The way I was treated by some of these guys was just insane.

Now you guys are probably wondering what is going to happen to the car you have chosen. The answer to this is simple. Nothing at all. You will remain in your selected car as the practice races we have held show they are suited to you. However i will be taking notice throughout the series and if i feel your getting more benefit than you should from the car i will apply a ballast penalty to you.

I had a tough season at McCheese racing but I have been working closely with my engineers and personal trainer towards turning that around. The Celica is great , I'm very happy with it so far and the boys have done a great job getting it ready for the new season.

The GT300 cars are all similar from all the practice rounds we did. The only exceptions are the RX7 and Celica which are easily 1 second faster then the rest. They all have their pro's and cons. Some car suit twisty short tracks while other suit tracks with longer straights to stretch their legs. The tracks for this series give a combination of both. Parity wont be a problem also with the Ballast penalties.

Hi guys, just letting you know I won't be competing in the series.

It's just not practical with my work situation at the moment. I get so little time on GT5, the idea of having a place in a series just isn't realistic. Even as a wildcard driver, I don't want to use the little time I get on GT5 doing prac and setup work for a series that I'd be lucky to get only a round or 2 in.

I didn't get a race in during the last series, and I know it'd be the same for this one too.

Best of luck with it guys. As soon as my work situation changes I'll be back.

I sent a longer message to Oni to spell out my reasons in more detail.
 
Bought a new 160GB PS3 today, my original one was from Singapore and had some issues with some games as the functions of the x and o buttons were reversed.

Got it from Big W, but the girl in the electronics department had no idea what she was doing.

She didn't know what a PS3 was, she didn't know what gigabytes were, and she didn't know what a HDMI cable was.
When she did work all of that out after me explaining, she couldn't find a PS3 in the warehouse, and had to get someone else to get it.
It took almost an hour all up.

If she wasn't so hot it might have slightly annoyed me. :)

Got my work roster for next week , may not make Monday nights start in time. Depends how many hours I get. Will have a word with the chiefs and see if I can wrangle somethin.

Important notice to everyone in the series

I apologize to you all as i have made a error in parity of the cars. After some testing and mock races i have found the
Garaiya to be on very close with the RX-7 and Celica in pace with the other cars lagging behind.

The following car regulations are now in effect

Not to sure how much testing you did when you put the stage 2 on the suby but it is no different, yes it says we have more torque but it's not in any if our cars.

Out of 8 cars, position 4-8 were subarus
 
We have a set of equal car specs for the gt300's
You are welcome to use them, just give credit to the WSGTC and PURE for the specs. 👍

I got each car within a Tenth of each other after limiting the others and boosting some. I wont limit the Celica and RX-7 as they are Tier 3 cars.

With the Stage 2 turbo the subbie can now draft other cars as before it couldnt.
 
Just an idea . . . though probably too late to implement into the series:

Most of us own a list of GT300 cars / if not all. So it could be that you have don't race the same car through the whole series. And we do something like the tyre rule in that you've got to race different cars through the series. And as some guys won't own all cars then it works that you can only race a car twice. Then some of the skill / strategy will be in choosing which car for which track.

And the list is easy enough to check as it will be logged in the series results page(s)

Just an idea that would an easy to do by-pass a lot of the parity 'complications'
 
I did that in my very first series and it caused a major crap storm. People would pick cars that suited that one track and so on for the next round.

With all the GT300 cars they have strengths and weaknesses. Some tracks favour 1 car while others favour another. Just like most racing series out there you cant just jump in another teams car. Cheers for the idea though Mick.

well we couldn't replicate your testing last night, I couldn't better my time. Infact no one could and they all tried driving the suby and were slower doing 14s

I didn't give it a go...but I see your point.:D

Regarding the Garaiya...I hadn't read your post on here Oni so I was still running my Garaiya at the 335BHP limit that you sent to me via PSN pm. Since reading the specs I have brought my Garaiya inline with the new 94% power limit regulations...I am yet to test it.;)

Regarding the speed of the Subie last night, it appears that at DF Reverse it was struggling a bit...it is hard to tell until we get further into the series if the Subie will benefit froma tighter track...requiring a more 'point and shoot' approach.
