Parking your car in GT4!?

Choosing "Drift" instead of "Race" doesn't change your cars settings at all.
It alters your control input.
Some cars will be faster using drift, whether or not you pick "drift" as your
input scheme (i.e., just because I haven't picked "drift" doesn't mean I won't be drifting, I never pick "drift.")
And you can't rally without drifting.

You should revise your definition of "settings".

Also I don't understand in which context you wrote your whole post.
 
He was just replying to us saying Drift has been a stable option of the series. What he said I don't get however, I thought live4speed's interpretation of the Race/Drift difference was right.
 
I mean it would be cool if you could expand your garage into the driving park as a car park. I'm going to have a hard time being limited to 200 cars.

me three! 200... definitely not enough for this one... that would only allow me to own 1 of every skyline in the game ;)
 
You mean theres only going to be 200 Skylines in GT4, PD are letting their game slip.

Forget parking. Why not have a chance to buy security systems for your cars? You know, from a simple car alarm to SWAT protection! Yeah! Think about it. You can buy an electric fence, a pair of rottweilers, an on-duty SWAT team... all of which to prevent your car from being jacked. Parking? We'll see.

Meanwhile, congratulations to Argentina for defeating Uruguay in Copa America competition by a score of 4-2. More games tomorrow as those wonderful Spanish announcers go crazy when a goal is scored. Anyhow, there's some witty commentary from me to you. Enjoy.

Of course he is - less commentary on every single sporting event on Earth though John ;) At least be consistent - you didn't even tell us who won the bog snorkelling championship that was held recently.

A gymkhana (open to correction) is an event where people turn up in reasonably normal cars and just take part in interesting tests of driver skill througout the day. Maybe you have to slalom through some cones, flick-spin the car around the end and go back, drive in a circle moving a tennis ball from the top of one cone to the next, things like that.

ya Kaz told me that to increase the diversity of cars in the game they were gonna lower the # of Skylines from 300 to 200 and Evo's from 200 to 150. To make up to 500 cars, they then will add 149 versions of the stock Dodge Aries, and 1 Chrysler LeBaron for something a little more sporty. :sly:

Hey, did you know there are hidden Skylines in GT3, including an 'M-Spec' that's worth 10mil? Maybe there'll be more hidden Skylines in GT4, and 1 Miata for every staff member

Of course I was joking about the alarm deal. Hey, even I have a sense of humor at times. I still think that perhaps if parking is implemented for GT4, it would be interesting to take your car to shows. I mean, whether you're into museums, outdoor gatherings, concours, or even Hot Import Nights-style shows (by that, I mean energetic shows and techno and breakbeat), maybe you'll have a chance to have your car be seen by wonderful people. Before you knock me on "HIN-style" shows, don't think that I'm endorsing import shows. I'm basically talking about a trendy gathering. Then again, how would you like to see your car in an energetic show?

Its a racing game with a historical slant which will probably covered by video footage and a few historical cars to race.

Maybe Shows could be organised on the internet? Oh look So and So fitted chrome wheels and a body kit to his car.
I can look at the cars in my garage. What more do you need, a walk around garage with all my cars would be good.
 
Okay, there is no parking your car, theres a car park, but a car park does not mean PD is going to make us have to park our cars.

No, silly. I meant buying a garage (as in the building) to store more cars in. I know very few people who have big enough garages for two hundred cars.
 
Hmm, say you start the game with a 100 car garage and at a certain point in the game an option to upgrade to a 200 car garage becomes available for a certain ammount of Cr and then 300 cars ect.
 
^ on that note... i don't get why the garage would be limited to 200 cars. The GT save file is nowhere near 8MB at that level... it's gotta be able to hold 500 cars and still have room for replays on a memory card.
 
You should be given a choice, the more cars you have the more card space you use, so when you get 100 cars it could ask if you want to open up another 100 car slots for however much memory until the card is full.
 
Yes, that is pretty bad, but they probably will update it, they always look at what can be improved from GT3 and the previous ones.
