Thank you for the input, but this thread is more than two months old. This car has been painted and repainted a few times now

First off, STOP HAMMERTIME, don't paint it chrome or flourescent. Or some hideously mismatched combination of bright colors. If you did that, repaint it.

Black on white as suggested earlier would be cool, black on yellow would be cool, a darker, metallic color might work well too.

I took one of the early suggestions and did a blue with white rims, though there are a few other ideas I like, so I may paint my other one as well.
