Signed. Jordan is the man.

Sony don't give a ****.

i signed it also....it's only right!

Just thought to say my opinion. Reviews are not necessary anymore before the launch, I, personally, know enough about the game alredy.

Nevertheless, reviews are important from Sony's perspective otherwise they wouldn't distribute review copies. For them to reject Jordan's request for reviewing the game, would be an insult to not only Jordan, but also to the community that frequents GTPlanet for information on the game. We shouldn't have to read it on a site that wouldn't address our queries/concerns as well as GTPlanet would.

I agree, mostly because it would be recognition and validation of the work that goes into the site.. however, I think some people are thinking that it would mean we get all the beans spilt directly via the site, however.. with an official review copy, Jordan would be under the same embargo as all the other reviewers, and would probably end up gettin' hacked off with 144,000 people pm'ing him asking him all kinds of silly questions!!!

I leaning towards Jordan having a copy and fearing for his inbox. :)

It's not entirely because of the review/preview he could do itself. It's the thing, he should get one because he deserves it from Sony. Like I said, it's the least they could do after all the hype he has build up.

👍

Sing me up

Done. Signed.

Doubt it will do much but I have signed.

I have got it confirmed that Jordan's request for a review/preview copy was denied. I find it very sad and to me Sony is out on deep water treating GTplanets founder like that. Please, sign the petition!

Come on Sony ! ! !Jordan has worked his butt off running this site that is the biggest GTFan site, for your game, the crown jewl of this gen on ps3 and this is how you repay him. *signed*

Signed Raagentreg

Definitely worth a shot

I dont support this because his reveals will be like the front page where he censored every thing claims its because of SCEA. I say its fine in the hands of randoms so we actually see new stuff. and by the time review embargo is lifted there would be tons of better reviews like gamespot ign ect.....

Yes he should but they'll need to give out a release date 'cause Jordan is saying.... This is a great game blah blah and it comes out..... only god knows

But then Jordon would be 'removed' at the request of Sony Computer Entertainment America :sly::)

so do we have a proper petition for this, or are we merely making a thread of people agreeing?

i agree btw
I actually disagree that he should automatically be sent a free copy, not because I'm jealous or don't like the guy - heck, I don't know him at all. What I do know is, this is a website that posts anything and everything to do with GT5 purely for the sake of the fans, and not for the interests of PD/SONY. There is a big difference between a site existing to promote a game, and a site existing to provide somewhere for like-minded people to go and find both new information, AND misinformation, watch/read material that SONY do not necessarily approve of, share views etc.

At the end of the day, this site exists because of Gran Turismo, not the other way around, and I'd be just as excited for GT5 regardless of GTP being around or not. It just happens to be one of the better run fan sites out there, so is that reason enough to be given a copy of the game?

Go on, shoot me ;)

It would be cool if they sent one as a thank you for the support that this site has given them.

It wouldn't make sense for them to send Jordan a copy to review as obviously he would be inclined to give it full marks :p

i totally agree.
With anything Jordan does for this site .. -_-

Signed. He deserves it.

Sony doesn't even recognise what this site has done for this game, so why do you even bother to get everything censored ?

It's on the web, you just show it to everybody. It's not like you stole anything.

Done, son!

What has it done for the game, exactly? It's just a fan site, albeit the most popular. I'm not being awkward, I'd just like to know what aspect of the game GTPlanet influenced directly as a result of its existence.

SONY's Intellectual Property has been stolen, and as such they have every right to request its removal.

+1

In addition...

I don't feel 60 names will make any difference to Jordan's chances of getting a copy for review - especially and the petition needs to be submitted pretty much now in order to for it to be considered seeing as copies of the game are being distributed at the moment. But besides that, what happens when the petition closes. How does it get in to the hands of PD etc?

If not so Jordan do get a review copy, then to let Sony/PD see that many people thinks it's wrong that this site isn't considered serious enough to have a review copy. But you are right, there are to few signs so far... :(

Signed. Won't make a difference but worth a shot.

Thanks for all of your support everyone - yesterday was a rough day for me, and your kind words mean a lot. :O It is true that my request for a review copy of Gran Turismo 5 was denied by Sony Computer Entertainment America. I was offended, but, frankly, I wasn't that surprised, either.

Since then, I have decided I do not want a review copy. More specifically, I do not want GTPlanet to be bound by any legal agreements or embargoes, and I feel my current post-first-ask-questions-later freedom is far more valuable than anything Sony could ever provide me with. As such, I am not required to remove any content from the blog - I comply with their requests because I think it would be unwise to alienate the personable contacts I have made within the company. Over the long run, I believe I have much more to gain by maintaining a positive relationship with them. Leaving up a few videos on the blog - which you'll notice I have still permitted in the forums - are not worth jeopardizing that.

You'd have a point if it weren't for the fact that this site has actually respected Sony/PD's requests when it came to embargoes and removal of content whereas other non-fan sites haven't.

It would be cool if they sent one as a thank you for the support that this site has given them.

He wouldn't be doing himself any favours by inflating the score as the community will call him out on it, damaging his credibility.

We can't know for sure how GTP directly impacted the game, but Kaz has mentioned integrating fan feedback. If GTP is the most popular fan site, it should follow that he has taken some feedback from this site.

EDIT: Somewhat Tree'd.
