DroveClub will not be free. DriveClub Plus Edition will be a stripped down version. I'm thinking GT5p vs GT5 until we get full details. I do get your point though, and it will be enough to get some enjoyment out of the system. A lot of us played that MotorStorm demo for months trying to beat each other's times, until the full game came out.

I know it won't be free but it would make sense to buy 1 years subscription to PS+ for £39.99 would be £10 cheaper than buying the game from Amazon and then forking out another £39.99 on PS+. If it has the same trophies as the full game I won't be bothered.

What games do you plan on getting guys? I will be buying Battlefield 4 and Killzone Shadow Fall and will receive #DriveClub and Rezogun with PlayStation Plus. Watch_dogs and Call of Duty Ghosts will be Christmas additions.

So far I've ordered COD: Ghosts and NFS: Rivals. Driveclub will be added when I get PS+. My PS4 is a combined Xmas and 21st birthday present so I probably won't get to play it until Xmas anyway.

Gosh how the world has changed, in the old days the west would wait like a year for stuff after it came out in Japan. I can see a lot of people over there importing.

Well there is no competition from Microsoft there so if Sony is short on stock for launch this is the market that's going to miss out. It's nice for us that we don't come last anymore but if I lived in Japan and wanted a PS4 I wouldn't be happy about it.
 
I have basic version of DriveClub and i don't have Koenigsegg Agera which is available in Extended version. And it's the most powerful car i Got is Mercedes SLS.

Not match for Agera. I'm going to do some races on line, is there by any chance that i meet guys using Agera against my lower SLS ?? :irked: :confused: How they want to distinguish basic version users from Extended one.

I imagine there'll be different performance tiers and there'll be a few cars in each one in the free version. So no, DriveClub will not be the failure you wish it will be.

Yeah Sony thinks they are all going to by it anyway regardless so they can wait a while. It does make sense doing it this way because to ramp up production for Japan is a massive task. In the past selling in Japan first led to major shortages for all other regions.

It's one day... It's not like Japan has to wait until the 10th of october for gta 5 or February for the ps4. Oh wait.

Yes, simultaneous releases would be good but it's not always possible. Just be thankful it's only one day. Years ago, it would have been six months to a year.
 
I don't see what the big deal is at all about a day two. I also don't see what it has to do with the PS4 though.

I'm more pissed off about the special GT bundle. The rest of the world is screwed again. GT5 had a killer blue PS3 only available in Japan. Japan had several multicolored PS3's. All the rest of us got was the black models, until recently. Yes, I know they aren't region locked. But there are issues with those, I think PM's are Japanese or something.
 
I don't know what you mean by PM's (maybe private messages?) but I can assure you that it isn't a problem. You can change the language on any system. The only difference will be X and O. AFAIK, X and O remain reversed no matter what language you select. I could be wrong, but I played a friend's Japanese PS3 and X and O were reversed.

I just hope there will be no surprises with my US PS4 when it gets here. As for the limited edition colours, yes, Japan usually gets limited edition colours of electronics and various other things. A bit unfair perhaps, but not really a big deal for me. Limited edition electronics generally have a premium price tag in Japan.

On the bright side, life must be pretty good in general if you are so "pissed off" about not having easy access to an alternatively coloured console.

Yeah, not exactly sure why that is such a big deal. Does the different colors have different functions or something? As long as it works ( an issue I had for four months straight), the last thing I care about is not having a pretty color palette.

GT6 has nothing to do with PS4, just buy game without PS3 in bundle.

As for PS4 well box looks slimy and great

Life would be boring if everything was the same color, in your particular country. Ford wouldn't get away with every car of theirs being beige. Corvette fans wouldn't be happy if the US was stuck with just black for the 2014 Stingray. Except the Vettes sold in the UK, there was a choice from 7 colors or so. How can the color not matter to you guys? Having choices and options is a good thing. And you guys are ripping me for wanting a variety? Yeah, ok.

If PS4 was available to me in black, white, red, silver, or blue, I'd either get white so it can be like a centerpiece in my audio tower. Like my super slim PS3. Or I'd get a blue one because its my favorite color.

As for the Japanese PS3 controllers, it's fairly easy to take apart a DS3 to switch the buttons around.

You do realize what Gravitron's post was referring to right?

He was stating that this was not a GT6 forum. Which the person you quoted saying "take a few seconds to look at this", wasn't talking about GT6.

You brought it up. You are still in the wrong.

Correct. My PS3 is Japanese, and the reversed X and O in system menus are the only differences once you change the system language.

Catches me out every time I go to someone else's house and use their PS3. ;)

P.S. You don't want to take apart the controller and switch buttons, because the buttons AREN'T reversed in games. You just learn it, it becomes second nature within a week.
