perhaps GT6 is falling behind.

I searched the last few pages, fraud is not found except for you and then me mentioning it. Where is that quote from?

Oh, you're going back to something said on page 2. Why? The conversation has moved on and you were replying as if someone just said that.
Because the conversation is with exactly the same person, about exactly the same point, except he used a slightly different word this time.

Do you really just have to disagree and cause the utmost frustration for the sake of doing so?

I'm just going to leave this here for you own benefit, do not misquote or even go one further to essentially divine a post with sole intent of misrepresenting any one word based on whatever prior circumstance or conversation.

I was curious where he got that and now it all makes sense.

All I did was quote, exactly, what the member in question had said. The conversation was on the same topic, whether he call it fraud, irresponsible advertising, vague advertising, or anything. I am not violating the AUP, and I have not misquoted the member. I'm more than willing to continue defending this as I have not committed any offence.

->Gran Turismo 6 gets a new update
->Forza Motorsport 5 gets a brand-new track.

I'm starting to think that Gran Turismo has reached it's peak.

How will they fight (and survive) Forza Motorsport 5, if they don't deliver??

Wings? Custom wings? wtf????? If I want wings i'll go to KFC, If I want custom wings i'll make them at home.I want some tracks and cars, not wings, not data logger, no some stupid GPS gadget that only works if you have the right car………

So, how 'bout that thread topic? Anyone

You mean other than using a previous statement to discredit a newer one, perhaps made with the intention of revising said previous statement?

However, if that's the way you wish you do things that you're equally as guilty of making a false statement:

Not true in any way. It's coming. We can see this from promised features now coming to us.

Where's Zahara, the track was teased and then confirmed to release in February?

The previous statement was making a hugely similar point to the original post, which was what was originally quoted from. The word used does not discredit his newer post in any way, and that was never an intention of mine. You can accuse me of it if you wish, but I can only give you my honest word, and whether you believe me or not is down to you :)

That post is taken out of context and was not meant in that way.

The "not true" from the post you quoted was in response to somebody saying something along the lines of promised features haven't come and probably won't. That formed the basis of my argument for many pages, in that we have received content, and we actively are, and therefore if anybody were to say they have not received anything from PD it would not be true.

In specific reference to Zahara, it's anybody's guess. As I have stated several times in the thread, there is as good a chance of it coming as it not.

Basically to sum it all up, GT6 is falling behind.

As a simulator, it seems anyway, GT has always been(maybe one point or another), king. However as a game, an all-around game at that, it has never been.

I don't believe GT is falling behind in a sense that I really believe PD exists in it's own world and don't see any competition and don't seem to have an imagination of what their game really could be. That massive potential as the top tier racing video game ever made with almost limitless options and racing configurations. But PD doesn't make a video game, they make a simulator. They made a simulator they seem to be totally happy with and even without delivering their promised features they seem fine with it all. I don't sense a panic or a drive to keep their customers happy or anything. I'm not complaining, I've come to accept this for what it is from GT and PD.

GT can't fall behind because the only competition for GT is GT! (I'm just guessing that is what PD thinks :D )

Very true..on PS3. And if they are competing against their own previous successes, then GT6 is by every measure a dismal failure and the first real chink in the once invincible GT armor.

PS4 is a different story though and GT6 gives no one any confidence that they'll take GT7 to the next level. Heck the next level isn't even good enough that's where we should be now with GT6 and we're nowhere near that. PS4 brings a whole new level of competition to the market. DriveClub is targeted to the very casual user, PCars is targeted to the more hardcore market and who knows what else will come along in the next year or two.

Hmmm, there are already one or two ahead of them, and three or four in their rear-view mirror. Having said that, GT6 has not lived up to most of our expectations compared to previous GT titles. It was the biggest hype of the series...........................and now, the biggest flop of the series.

I don't know about you all, but I think GT is doing alright, it ain't the best thing around but GT6 has more than enough stuff to justify the 40 to 60 dollars for most.
As many say, it could be better, but I do have to say it's doing alright for itself.

I also wouldn't be so skeptical of GT7 and further being a return to the norm for the title. All series have high points and low points, and it's entirely possible that the PS3 hasn't worked well for PD, or in the way they wanted it to. The PS3 could just be GT's slump period.

Doing alright? Name one business in the history of the entire world that was happy and said it was "doing alright" with 1/3 of it's previous sales.
Bigger picture. It's less than 1/3 the sales of GT5 measured in the first 4.5 months. The GT Series has had nothing but high points in terms of sales until now. And PS3 isn't a slump. GT5 sold 11 Million copies and continued to sell well even in 2013. The slump is confined to GT6 only. GT6 is an unqualified sales disaster.

GT6 is just one of the GT games for PS3. It's possible that this period as a whole, but then more specifically GT6, is a slight dip in the series that it will pull out of.

Terro, I'm not usually one to go all lawyerly, but a whole posse of grinches do it to me routinely, and I think this point really needs to be cleared up, because it's niot quite how you state it.

In our newsfeed section, dealing with the revelations from Jordan's roundtable back in January, he posted this. And I'm sorry, but this is the best I can do because that video is being a little hard to dig up.
Although the Sony and Polyphony Digital representatives on-hand at the event kept most of the details about the location (Zahara) secret, they did confirm we’ll be learning more about it in an update coming to the game this February.
Now this is a scouche different from a confirmed release, which I Googled for a few different ways, and found zero confirmations. So let's be honest. A whole major city's worth of us were hoping that Zahara was going to be released, but the ambitious scope of it had most of us crossing our fingers than jumping on hype railcars.

So losing 2/3 of your sales, potentially $200 Million + at this point, is a slight dip? In what universe? You just can't bring yourself to admit anything negative about the franchise even when it's spelled out in black and white and right in front of you.

On top of that, the price of GT6 is already deeply discounted, unlike GT5 which remained high at this point in the game. So even the revenue from the same number of units for GT6 is not close to GT5's first 2 million which were definitely at full price because they sold 2 million on pre-orders.

Maybe you're right because GT has served as a showcase for what a system can do. Since it did so already sales for this iteration have tanked. Sadly enough they fixed what was wrong with GT5. They should have a head start for PS4 seeing as Kaz future proofed the car models and tracks.

They'll still find a way to shortchange everyone again. Might not even let us pick the tires we drive with in GT7.

I refuse to let this dip into another personal war, so i'll just say it's a dip. We both agree there's a dip, and all i'm saying is the future may not be all as bad as some make it out to be.

I'm in a unique position here. I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to state what was supposed to happen, but all I can say it was confirmed and then something apparently went terribly wrong.

Jordan also said this:

Based around the town of Zahara de la Sierra in Andalusia, Spain, the new track will be the longest in GT6 - longer than even the Nurburgring Nordschleife’s 26km of tarmac. As previously announced, it will be released in February,

Zahara is just an odd story, and nobody knows the real info about it. All we can do is speculate at the minute.

The most we can say is it might come, or it might not.

What personal war? You have blinders on that's obvious. The sales drop of GT6 is not a dip, it's a disaster. You just can't look at anything objectively and see it for what is, your judgment is clouded by your adoration for the series.

This personal war. You saying all this that's unrelated to the topic, and it's doing nothing to the discussion. A disaster is a type of dip BTW.

Also, if you read all my posts in this thread, you'll see that I have been critical of GT6. It's just instead of going on the biggest doom and gloom rage/rant that many have, i've just quietly voiced them in the discussion.

If you really need proof, GT6 issues for me:

Online still needs work.

The AI lacks all intelligence, it's just artificial plodding along in a car.

A lot of sounds are fairly atrocious.

The DLC schedule is fairly inconsistent, and PD do desperately need to be communicating with us.

Game lacks structure.

All races are far too easy.

Hmmm, unrelated. Let's see. OP is about GT6 falling behind. OP says GT has "reached it's peak". So talking about the massive dip in sales is unrelated to GT6 falling behind and having reached it's peak. Some stellar logic there. 👍👍
