Patch 1.11 wishlist

Since a lot of people want RIM SIZE
Why not include bigger Brake Kits?

As well CVT Transmissions.
I love to use manual on all cars, but CVT would be almost 100% of engine power so it be great to get most out of the engine during a race.

As well PD, please doint waist time in including new cars left and right, just include mode body kits, and upgrade Standard models to Premium. Oh and dont forget to make ALL Premium cars Race Upgrade!

This comes up a lot and I've been thinking about it a fair bit. Not least because there's no way I can complete the endurances without an mid-race save.

I reckon there's two factors here: willing and ability. Do PD actually want to have mid-race saves and are they capable of adding them?

I can't help thinking that the problem lies with option 1 in that PD don't want to allow users to save in the middle of races. Why is a differnet matter. Maybe to stop "cheating"?

When it comes to the ability side of things, I wonder if there is a problem here as well. If you think about everything that is going on at any given moment in a race, the amount of data required for a save must be massive, so how realistic is to be able to take a snapshot at that point and then be able to restore it without anything changing? Though didn't Le Mans 24Hr on the DC have mid-race saves?
Am I wrong that they had them in 3?

regarding xp id like to see a few alterations, perhaps... damage to your car could reduce the final win amount. whatever damage is incurred will be deducted from the amount you win. crashing, large shunts, racing the wrong way from other racers will reduce xp significantly.

each car should be taken care of by the user, so the user has to protect it. best they can, not trashing it. having to rebuy parts, when damaged. rebuy tyres when worn from excessive wear, drifting etc. the users intro when gt boots could be of there car in a warehouse or scene with representative damage, indicating it needs repairing fast, all damage unless repaired carries over into next race.

really be nice to have some classic f1 cars from the past.

gymkhana we were told wed get this by the head sony guy that blurted about karts which were added...still not forgotten about this.

track maker is a hugely under developed feature...could add far more longevity to the game, with this feature alone if further developed and given some more flexibility.

fix reflections on cars bodywork, tsukuba and nordschliefe are great, others suffer from really bad pop in reflections.

wet weather top gear test track, stig challenge... possibly. to win stig full outfit.

leaderboards for all tracks and cars.

generally there are areas this game has you mesmerised while racing....especially with a wheel its immense fun. but a few areas just need a quick lick of paint to bring it back up to par and i think when all thats done well be ready for DLC.

I don't want 1.11 update.

I want GT5 2.0.

Double the offline content. 100 more RM cars. Save in the pits, no matter what race. The 20 something old tracks. 20 new tracks. All 2011 models for the manufacturers already in the NCD.

Oh and more Go Kart models/variations for Gogatrs. He's a Go Kart Ninja.

I would like to see the stickers on race cars like GT cars and LMPs light up at night like they do IRL. THEY ARE SO COOL.

  • Adjustable AI difficulty like on GT4 for Arcade (for instance from -10 to +10).
I'm bored of having to choose an underpowered car just because the Ai can't do turns at high speeds.

  • Big prizes for the endurances.
I can't do an A-spec endurance if the reward is 80.000 credits, I need something like 1.000.000>

  • Options menu before a race.
I need to change audio options sometimes

  • More car/PP restrictions
What's the sense of doing an race/endurance for normal street cars with a x2010?

And I agree with the suggestions on the first post, especially for the replay controls, the weather and the whole garage for arcade instead of favorites (I have more than 100 favorites..)

Bigger field. Such as 32 cars instead of 16. Online and offline.

The PS3 will never be able to handle that while keep anything near 60fps.

To me all this game really needs is a race editor. Basically something that lets you set every possible regulation for off or on line races. In addition to everything that is offered online now, you could choose exactly which cars would be allowed in a race, exactly what upgrades they are allowed to have, choose either laps or time for the race distance, grid order, etc.

This would enable truly fair online races and more competitive offline races.

Fully agree with that.

Just to add though, the ability to earn credits with this mode would be the icing.

Darn.

I would love for there to be car restrictions online! That would be cool. I guess I would go with that then. :)

- Cr cap increase to let's say 50m
- more rim choices
- b-spec seasonals
- single car view scrolling in the garage
- tire branding (such as michellin, bridgestone, pirelli, firestone, continental, etc.. may or may not have actual driving effects/differences)

-Little car icon when displaying time difference in a race, ala previous GT games.

If we are going into delicate details than I would also like to have real-time mileage counter on bumper-view dials as in GT3/GT4.

It's not dumb, it's correct. :) Tires stop the car, not brakes. As long as the brakes can lock the wheels (or activate ABS), then the only way to improve stopping distances is stickier tires (or major aero).

Brake upgrades, in real life, only prevent over-heating; i.e. they allow *repeated* max-decel stops. Typical stock brakes will fade (can't use all the tire grip) after just a few laps, esp. with sticky aftermarket tires. Brake fade never actually occurs in GT5 -- you can always use all the available grip. Or, in other words, every time you buy a set of upgraded tires, you're also getting a free brake upgrade.

Now back to your 1.11 wishlist...

I have never read such a load of utter trash on this forum.

You need to do some learning young man. Lots of learning.
