Nah I just know that it takes practice to drive the X1 and if everyone thinks they know how to it will wreck it for everyone else ,I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong but I can't see that happening.

Believe me, there are plenty of cars available to the masses without any kind of exploit that allow for them to screw up an online race. Heck in most races you can pick from a grage of cars, many of which you don't even have.

Matchmaking and ranking is the closest you are going to get to any kind of savior for a good online experience.

HHmmm, exploiting a game and sending out clones of the most powerful car.

Showing it off is the reward for the effort and time invested. Seeing that you must not get that at all. I don't feel sorry for you either..... not one bit.

Again, if you are worried about ruining the experience of earning the car, it's not ruined for you unless you do the exploit in which case no one to blame but you and no one to hurt but you.

If you are worried about showing off and bragging to others... well I don't know why that would be anything to be proud of or miss.

Look at it this way, does the fact that everyone had access to the 30 lives code mean that those who beat Contra in only 3 didn't get the same sense of achievement as if the 30 lives code hadn't been there in the first place?

Its not that Im worried about and not worried much about GT5 its GT6 thats begining to worrie me now...

The way people ruin their experiences doesnt bother me much and to be honest I really dont like bragging about achievments in videogames. Its the concequences their actions have on the next videogame and the way it will affect my experience thats whats worrying me

I second that. I did it once. I was born Nov 69 and I figured I would try and get the cobra. I got a POS vette!! But it took too long I'd rather spend my time driving than creating accounts. I have no problem saying people that do it over and over didn't get the game to drive they got it to collect cars. But they bought the game they can enjoy it how they see fit.

I see no issue with that either. Just have an IP ban and trade bad in place for those that like to exploit to keep them out of the community is all. That way, you can sit there and hack,cheat,exploit all day long right? So only you can be proud of all that you dishonestly earned. That way everyone's happy. Oh and being 40 only goes to show that dishonesty has no age limit. I was born that year as well.... it was a good year.

I've been doing mine by the book though it is annoying. Didn't do the Birthday glitch and have only backed up my files in case of YLOD which seems to be occuring on 'Fat' PS3s which mine is.

I really want the FGT, and RB X1 but will have to wait.

Why would you buy a 20milion car by saving loads of money by playing through the game when some idiot is giving 5 of them away for trade for a mustang etc.....

Anyone who's lost a PS3 to the YLOD (and I have) will know that what really hurts is not the repair bill or the replacing the MB, it's the loss of save data for games you've completed or nearly finished. For a game like GT5 where we will be sinking not hours but days into collecting cars and exp points then being able to backup a save game will be a very useful insurance policy.

I commend PD for listening to the users on this one.

I'm so out of touch, I always thought the point of putting time into a game was to enjoy that time. If you don't enjoy it why are you doing it at all? If you do enjoy it why does it matter how other people choose to enjoy it?

If you're looking to achieve something then games consoles aren't the place to start. Try focusing that desire onto something more productive.

Something you just posted and failed to even see by your comments. But I'm sure PD will put a stop to it pretty fast. Watch for the patch in less then a week, lol...

So you spend all your free time griding the same race over and over again for that measly 90k, you're not having much fun but you see the credits add up and that's what keeps you going. You do all this for hours upon end just to get a virtual asset that should have been unlocked at the start when you bought the damn game. "No matter" you think, because soon you will have all the digital content that is contained on the disk available to you. You're playing the game the developers intended you to play, nevermind that you can be having actual fun doing time trials or racing online or anything really other than the same monotonous event, over and over again. But screw having fun in a video game! It's all about the work! Afterall nothing beats that feeling of accomplishment when you look at all the cars you have in your virtual garage. Suddenly, an exploit appears allowing people to just enjoy the game without it being a chore. It is then that you realize how much time you've wasted on bs. Commence rage.

I joined this forum (many years ago) to discuss gaming / gran turismo and thats what i come here to talk about, i have other life interests which i do not discuss on a gaming forum.

Yous have no idea about me or my life except from what you read, all i write about on a gaming forum surprisingly is about gaming. If i frown upon cheating you will read about it in my posts.

Will you guys just calm down? Think of the main reason why the ability to back up saves was added. Imagine you working very hard to get up to say, level 35 in A/B spec, you have all these good cars and completed the challenges you thought were impossible

when all of a sudden, your PS3 gets YLOD. ALL YOUR HARD WORK WILL BE WASTED

But backing up our saves solves this issue because should your PS3 goes bust, you still have the data for when you get your PS3 replaced.

If people want to use this exploit for cloning and stuff, Its their decision, its not like people are forcing you to do this too

You go around insulting everyone's values because they use an exploit in a game because it helps them enjoy something they paid for but don't necessarily have time to do the way it was intended (as ridiculous as it might be).

You put so much worth into your video game accomplishments. You tell people their parents raised them poorly, without values, and all sorts of other nonsense...because of FAKE CARTOON CARS.

Are you serious? You have no idea how old we are or what some of us do. I don't care to post why I have so little time to play (I don't need to brag, nor get yours or anyone elses e-approval), but I can assure you it is a pretty decent cause. But despite all that you assume a lot about me and others because you tried really hard in a video game and are butthurt because others don't want to and have found a way around it.

The irony being, I don't have an X1, I don't care. When I get to level 30 I'll do the challenge and get one when I get there, if ever. If I get bored in the meantime, I'll find one some other way, if not I won't, point is who the hell cares? Certainly not me, seems you are more concerned about my fake garage than I am.

Wait...You can't backup the save? I thought PD said they were coming out with a patch so you could...and I thought this patch (1.05) included the ability to do just that.
