Personally, I could care less about racing online. It doesn't interest me at all. I just hope it isn't the reason for the perpetual delays.

Well like I said before I'll deff race online, because you go against actual people and not the computer but offline you win money cars and be able to tune your cars etc.. unless online you could win your opponents car or win credits or whatever sometihng to juice it up a bit then it will be exciting, but if not then i'll play more offline than online but i'll deff be online for sure...

It would be cool if you could do an online series race taken straight out of the game, so say if in the GT universe mode theres an FF cars only event limited to 200Bhp max, you enter that online with 5 other people and the prizes are the same, same prize Cr and at the end you win the same prize car. Keep the whole create your own race/series ect options as well though..

Remember that in 2001 both Kazunori and Ken Kutaragi (back then in behalf of of Sony Computer Enetertainment) made an early announcemt of GTN - Gran Turismo Network.
GTN probably won't live yet on this console, but I expect that GT game on PS3 will introduce GTN in way it was imagined (online racing, official world league, forums, chats, downloads...).
In GTN all the players from world would compete trough the national leagues in comprehensive system of championships, playing their way to an finals, all trough the official world championship. Broadband connections would allow other players to actually watch the races in real time, and you just imagine the possibilities there.
