Parking your car in GT4!?

hm.... now this is waht i call intrusting.... any1 know what the heck he meant by paking lot for sure?
 
I don't think he actually said it, he just...showed it. But i'm pretty sure it will be just watching your car going around and looking good under those perfectly placed lights.
 
Ok, according to the *All the Info on GT4* Thread, the Parking Lot is one of those menu options, or car options.

Taking out loans to buy a car and stuff? WHAT? If that happened, it would be the ONLY Game that did that (I've never seen another game do that)

i jumped to one conlusion when i saw parking lot during E3...

a Lot where you have your cars parked and can walk around looking at them and/or taking photos

I would like to walk around a big garage viewing all your cars in first person. I think that'd be cool.

in the amusement park trade, that name is shortened to park, and hence Car theme park, could be shortened to 'car park'. Admittedly that seems confusing but that seems a distinct possibility to me.
 
umm... dosen't using the drift setting in arcade just turn off ASM and TCS check the settings man.

No, to do that you go into the options and turn them off in there for the arcade cars, the cars using the drift setings are setup differently too.

Anyhow, there have been games that offered you loans for you to do whatever. A prime example is when I played "Sim City" on the Super NES. The only way to access loans is to build your city up to 10,000 people (which would mean a "City" designation). When you are asked about building a bank in your city, you are able to take out a $10,000 loan. This was perfect in building a $5,000 Seaport, a $5,000 Nuclear Power Plant, or a $10,000 Airport (in the game, of course. Don't think you can buy out an airport with $10K). If this applied to GT4, you'd have a little more pocket change for tuning up. The weirdest case of loans was in the Bullfrog PC game "Theme Hospital." In later stages, you can take out a $5,000 loan to help pay for hospital costs, building new rooms, purchasing land and countless other stuff. But it's tricky at times. The good thing is that you can pay off the loan whenever you have enough money left to pay the bank back.

Whatever financial plans will be in GT4, take advantage of them when you have money and a good car and plenty of races under your belt. Or imagine leasing a car and having to pay seperate payments every 5 or 10 days! I might want to talk about this issue elsewhere in the future.
 
Just a note on the subject of memory and game saves...

Really, the only thing that would really make me happy is being able to have more than just one game save on the same memory card. I mean, I'm a poor person, and I can't afford the $30.00USD it costs every time I want to start GT over again. I like to keep what I've accomplished.
 
^ Good point. It was much easier to do this on GT1/2 simly because PS1 cards were so much cheaper. But the PS2 cards seem to struggle to drop below £20.00 UK.
 
I concur... it's really frustrating having to limit yourself to one GT career pre memory card... although I have to warn you on this... Prologue just reads off the data and doesn't even ask if you want to load it when it loads... so I suspect that GT4 will be limited to one game per card again!!

I used to enjoy starting all over again in GT1... but 2 & 3 were too big to do that with And therefore 4 will be too big to do it with too!!

I think the only way to tell about the settings for drift vs racing mode in Arcade would be to save a lap replay of each and load it into MKs car editor and see if the settings are identical.

On the topic of console games, yes there are only a few, but in terms of PC games, there are loads

Theme park sims are good examples (TPW, TPI, RCT, RCT2 etc. etc.)
along with as you said, simcity and theme hospital, and also a few other of those cheap and nasty tycoon style games.
