Hi, for what I ear from the review, you play against someone else over the internet and if you win, he'll offer his car, if you don't you give your car to him.

cheers

Lol so what they meant was you can make up your own honor system where you agree with the person to offer your car if you lose and vice versa? Pretty lame of the reviewers to say that.

Yeah thats what me and my friends do anyway. It would be cool to implement this system online for random opponents but I would never take a car I actually cared about and I assume no one else would either.

Shouldn't all the ricers be drooling over NFS: Hot Pursuit? I mean who wouldn't wanna show that Lambo cop car who's boss with their '92 Civic?

I laugh at all the "JDM only," "JDM drag" and "JDM pink slips" lobbies in the browser. Check it out some time. The only people who drag race in GT5 are the ricers. Well that and the kids with their free Veyrons on SS Route 7.

Fast and Furious. There isn't that much drag racing in Fast and Furious. Most of them are make shift tracks.

I like how you lot like to try and take the mick out of all the people who have a preference of how they like to race. So what if they enjoy racing Civics or JDM cars ... It is their preference and it is not for you to think you are being clever by taking the mick out of them.

Crap vid by the way ssyd

Racing for pink slips, lol. That's so rice. I hate Fast n Furious movie, it has ruined the car scene. Sorry, that's just my opinion.

again, it has nothing to do with the fast and furious?? how many times:ouch:

and can someone please clarify what a RICER is? I thought it was just another word for racer, and that is what we all do in this game.

Oh and i wasn't necessarily talking drag, I was thinking more circuit racing.

I love all cars, JDM, Muscle (not asmuch but i respect it) etc.. Dissing someones preferance of car type is pretty childish if they like driving it and can then more power to them! :)

"A Ricer is a stupid young idiot who thinks he is a car expert after watching The Fast and the Furious, Pimp My Ride, and playing Need For Speed Underground. As a result, ricers then try "SOUPING UP" or "PIMPING" their "RIDES" by placing modifications on their cars that fail to increase the performance and, if anything, make the car look terrible and go slower. It is also used to describe the completely overrated car. Variations of this term include rice car, rice cooker, rice mobile, rice rocket, rice burner, and the most common ****ing idiot ricer loser. " Uncyclopedia.com

But I like Civics (1.6litre that will do 200mph+ in a slip 180-90ish mph without is pretty incredible), and starlets(1.3Litre Not sure of its top speed but this car is very nippy and extremely FUN to drive) etc.. Obviously I can understand that putting a big rear wing on a car is not always neccesary, it does however improve the downforce in my CR-X SiR '90 when tuned correctly, thus making it go around corners more quickly, thus increasing my lap times.

Which was the whole point.

Would you rather them do this in a game or would you rather them do it in real life? Lets just reiterate the "in a game" part 👍

I'm sorry but i'm sick of seeing fast and furious getting mentioned. As it has been pointed out already pink slips have been around a long time before the need for speed series of games, and the fast and the furious movies.

Yup, try Grease (1980) for a still-modern-ish reference.

I believe it was referenced in a James Dean movie too... but that could be complete rubbish.

Racing for pinks is fine if you're doing it with a set of guys who you trust as long as they trust you too.

You'll never get a public pink-slip event (like one of Max Moseley's parties ha ha etc.) where everyone is happy or where everyone fulfils their obligations.

👍👍 Its a trust thing you are right, but at least with everyone been able to clone there cars now it would be no more then a trading slot lost. (Still people are pretty greedy) :indiff:

Have you ever wanted to bet your cars online? Like gambling? If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's what I mean: Have you ever wanted to put your cars on the line to win your opponent's cars? Here's how it works:

1: You choose your car to bet
2: You race to win
3: Win first place
4: Win all your opponent's cars

If you do not come in first place, you lose your car, if you quit during the race, you lose your car. If you are the last person to cross the finish line of each lap, you are automatically eliminated and lose you car. If you are to enter online pink slip races, I advise you to use cars that are not that valuable to you, because if you lose, you lose your car. I think this is a great idea! Anyone else agree? ;)

Haha that'd be sweet. I was expecting something like the show "Pinks" but this will be hard to get started because if you race a invaluable car, who will want to win it?
Also if I beat 10 guys I'm not sure I want 10 of the same/similar cars.

Now if you race LMPs, now we're talking.

Well, how about the rules? I can visualize a crazy race when we are close to the end. Drivers who will try to do anything to win. Will we have a penalty system? Stewards? Or is it just race, and what ever happens on the way to the finishline is legit?

I would not like to loose my car by getting rammed/pushed off in the last corner. :(

I've thought about this, and I like the idea. I have a good few cars in the 450-500PP range which I'd be happy to bet. Of course, it depends on the trust of the people who lose simply giving their car to the winner, and I like that. And also, yes, we'd need some impartial people to watch the replay and act as stewards.

So...would the losers be sharing or trading the cars? After 3/3, cars worth over 1 million couldnt leave your possession through trade? You may want to limit the initial value of the cars involved.
