i thought need for speed had the ferrari liscense(sp)
EA has the Ferrari license... however as discussed tons on this board, it is to expire in November. Ferrari representatives have expressed their desire to be in the GT series and we saw Ferrari's in the making of video released with the PAL version of prologue. Do a search on Ferrari and read through some of the threads... you'll get some good ideas as to if they are or aren't going to show up in GT. :)

Thats the Hong Kong Track.
Those are the yellow buses parked behind the barrier.

WHAT ARE THEY THAN??? PLEASE TELL ME!

The Cars are bought from porsche and licensed to be modified and then sold under the name RUF.....

 you're a idiot. Do some research, kid. The cars that look like porsches are not porsches. They are a RUF.

I think I should get Famine in here about this topic again..

but a quick search for "ruf" would bring some threads explaining why ruf is a manufacturer and not simply just a tuner.

...ach ferraries...the (one of the few) things which would make Gran Turismo perfect...
...just think about the F40, the F50, the F50 GT1(!!!),the ENZO(!!!!!!!!) and all the other hot burning cars from italy!!!....ahhhh it would be soooooooooooooooooooooo nice but.....ach doesn´t matter keep dreaming on because it´s naturel for human beings to believe in their wishes and dreams!! :)

My ultimate GT4 visual feast at the moment would be a full lap reply of an F40 around the 'Ring'......Droool.

But imagine actually taking the F40 out on the Ring......... *suffers mild heart attack*

...You know, if you look at a low quality image, see a few black and yellow blobs on the edge of screen and think Ferrari logo, you might be an addict...

legal problems eh?

lets keep up the petition to attract the attention of gt-playing lawyers!! 💡

seriously i cant think of a good reason why ferrari isnt in the game now.

i suppose its main rivals in selling road cars, namely porsche (or lambo), havent turned up yet. i mean there isnt many games ferraris have been in without porsche and/or lambo being present too (excl.f355 challenge).

the competitive desire to be in gt isnt there. rufs and an asia-only diablo hardly justify official ferraris to be in the game.

if ky gets one license i think it may have a chain effect on the others. i cant imagine fords in gt4 without chevies or what have you from GM.

its about time we do something about this situation instead of talking about it. ;)

think of the effect of ferraris, porsches and lamborghinis for gt sales and therefore online playability. its a win-win situation so lets hear your support!!!!

Go get a life and stop wasting everyone's time with this petition BS!!!!

The more cars I get to thrash around in GT4 then all the better, so if Ferrari make it into the mix then that’s all well and good. But on the side of wanting them in GT4 then dam straight!!! Imagine a red 355 cruising round the deep forest track, imagine the whole lot of replay goodness :) :)

How do you know? What would be a perfect place for Sony or PD to find out what GT fans think of Prologue and other GT related things. Look right here.

I strongly doubt they would take their time to go on the internet and look at forums. You know how many GT forums there are? Millions. That would stall the game big time. And they are japanese. So I doubt they would understand the english langauge.

Like Darin said, even if they did look at Forums, why look at the english one? There's got to be a Japanese GTPlanet somewhere out there..

Dont forget GTPlanet is a Big GT forum, is there any bigger?? Also I would think PD and Sony would want a world view not just Japanese.

Wouldn't you think that they would look at the PS Forum instead? Im not trying to bash GTP but I find it highly unlikely that PD would even consider this idea...

Searched gran turismo forums and got the PS forum..GTP wasn't far behind though!

GTP is not that well known yet.

Too me, I think they would look at the official Playstation forum instead. Cause they would have to search to find this site.

Well its just a though, Because I know if I was a PD programmer/worker I would be looking around the net seeing whats happening and whats been leaked.

Okay, what if you didn't know about this place. the SONY PLAYSTATION forums would be the place you would look at.

Ya'll need to give it up. Ferrari will not be in GT4, EA owns the license, just give it up.

I beg to differ.. I know its been said before but, KY always pulls something out of his a$$ without telling us.. And with the EA contract.. It just seems to be destiny! :dopey:

I like him.

Games employ companies to conduct surveys, focus groups and other such things to find out what their target market is interested in seeing for a new release. They employ scouts, via Sony I would imagine, all over the world to report on regional and cultural preferences. Now if you were being paid to find info and opinions, would you waste your time and other people's time organising surveys, printing and distributing them, or convincing people to attend group discussion (which generally have to feature some sort of incentive to get anyone to show), not to mention the money that goes into these things, or would you log on to the net and find a few good forums? Sites do get trawled, may not be that often, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a list of URLs to check somewhere in a Sony office and gtplanet.net is on it.

So if you were a game dev you would go online and have alook around at the community?
