Today's races were a complete madness... I hope Polyphony Digital solve this cause this is nothing :indiff:
Now, I want to thank the red Mercedes SLS for ruining my Endurance Race right at the first corner and one of the BMW's when I was trying to catch the pack after one non schedule pit stop as well
But most important, I want to apologize @RodeRuner1967 for hitting him when he spun at second corner on the last lap. I was driving too close and when his rear left tyre touched that slippery piece of track I just couldn't avoid contact. He told me I made contact right in the braking zone but I didn't noticed... I don't know if there was some lag but I really tried to be cautious in the aproach.
I know the Stewards were a little stressed due to conections problems, but this is something that none of us can control... I know that all of you are doing your best.
Keep going and focus on Round 2 ;)

I was the Red Merc but you might want to see who knocked me into you before thanking me for that, cheers.

For what reason?
That is to represent more closely cars team names. You are Black Falcon racing and the color we wanted to use to represent it was black. You can find this when your team was announced it said the color next to the car

I know it's just a game, but people are doing serious work to make this series great. cheers to them, must be tough to manage us all
Indeed, it is :crazy::dopey:

These blablablas should be discussed in private.

For what reason?
Because the 2014 Black Falcon Mercedes is black

Depending on the outcome of today's results and what happens next week I might not carry on so I'll keep it red for now.

I know @Litchi, I wasn't trying to be offensive to anyone ;)
I know, I know you. I know that you never offense anyone here. But I want to avoid to get one more time the drama we had for pre-season 1, you see. Some people here are very nervous and lucky you, you didn't say that to some guys like ozweels, or the answer wouldn't have been the same. So you see, I have to be a bit more strict to make sure that everything go well. I don't like that cause I'm already very strict every days at work. I would prefer to be coolest here but sometimes I have to do the Papa's job you know.

But, case is closed for me ;)

So what did everyone think of the commentary this time around?
Awesome man! As I had said at the start of the live feed in a comment, I feel like you guys have already become the voices for our series. Meaning that like in F1, WEC, whatever, you're just comfortable with the normal commentators that match each series and you guys are ours I reckon ;) a good pairing between yourself and Cheezeit of course brntguy for behind the scenes. Kudos to your efforts, it's not for everybody and you guys make it sound a little easy now 3rd time around! You'll continue to be familiar with all the drivers and cars so keep at it! Gets better every round, and making it quite exciting to be watching how PRO went even if I had a messy event in AM, it cheers me up and pumped for next week. I'm watching about half way through still just now but very much enjoying it :).
Btw intro and cut scenes are awesome!

Edit: Oh dear, didn't realise how bad PRO had their lobby dramas also till I've just seen this lol. I find it interesting everybody in Pro can remain quite calm and contained while everything is sorted although things are delayed, but hey that way everybody gets to race and it's not rushed into half a sham right? I dunno, just my 2 cents on attitudes. Very well done on a nice start to the enduro after delays.

We don't want you to leave Bazzer, but you asked for what reason and you were given one by Litchi and CodDemon. Please change your car color to the proper color for the next race coming up.
Thank you :)

It was certainly an eventful evening, seemed like nothing wanted to go right for us.

Pre-Race:
@SSJGZWarrior sent me a Ford GT tune following the issues I had at Motegi and it made a big difference; the car was quite stable and didn't have any major understeer issues either.
I did a few laps while waiting for people to join the lobby and made some minor adjustments, and felt I could get a relatively good result from the night's races.

Qualifying:
After much delay we finally got underway for Qualifying. Given my lack of practice my one-lap pace wasn't too great, so I ended up 11th.
Ultimately that didn't matter however as the game decided to shuffle the grid order for the Sprint.

11th

Sprint Race:
I started in 3rd after the grid order got jumbled and made a clean pass for P2 at Turn 1.
Spent a few laps following @j1Nk before @BAZZER and @Ramalhinho91 caught us up.
I held off both briefly before getting outpaced but then had a comfortable P4 for the majority of the race.

Towards the end @j1Nk and @BAZZER had spins which put me up to P2, however @BAZZER was able to catch up.
The two of us then had a frantic las-lap battle which he eventually won, putting me down to P3.

Still happy to start the season with a podium however.

3rd

Endurance Race:
The Endurance was cut to 40 minutes due to our delays and in the confusion I thought for a second that it was a standing start.
I shot out in front before realising my mistake and slowing down rapidly. That might have caused @Toshost to go off behind me and take damage, meaning we had to run a second formation lap.

Once we did get going I took some damage when there was contact at Turn 1 but I tried to drive it off for a few laps.
Eventually gave in and pitted, but unfortunately I missed the pitlane entrance and got a drive-through instead, costing me 20 seconds.
By the time I finally made my stop I was 50 seconds off the leaders, but had switched to RM and got ready to chase my way up the field.

I passed 1 or 2 cars fairly quickly before catching up to @SSJGZWarrior.
I followed him closely but going into the final corner I followed him too closely and rear-ended him in the braking zone, giving us both damage (sorry about that, my fault entirely).

A few minutes later I disconnected along with 2-3 other drivers.

DNF (D/C)

Despite the issues we had with the lobby and the frustration it caused the racing was pretty good from what I experienced.
The cars feel very well-balanced and I finally had a car that I could feel confident in driving.

Hopefully things improve next week.

happened to me last season at qualif at Suzuka i Think

I think remember that, Internet is what it is, sometimes work sometimes not i couldn't join the last S2 race for this reason, but those freeze i have since the last update usually appened when i quit the track faster than i should do, after that the PS3 freezing (not the game or the internet) i still can hear what's appened on the track, i can even go on the track but i have this ******g black screen, disconnect the ethernet cable don't do anything even the "PS" switch don't work, the only way to come back is to reboot the PS3.
But it's the first time that appened before to start an event.
The rules are the rules i wasn't in the formation lap, i couldn't expect a restart unfortunatelly, but just in case someone saw it i drop my bottle on the sea.

Sprint :
Disconnected.

Endurance :
I started 14/15, finished 11/14 (2 was stopped in their pit, 1 on the track and 1 dsc), i tryed a 2 stop strategy as often, the strategy was ok but i was 1 seconde slower than my training pace, i think i should fight for the 8/9th.
I lost 25 seconde in my 2 lastest lap, i had to accelerate around 50-75% to finish the race with fuel, i had fun

I really like your reports @PJTierney.

Qualifying
I had arrived to Round 1 only getting very little practice, but for the most part, I was able to get 29's on RH. Qualifying went underway and on the outlap, I got too much on the rumble strip on the final corner before my first flying lap and hit the inside wall (this would come to haunt me later). I never was able to go my fastest and ended in dead last but only 2 seconds from the leader.

14th

Sprint Race
I had got off to a pretty fast start but could do nothing with it as I had to tuck back for Turn 1, however I was able to gain a position. I was also glad to see no crashes in the first two corners. Going up to turn 2 I tried to take a heavy inside line in the hopes to gain a position or two and gained one. From then on a made my way into a five car battle that lasted about half the race but then FRS_SK8R was able to pull away and create a gap. It was then four of us and it was frustrating for me to be stuck there even though it was a lot of fun. It seemed whenever I got close to the front of the four car battle I made a little error which brought me right to the back. I finally had the chance to hopefully take a lead and I took the inside line on TORCHON into T3 and got a bit of contact but resulting in no damage. As he lost a position I decided to give it back which resulted in me losing the three positions and once again being stuck in the four car battle. Got a little damage later on but the battle calmed down a But and I just drove the car home.

8th

Endurance Race
After more lobby troubles thanks to PD, we got underway and I was able to pick up a few positions at the beginning but the lead pack was slowly creating a gap. I had a couple battles and then when I was going for my first pit Gabguss had quickly caught up and was going for his second stop. A rather un-characteristic move from him was when we both went into the pits the same lap but he went around the outside ignoring the lines even though I had made it pretty clear that I was going to pit as I had slowed down more than usual for that corner. He got in the pits right before me and left the pits with a pretty large gap even though I did not add that much fuel. I got out right in front of rcb and a bit later I once again caught the rumble strip too much and was going to go again in the inside wall but rcb was there and got sandwiched between me and the wall and gave us both some damage. Late in the race I caught GRECO, but he held on well not wanting to give the position up. 5zigen caught up and see was behind and catching up quickly. I was in a pretty long battle with 5zigen before he pulled ahead and then at the end I was passed by seb.

Thank you :)

I won't be quitting because of the colour. It'll be what the organisers say or do about yesterday's disaster.

Thanks for your consideration @Litchi ;) I'm not an hostile guy. I do love to compete and I'm always looking for improvements but I would never say or do things to annoy other drivers. I see myself as a competetive person behind the wheel but when it's over I actually like to joke, in the good way of course :)
I totally understand the job that you and all the others Stewards are having so I know you need to be strict.
