Hei,

This is the answer I found from the Logitech support forums:

On the photo you see Kaz working with GT5.
Under his workbench there is a G27 wheel in a box. Logitech says that chanses are good that PD is working on this.
As G27 is compatible with other games I suspect the "ball" is in PD's hands to make this wheel fully supported.

Keep woting for this in our feedback forum so PD can get this issue high up on their priority list.

So it has been 6 months and PD are still sporting the tone of "Logitech refuses to patch their firmware in G Series wheels". Just like PD to push the blame to someone else. This picture only goes to show they AREN'T working on getting the G-Series supported because it is in the BOX and not Being used.

I have a G25 and I was amazed that PD leaved that quality wheel without full support

Just got my G27 today and I love it but would be great if we could map the steering wheel buttons.

Does somebody have a problem with the G27? Mine decalibrate everytime I take corners in an aggressive way.

I think everyone in this thread should check this video out. I found it while browsing around the Logitech forums and it pretty much shows that PD don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the G25/27 programing.

I think the real reason for the G27/25 being fully supported is the extra Buttons that would give people extra commands without having to jury ridge the controller to the wheel.

I've given up on waiting, so made my own mod. Now have handbrake and reverse on the middle buttons. Pulled apart the whole wheel/gear assembly and ran 2 wires through the wheel to the gear assembly and soldered using chillicokes instructions. For the buttons on the wheel I buzzed out with a multimeter and found out I only need to run the 2 signal wires for handbrake/reverse, the ground wire is already connected to both. It's a variation of the ebrake mod, but just wiring back into the wheel rather than externally to a handbrake.

Works well now, can use handbrake and reverse from the wheel. Still need a controller to do the RA functions but I only set that at the beginning anyway.

For those interested the colors of the wheel buttons on each side is:

Red - Ground (This connects to the ground on the Gear Assembly buttons)
Brown - Top button
White - Middle button
Blue - Bottom button

Might have the Brown & Blue backwards :) , can't remember but white was definitely the middle button. 👍

This absolutely should not have been necessary :(

I just velco'd a old non vibration ps3 controller to the center of my g27 steering wheel. Have all functions at my fingertips.

No soldering required.

Come on, it can't be that difficult. And if they think that every single G25/G27/Fanatec user is going to get their hands on a DFGT or a Thrustmaster official wheel, only because of the full support, I think they are waaaay wrong.

finally someone who realized that PD and Kaz won't help us.
