Everybody, I would like to take a moment and say Happy Birthday @Litchi!

You do an incredible job with ORA development and help in GTWC, and although some people not realize the effort and time you put in, hard work always pays off and you've done an outstanding job up to now.
Hope you have a great day:)!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

we all appreciate the work you do for this series and the ORA! With you you i don't think there would be such thing as the ORA. WELL DONE!

My night was eventful...

Qualifying

I got off to an O.K. start, I started my first lap and immediately ran wide onto the astro-turf at turn 1 and sent the car mega sideways. I lost about 1.3-1.5 seconds on that lap, which I ran perfectly all the way round afterwards. My next lap I nailed turn 1 in 3rd gear and headed up to the second corner, I braked late like I usually do but I forgot to shift to 2nd and I ran the car super wide, which cost me about a second after avoiding astro-turf and headed straight for grass to get back on the road. I qualified 7th, but was knocked down to 9th. Well done to @Ramalhinho91 on pole. 👍

Sprint

The grid was shuffled but I started 9th, I lost sight of 3 drivers during the process of the game setting up the race, so apologies if I bumped into anyone at the start. I started decently but then shifted to 4th by mistake . I came to the first corner dead last, and I saw my teammate @j1Nk facing backwards on the exit of turn 1 and I made up 2 or 3 places. Coming to the second corner I was following 2 of 3 Nissan's, and when I realised I was braking way later than them I had to change lanes to avoid them and since there was no other way to go I went to the inside. I dabbed the brakes a tiny bit while I bumped one of them but didn't cause them damage because it was a tiny tap. But while dabbing the brakes @SSJGZWarrior ran into the back of me and gave me left-rear suspension damage (my fault mate, I obviously caught you out with me braking a little more). The damage wasn't too extensive so I carried on and coming to the third corner I was on the outside of one of the Nissan's and I then put a wheel on the grass in the braking zone and slid off of the circuit, dropping me to the back. I then charged my way back up the field, with damage. I overtook a BMW, a Nissan and an Audi. A few drivers then disconnected, which I think were behind me. I kept going until I finished 5th. I felt it was a good race and I hadn't actually properly raced since before Christmas so I was a little out-of-practice but I felt I managed it quite well. Well done to @Ramalhinho91 on winning the sprint race.

Endurance

I started the pace lap, and everyone behind me fell behind (not entirely sure why, I was doing 62mph / 100kmh), then the top 4 got into really close proximity on the front straight before we went. I timed the start just right and jumped @PJTierney to run into the first corner. @j1Nk again made a mistake, running 1 or 2 others wide at the first corner and I capitalised on that and moved into the lead. I kept going until about lap 3 or 4, when my lead extended to about 8 seconds, and then I spun . But I kept the lead and started to pull out again. People behind me started to pit from damage, until @yuc2002 and @BAZZER were behind me, I pulled my lead out to 4 or 5 seconds before @BAZZER spun and pit for damage (I think) so it was me and @yuc2002. I extended my lead to 9 seconds before disconnecting half way through :banghead:. But well done to @Toshost on winning the Endurance, even though I couldn't see you lol.

Thanks Mikey! As I'm been saying to my Nissan teammates, I don't know If I had the best setup for Red Bull Ring but the feeling of the car was just awesome. I practiced a lot I confess, and I knew that I could set a fast lap (within the 29's) with full tank but I was not expecting that time on Qualifying at all.
Let's see how it goes in Laguna Seca :)

I wish you all a good week

Wow, just finished the weekly exam and I read all your posts. Thanks guys, you made my day! Hell yeah, I'm 30 now, still climbing the mountain of ages again and again. Currently in a 3rd career accomplishment, 1st was my 6 years army expericence, then I became a warder and now I'm learning prison officer's job until June. 2014 was my come back on Gran Turismo Series, with a great accomplishment creating ORA, certainly the best thing I did on gtplanet since 2011. Yea, I confess, I prefer to organize rather than racing (don't worry, I still love racing huh). I still meet awesome people on gtpforums and this is why I still have the motivation to work for you even if 450 miles separates my PS3 and me.

Thank you guys, you're awesome!

What I saw was a honda side ways on my screen. A lot was happening and cars were acting strangely. During the endurance I saw PJ and another driver's car extremely close to one another that the two cars were merging together after the race I asked Coop if he saw what I saw and he did see it as well then we both laughed. Oh PD.

I can't remember who
It was RacingLine aka TRL_Evolution 👍
(and I say this with at least 1gram of alcohol in blood... It means that you have not watched the broadcast carefully enough :p )

@Litchi I think life is made of milestones, so congratulations on achieving another one in your journey!
I will tell you something, my dad is a prison officer too! Since 1988 lol He's currently in the only High Security prison of Portugal, and by coincidence the facilities are here in my hometown! It's not an easy job, at certain point the psychological side plays an important role.

I wish you the best and all the strength to keep this "circus" moving in the right direction ;)

Where were you in race 2? Lol. We must have been really close if you had won!

I am not sure what you mean. Are you talking for the pre-season test race or the Endurance from the 1st round?

Is it possible to do this test on the PS3? That would be a much more accurate representation of my connection since it's wired.

The test should work on the PS3. I tried the test on both my system and laptop and got the same results. Some internet test do not work for the PS3. The one I tried was provided by my internet company not the one in the link I given out. The one I given out is more accurate and shows your internet's fluctuation.

I tried Laguna Seca this evening and my best was a 21.7, It's such a nice track to drive with no margin for error :)

Anyone else done any testing yet?

Hoping for a repeat of RMTC with a smoother outcome!
