I have the G25, and what I find so amazing is that people fail to experiment with the settings. I found out that you can map the G25 settings using the settings for the Logitech Driving Force Pro. I found that out when Prologue came out. I have my G25 fully mapped the way that I like it, and it works for me. I know that I would be nice to see our wheel in the settings display, but if you know your wheel's layout, once you map it, you won't need to struggle trying to figure out where your horn, lights, wipers or reverse is located.

I have a G25 too, bought it long before I bought a PS3. The problem is with the G27 you cannot map a lot of the controls at all like you can on the G25.. and the 6 buttons on the actual wheel act like 2 buttons.

It's as if Kaz/PD are actively crippling the G27.

I can only speak for the G27... it gets no such good luck.

I can say I have not looked through the entire thread (so may posts), but the last I heard was PD won't do native support for the G27 (perhaps 25 as well) due to something in the firmware making them have a slight advantage. At least that was their reason. I believe it is due to the half-arsed wheel they released as the 'official' wheel for GT5, which after using it is a POS compared to the G27 (no clutch, no paddles).

So we should all be saying "Come on Logitech, fix the firmware in the G25/7 and allow PD to use it".

No sequential..

If ytou want sequential as well as paddles/h-shift, get yourself a G25 :) G25 has the switch to change your H shifter to a Seq as well as having paddles. Me, personally, don't care for sequential shift.

Yeah I know I have a G25, two actually. Sequential is useful as a handbreak when using paddle shifters when recreating rally car driving.

I will buy a G25/G27 as soon as there is full support

I'm not even tempted by the licensed wheels so sort it out PD and Logitech 👍

Get a G25 if you can. It is fully supported, I promise.

Only thing that bothers me is buying secondhand, it could be knackered or not far from being knackered, Do logitech repair them for a price? or do they suggest you buy a G27 :nervous:

So we should all be saying "Come on Logitech, fix the firmware in the G25/7 and allow PD to use it".

Or maybe we should be saying "PD stop being idiots and make your game work with one of the best wheels out there that works with every other game on PS3 and PC just fine."

Does changing FFB strength in the menus affect the G25 feedback strength?

What about the "holding triangle to make the H shifter work" thing ?

That is not fully supported if I'm even remotely right.

Fanatec wheels are good, no stupid button to hold before the race starts and it has "on wheel" settings. Changeable rotation is a win.

Yes immensely.

That was in GT5p, not in GT5. In GT5 the G25 just works.

I wouldn't want the next gt6 to drop support for my thrustmaster T500RS. It would suck if I couldn't remap my buttons!

Oh geez why are you giving advice like that? Do you realise when G25's were stopped being sold in store's ? A long time ago pal, any G25 you get these day's has been well and truly "pre-loved" , it's like asking would you like a 75 year old ex-pornstar or a 20 year old virgin ? sigh.
I'm glad you actually gave him some useful reason's as to why to get a G25 ? Why do people bother posting such useless information -
" Get a G25 " - uh well that's great dude, how about why i should ? " Well it's fully supported" uhhh cheer's i think?

Get a G27 mate,

1) You have the option of secondhand or New although the price's seem to be relatively similar.
2) It will be under warranty should anything happen.
3) Shifter: G27 features stiffer centering spring and more positive gear engagement feeling, improving the overall feel of the shifter.
although with G25 you get sequential shifting but 27 has paddles for that.
4) The biggest one, Helical gears. G27 is a lot quieter (almost silent), doesn't get as hot during long sessions and the feedback is personal taste but it's not as "raw" as the G25, the G27 has a polished, smooth feeling to the FFB compared to the 25.
5) A bit gimmicky but fun at night, it has Rev Counter LED's built into the wheel.
6) G27 more 'on wheel' programmable buttons. Great for future proofing and other games. G25 has 2, G27 has 6.
7) Pedals: G27 features taller standoffs for clutch and brake pedals, as well as horizontal adjustability, making customizability and heel-toe downshifting easier.

Get a G27, there is no debate when your informed.

GTWelsh - What about the "holding triangle to make the H shifter work" thing ?

Good thing your not remotely right :) -I say that in a nice tone. H-Shifter works fine for 25/27.

Do you have emotional problems? Seriously, you sound like you are about the have a breakdown. Maybe you should get some help because I wouldn't want you to have an aneurysm over a question on a video game forum.

I will buy a G25/G27 as soon as there is full support

THEN I ANSWERD:

BWX
Get a G25 if you can. It is fully supported, I promise.

Then you come in here with your troll bait post.. Posting things that aren't even true about the G27 (6 programmable buttons on steering wheel in GT5) WTH? This is in regards to GT5, not other games.

He said he he would get a G25/G27 when there is full support. The G25 IS FULLY SUPPORTED. Everything works, unlike the G27. I don't care how he gets one, that's up to him. He obviously is talking about GT5.

6) G27 more 'on wheel' programmable buttons. Great for future proofing and other games. G25 has 2, G27 has 6.
The 6 buttons on a G27 cannot be mapped in GT5- Only as 2 buttons. G27 is blocked from certain mappings in GT5, the G25 is not. Which is better for GT5? Duh! Winning!

Do your homework so you don't sound so foolish. All the other points about the G27 are moot if he won't buy one if it isn't "fully supported" in GT5.

I'd rather have a G25 for GT5 than a G27, and I have 2 G25s in fact. Since you're such an expert, what wheel did you say you have, a G25, a G27? Can't be a G27 because you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to that wheel and if it's "fully supported" in GT5 or not.

Here's another thing the G25 can do in GT5 that a G27 cannot do.. (Quoted below)
I wrote this in this thread! Did you even read this thread sk0pe, or do you just like to do drive-by troll posts?

I'd take a G25 over a G27 for GT5 any day.

I have already sign for the petition but I would like to propose a more bigger petition on the hope that all game software house, that create racing game, implement as standard comaptibility with major hardware producer that create professional wheel for rancing game and in the other end also harware company should create standard sdk to be implement on racing game.

Make it happen. Just got a G27 yesterday. Even my old MOMO Racing Force had better compatibility, at least I was able to map all buttons...

OK guys, I've had an idea.
I may start compiling all these names into a list.

I can then post this list in a different thread as I believe that it's a VERY long list.
Lets try to get it as long as possible, send a link to any of your buddies.
Sign for people that don't have GTPlanet accounts that you know would sign this.

As this list gets longer and longer, I'll edit it into the OP of the thread that I have the list in.

I say that no more than once a day, we all send am e mail with all these names to PD, Logitech, and/or Sony.
We can decide on which e mail address to send it when the list is all ready.

I'm the meantime, conitinue to sign and get signers!
