reached T1 on lap 1, I stupidly put myself into the sand, and out of contention. :banghead: :dopey:

We had some good races 👍
 
Great racing sphinx, rudi racer and kelly fast guys especially sphinx you only had 697 point or something and you were quick!!!! rudi racer didn't have a GTP tag but i knew it was a GTP member with quality driving
 
So, I know by the schedule there is a 600PP event coming up, but I'd really like to try my Tuned Vette against some GTP members. Any takers? Tell me where and when (700 PP)
