the blackish stuff on the side of the car; umm.. compare the original & the chop in 2 dif. windows.. its easiest to tell that way :scared:

Thanks guys, I do my own style and try to make it look as realistic as possible.

Suzq i like the 350z is great but i like the liscence (sp?) plate even better, i think im the only one that noticed it.
 
what about the Trike car? i figured i'd at least have a LAUGH at that one.

I don't understand whats going on with the windshield section of the car. Is that the windshield that is coming around the side through the A pillar? He topped that years ago....:sly:

a pillar? the rear window you mean? Yes it goes around the whoel thing like a windshield. tI jsut realized i forgot to do thewindows
i shalll repost the new one in 2 mniutes

Edit: Whoa what the heck? That stupid blob in the back which was a stroke effect..
 
oK i have fixed it..



No More Big tumour-like bump for a Window in the back, as well the rims are a refined..
 
These are the pillars that this car would have. First is called the A-Pillar that supports the windshield. B- would be the rear, if it was a lets say limo then b would be the first window after the windshield and the alphabet would continue so on and so on until no more supports. I was asking about how the windshield or as i look now looks like the hood? If its the hood then the perspective is off a bit because it looks to go through the A-Pillar kind of around the side of the car a bit.And im not bashing you or anything, just trying to make your work better:sly:

OH I get what your asking, Uh no the windshield doesn't estend onto the hood, if it did, i wouldn't do a side view drawing.That black thing is a Hood in which sticks higher than it does in the middle. Something I know about becasue the driver wouldn't be able to see then. haha. That's also Why i hate doing side views of cars, can't be able to show ALL of the 3dimensional designs you had first thought of..Besides that, you liek it though?

Yeah i like it as a toon type. Its good in that category. If you were going for a vector then no. But other than the hood gong around the side and well....fireflies on the rims its a good en. No rice please....lol.

well I AM chinese and at one point was into ricer cars.I'm not 20 yet, so Im still liking Import Tuners, so you can't do anything about that.:)
Whatever a vector is, I'm not trying to achieve a Cartoon car, I'm trying to get off that style. Are you guys only feeling its a cartton JSUT because it has a black outline? I was trying this style, since my other stuff never had 'em.
 
Don't get me wrong i like tuners, but there is a difference between rice and tuner. Rice has the fireflies on the fims, tuner just has the lightweight rims etc. The reason it looks toonish is because everything is toony looking. If you want a vector\non toon looking car then you will have to use gradients and highlighting shadowing. The gradients give it a more realistic look while still being a drawing type car. here
is a link to a image of a vectored car. See how it doesn't look toonish,but more like an drawing of the car...slightly realistic. I believe one major thing that makes yours looks like a toon is its over the top. Like your avatar. Its fine for that style of art but if your looking for non toon then things need to be more in [SIZE=-1]proportion[/SIZE].

Reason i call them that is because of the little muscle machine cars that they sell. They have the large stance and the oversized rims and the goofy hood scoops and all. Some of the actually look good, but most are just way over the top. I have a ton of them because my wifes little brother collected them and when you passed away (caner) her mom and dad gave all of them too me too keep.
 
ahh.. ok, understandable :) but they're still [imo] toon style renderings :)
