I saw the Pearl Harbor movie this weekend, and I must say it is awesome.  Don't miss it.

I agree.  I saw it opening night.  It was three hours, but wasn't boring.  The movie had something in it for both the guys and the girls (very rare).  Great movie.

Hey, Corey!  Welcome to the community!  ;)  (Corey's the one responsible for the new look we've got here)

The 3 hours does go by really fast.  I only felt like I had been in the theatre that long when I stood up and could not feel my rear.

LOL.  Yea, I felt that way a little right before the Dolittle raid on Japan, but I think it was a good way to end the movie.

Over here, the movie has got really bad reviews but from what I have seen, just clips, it looks amazing and I can't wait to see it.

Really?  I'm suprised by that.  Some of it actually takes place over there with the white cliffs of Dover and stuff.

Most of the critics here don't like it because they think the Japanese are portrayed as being to soft.  They are probably right, but I don't think it affects the movie at all.

Or that it might cause a Japenese hate backlash.  And, seriously, it did make me think a little differently about the Japenese (not saying that is good...but we Americans find it hard to watch as our own men are blown out of the water without even giving up a big fight--it looked like we really got our arses kicked that day.

Yeah, we did get our arses kicked that day.  I've been to Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, and it is really quite a spectacular place.

Us Brits, especially the press, seem to be a bit funny about what you guys do. I don't know why it is and most of the time it is unjustified so behalf of the United Kingdom, the Queen and Tony Blair, I would like to apoligise to your humble nation

Oh, thank you so much, Phil.  :)

Nope, especially not with good ole' George in charge of things here.  :)

LOL :D

That chap is the but of many jokes over here. Hopefully if all goes well tonight, we will stay unchanged because the leader of the other main party is just as bad as little Bush Jr. How much coverage do you get of our General Elections over there ?

That's the only time worth watching C-Span!

Parliament always provides a good laugh!  :D

lol wait.... 10 months... hehe :p

I saw it. Totally historically incorrect. It is a 2 anda half hour love Story with 30 minutes of action stuffed in.

Very disappointing, but what do you expect from Matt Damon and Josh Hartnett?
