All this talk of how good or bad the damage modelling is going to be. To be honest I'd be just as happy if there was no damage in the game. It isn't what the GT series is about. All I want are: Realistc physics, a great selection of tracks(old and new), a huge roster of cars, and some interesting race competitions. BUt please ditch the endurance races unless you can save your game halfway through.

Endurance races are part of the experience of racing. They are the most challenging races of all, if only because they exact a great toll on the driver's endurance. It's easy to be stressed out in such a race.

That said, I would like all of the original tracks preferably, though I know that won't happen for a long, long time. More cars and tracks are what I'd like to see in future GT games. Damage modeling is very welcome, because it adds significantly more risk and challenge to a difficult race.

To be honest, I felt that way too in the beginning. I mean, we were babied for so long in GT1-4. You hit a wall, you're fine. Your car is as pretty as ever. No damage. But that's so unlike real life. It's a fantasy world. GT strives to be realistic, and that's why damage in GT5 is a sign of maturity.

And in regard to realistic physics: I'd put damage right up there with driving physics. They're both equally important in a racing sim.

Yeah, but what I'm saying is that I wouldn't mind having endurance races but ONLY if you can save your race. Not everybody has the time or the patience to sit and play a racing game for 4+ hours. It worked in the F1 games, and the races were still stressful because you had to balance your tactics with pit stops etc. GT needs to be realistic, yes, but enjoyable. Endurance races with no save option is just a one big unnecessary pain.

I've noticed none of the original fictional tracks will be on GT5. This was upsetting when I first heard it mainly because of the nostalgia that came along with it.

Wouldn't it be tight to have some of the original tracks on GT5 so you can see the advancement in graphics over the past 11 years.

Let's hope the original tracks will be part of a downloadable content back that I have no problem paying for.

What are yall's thoughts on the original tracks and the possibility of them returning for GT5?

Talk to me GTPlanet!

Oct 2009 - Ahhh, it's amazing the things they can come up with in only another 8 months delay, ain't?
Hell, give them another two years, and we'll have racing modifications again.💡

That's why they invented B-spec, assuming it will be in GT5 as well, you can let those races be driven with the time speeded up.
Yes it isn't much fun, but when you do find the time you could always drive them again yourself.
