Oh geez why are you giving advice like that? Do you realise when G25's were stopped being sold in store's ? A long time ago pal, any G25 you get these day's has been well and truly "pre-loved" ,
it's like asking would you like a 75 year old ex-pornstar or a 20 year old virgin ? sigh.
I'm glad you actually gave him some useful reason's as to why to get a G25 ? Why do people bother posting such useless information -
" Get a G25 " - uh well that's great dude, how about why i should ? " Well it's fully supported" uhhh cheer's i think?
Get a G27 mate,
1) You have the
option of secondhand or New although the price's seem to be relatively similar.
2) It will be under warranty should anything happen.
3) Shifter: G27 features stiffer centering spring and more positive gear engagement feeling, improving the overall feel of the shifter.
although with G25 you get sequential shifting but 27 has paddles for that.
4) The biggest one, Helical gears. G27 is a lot quieter (almost silent), doesn't get as hot during long sessions and the feedback is personal taste but it's not as "raw" as the G25, the G27 has a polished, smooth feeling to the FFB compared to the 25.
5) A bit gimmicky but fun at night, it has Rev Counter LED's built into the wheel.
6) G27 more 'on wheel' programmable buttons. Great for future proofing and other games. G25 has 2, G27 has 6.
7) Pedals: G27 features taller standoffs for clutch and brake pedals, as well as horizontal adjustability, making customizability and heel-toe downshifting easier.
Get a G27, there is no debate when your informed.
Good thing your not remotely right

-I say that in a nice tone. H-Shifter works fine for 25/27.
