How much is that setting you back?
 
I'm too buying PS4 during launch days, but only i have like 55 days almost 54 days to decide which game should i play.

For my taste there is not that big of a choice for me. It's between Infamous and Watching Dogs. One day i see something cool about Watching Dogs so i want this game, but next day is something about Infamous and i want this game now. Hard do pick a game.
 
Well if you want to pick up a ps4 at launch, it's an easy choice. Infamous isn't coming out until next year.

Looks like the online shop in Denmark that I like to use, has had trouble with their suppliers. The Danish Company responsible for the import of the PS4 has chosen 3 Danish retailers to recieve it first, leaving the rest to find their own way of getting their hands on it before the Holidays. While the site I ordered it from, has secured a couple of units for launch, I think I'll have to wait until jan-feb before getting my hands on it, dispite having pre-ordered it the day after E3. But oh well. At least I'm still getting it for the excellent Price (3099 DKK, which is remarkebly close to the advertised 400 Euros), which was my main reason for pre-ordering it in the first place.

I've gone for the KZ bundle aswell, extra DS4 is always handy and I'm interested in the camera even tho I'm not expecting much.

Re DriveClub are you including the PSN version or are you buying it seperate?

It's strange as the free version is pretty much most of the game and you can buy the missing part via PSN aswell, dropping full price on it at launch is bit of a risk imo
 
Dropping full price on any 1st party game at launch seems a little risky. I mean, they have to offer something on psplus a month later and I doubt it will be a third party title that early in the game. My money's on Knack.
 
Is there a definitive list of what the PS4 can do apart from play games obviously.
Eg what file types will it play, media server, play tv replacement etc.

I've looked and the info seems to be scarce or to be speculation.
Either that or my searching skills have failed me again.
 
You could play only PS4 games (disc and psn) (no ps1. ps2, ps3 backward compatibility).

Although the structure of PS4 reminds PC it might be possible by hacking community to create emulators for older sony consoles and even other too.

You could watch Blue Ray movies and probably DVD too, but PS4 seems to not play CD music. (rumored, i can't remember where i read about this)

Watching pictures, obviously chatting with friends via skype using camera and microphone.

But be hones! You buying PS4 for only one thing only. :lol: And it's to be looking good under your TV :D

Interesting, not something I would use though.

Dvd's and Blu Rays doesn't bother me, I have a Blu Ray player for that. It doesn't mention CD's here so you could very well be correct on that front.
Not really surprising though I do use my PS3 to play the occasional SACD. Considering that was dropped from later PS3 models I cant see that feature returning to PS4.

By watching pictures do mean as a media server so you can watch stored files from your PC? This is an important function to me and I use my PS3 for this regularly.

But be hones! You buying PS4 for only one thing only. :lol: And it's to be looking good under your TV :D

The other main feature I would like it to retain from the PS3 is the ability to record free to air television (via play) this way I won't have to have both PS3 and 4 in my lounge room.
Would be kind of nice of Sony could actually tell us what it can do before I decide to order one.

Its the retail version I am going for, as its the only driving title at launch that interests me then I don't have an issue with doing so to get the full content in one go.

Seems likely, but there won't be many to begin with. I can see Killzone's single player mode coming to psplus in the future to entice people to buy the online mode.

Report/Rumor: Foxconn using forced student labor to build Sony’s PS4

If reports in the Chinese press are to be believed, Sony’s next-gen games console may be being assembled using some very outdated labor practices. According to Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily, thousands of students from an IT engineering program at the Xi’an Institute of Technology are being forced to work at Foxconn’s Yantai plant assembling the Sony Playstation 4. Students have been told if they refuse to participate, they lose six course credits, which effectively means they will not be able to graduate.

Officially, the program is considered an “internship” and it is publicly recognized and promoted by the school.

See the above link, it's not all the info but it's enough to not make me buy the disc version, most of the content and a discounted rate to get the remaining content.

That'll be the best tracks and best cars. Nobody is going to shell out the full £50 for a Fiat 500, but a Ferrari a Lamborghini and a couple of Porsches and the full version is looking more appealing.

Hmmmm. May well have to look at changing that order.

Watchdogs could be in its place.
 
It's going alittle off topic do this will be my last post!

There's no doubt the best cars will be excluded from the +version but knowing I like the game first before I shell out any cash is a bonus.

I'm quite happy to buy the missing content if I like it and at a reduced rate, if I don't no money is wasted and the cash goes towards Watch Dogs/AC4

Ohhh thats so awesome those Students want's to help build dream machine.

On other note, i think the sensible choice for game on PS4 is to pick something rather new and fresh than already known. Like next Battlefield? Or next Assassins's Creed? No no no, i want to see something new. New idea new game, new character. I'm not going to buy GTA5 on ps4 i've seen it already some many times. Or MGS5, give us some new adventure games. Like Las of Us like new refreshed Tomb Raider. Those kind of fames we want, well i want too be exact :) Watch Dogs meet these criteria

On ps3 I've played game that moved me. It is Journey. On ps4 I'm hoping to experience also similar feelings playing game called Rime
 
This is kind of scary for the ps4 Existing Headsets Won't Work With PS4 at Launch http://m.ign.com/articles/2013/10/10/existing-headsets-wont-work-with-ps4-at-launch So does this mean that USB headsets will fully work at launch? Or is there going to be no chat at all at launch? It scares me beyond just the headsets. This is just the type of thing they did with the ps3. All kinds of promises and then right before launch they start pulling features. Wonder what other announcements of launch features will be cut back.

After reading more it looks like the only headset with chat will be the earbud one bundled with the console. How does that thing pick up voice. It looks like it would be terrible at canceling out background noise.

According to that article you can use it for sound in game but you won't be able to use it for chat until they release a patch. I was worried about using my Astro's with the PS4 but it seems like it won't be a problem, I'll just have to wait a bit longer to use them to chat with my buddies.
