Signed, but unfortunately, I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears because Sony could care less (that expression never made since to me. Shouldn't it be care more?).

Was Jordan refused a copy because there were no review copies sent out, or was it a case of Sony being stupid?

As far as I know, no review copies are being sent out, but I would think they would just put him on a list and then send it out once they were ready. If they said he was refused, then they have no intention of putting him on a list to get the game. Thats not to say that other gaming journalists won't get it before GT5 comes out. They probably will.

I have sent Jordan a private message. Actualy it isn't confirmed that he wont get one. But some people here says that he did ask, and got a negative answer. I will tell you on the first side of this thread once he tells me what the deal is.
 
Shame on you Soony!! GTP Staff is the first place where a review copy of GT5 should go !!!

I think the point though was that he gets the game early. I'm sure he has it pre-ordered.

Isn't it obvious? After all he's done for Sony in terms of free publicity as well as lots good things. They should have been the ones coming to Jordan to offer it.

Sadly I doubt Sony will do anything about it and they'll refuse again just like they are not saying anything about GT5 which is already in the wild.

If I remember correctly, he had asked before the November 2nd delay was announced, so that could have been a factor for not sending out the review discs.

That being said, Jason Bradbury seems to have a copy (although not confirmed) and he is currently under a review embargo. Maybe Jordan has one as well. :sly:

This is a good bit of information to know. And yeah I agree with you about the review embargo. Anyone who does have a copy of it for review is not going to be allowed to talk about it. They may not even be allowed to mention they have a copy of the game too.

I will sign this petition! Sony/PD should recognize that Mr. Jordan is a big fan and supporter of GT series by providing him with review copies of the games and game info!

If he has one already, he just needs to tell me that he will get one later. Just so we know.
 
I support this petition! Jordan's done way too much for the fanbase of Gran Turismo to not be able to get a review copy. He deserves it!

Although I agree that Jordan should have a review copy (if there are any!), I also think that the way people are seeing this - if he (Jordan) was refused to have such review copy he shouldn't attend Sony's request (or demand) of taking out the videos from the news page - isn't the brightest.

If I understand correctly, Jordan started GTPlanet on his own, moved by his affection towards the series. There is no link (legal) or obligation between Sony and him because of it. Even if (and think it should) Sony should have some sort of recognition for his efforts during all these years of dedication and send him a copy, it's Sony's choice to do so or not.

The videos on the news page are collected from game copies that were accessed by means which aren't very clear but are likely to be anything but legal, considering the game is not released yet. So, therefore, what it was posted on the news page, refelcting what someone has uploaded on the internet is simply broadcasting unauthorised material protected by copywrights which are held by Sony. So Sony has every legal and moral right to demand they are taken out of there. Jordan, as a conscious person he seems to be, simply has respected that request from the legal owners of the copywright of those footages.

I do sympathize with the reasoning behind this thread and I feel regretable that Sony don't have the recognition towards Jordan for all his dedication to send him a review copy, but it is their right to choose to do it or not. To mix that with an hypotetical refusal from Jordan on respecting Sony's legal rights its void of legal purpose and justification, in my opinion.

With all the effort that Jordan puts in this site,
and with all the respect Jordan has had for Sony...
Always listening to Sony's requests,
I think it's time Sony does something back for him.
