Cause some dweebs without jobs sitting at home all day playing GT5 get all butthurt at the notion that their Miura's and Enzo are no longer anything special.

I share a console with my son, I want to gift him cars whenever I play - which isn't everyday. If my other son was interested - it'd be a bit harder to keep them both happy. No I don't dup by the way.

Sorry to get off topic, but reading your post made me think of me and my dad, I'm 19, and we have been playing Gran Turismo together since GT1, but I don't share my PS3 with him, nor do II live with him. He doesn't even have a PS3. But It made me happy thinking of playing GT with him. Thank you for the nostalgia.

Some of you guys seems to be more stupid than Paris Hilton.

The whole forum is full of complains about improving this and improving that and one of the problems was cheating or doubing and trading of cars.

So for now PD used to solve some of the problems discussed here in the forum and this was one of them.

And at the same time, where the patch is release, some gimp starts a thread to ask for deleting this feature. If you are not able to accept changes or your main concern is to whine about new features, than keep it for yourself and don´t try to annoy the rest of the forum with such simple and unimportant topics. There are much more problems which need to be fixed than giving you the ability to give away half of your garage in one go.

Some of you seem so realise nothing at all. You can´t whine about a fixed problem in same way you asked for it before.

For a lot of us, duping was a porblem in relationhip with illegal trading at Ebay or people duping car to get advantage against other users. (think about online playing). Of course, not all share this opinion, but it seemed to be enough to get PD working at it.

PD and SONY can do whatever they like! Its theire game not yours! You just buyed a copy of it and signed theyre rules! Im sory this is the sad reality! and NO, i dont want to be able send more than 1 car, and limit can be set to 20,000 if PD like so!

PS. please kids! dont reply me! I know you are army in GTP forums! people seem to dupe you very fast! :D
 
Good thing i managed to trade for most race cars etc.. with this i wont trade at all, no point, cant even gift a highend car to my friend if i want..

So why did they include trading in the first place numbnuts?
Your argument is moot considering we had PP and the ability to restrict what vehicles could be used in online races.

And the ebay trading was of pre-order codes for stealth and chromeline cars.

In the end it comes down to you want to feel special about your precious X2010 but you cant because the notion that several thousand other people have one also suggests that they may be as good as or better than you.

Isn´t there a chance to trust, that people use a game in it wanted sense and don´t abuse parts of a game in first case?

There wasn´t a "trade" feature ever. It was a gift-feature to make gifts to your friend or someone else and nothing more.

They didnt include trading, it was just a nice little feature so you can gift cars to your friends. Until somebody worked a way around the system so in theory they could '"trade".
So actually you're wrong.

'Gifting', 'Trading', whatever you want to call it. It was a means for people to get cars without working for them. It was deliberately included so people could get that advantage. So actually you're a semantic pedant.

This defeats the purpose of having several accounts in the PS3. My son has an account and plays GT5, now he can't gift a car cause i already did. That does not seem right. I also have a non GTP account were my friends can play when they come over, same issue again.

They should not assume that every single GT5 player dupes.
 
I see it as a band-aid solution until PD have the time to test and implement a better system. I'm not going to get too worked up over it.

My god, it was included so people could gift there friends cars.
It was a nice feature for people who wanted to give there friend a nice suprise or a car they wanted.
That car you sent would be out of your possesion and into theres but because of duping you both can keep the car.

Whats the big deal with the 1 car transfer per PS3 rule?
It's not going to change anything. Also people trying to put life stories into it is pathetic.
Blame the people who abused the function and made PD actually act on it.

Me n my GF used to share a ps3 and it got really annoying for when i was trying to gift cars to friends for events, admittedly the loan function is extremely usefull as most of my trades were for the seasonal event cars to friends, but i have 10+ people on my friendlist with GT5 and she has 5-6 as well, we both want to collect cars and we both have friends looking out for specific cars to exchange, its really annoying to have to try manage between the exchanges and whereas we could exchange 2 cars each over a coupel of days, it now takes best part of a week.

Of course for us the issue has recently been resolved as she received a PS3 for her b'day so we can just swap the game disk out till she gets her own copy but for people like a buddy of mine who shares a PS3 and GT5 with his 2 brothers i can imagine its a big pain in the ass

It's a freaking video game, it's almost inherent that there SHOULD be cheats. From my recollection GT1 was like the first game in the world that didn't have a "code entry" menu for pete's sake. I laugh at the people who get/got so fired up because people were duping, saying it wasn't "fair". This isn't a "cheat", it's a product of being able to back up a save file. I do it all the time with NHL11 and other games I play, and you don't even need a USB stick for them because they let you have MULTIPLE save files under one username. Imagine the pandemonium if PD did that? And why arent all the NHL11 boards errupting in protest like this one has anyway? (answer below)

All the whining is really just a product of the people who get their rocks off too much from beating people in online video games. This wouldn't even be an issue if some of you armchair quarterbacks didn't take winning a VIDEO GAME so seriously and didn't let it affect your ego so much. Which points to the real problem here, too many idiots feeling too good about themselves accomplishing things that never leave the confines of the 40 or 80GB harddrive they happen on.

Here's a clue. Wanting to be the best or being the best at a video game will get you nothing in life. If you care that much, then you care way too much. Heck most of you anti-duper-whiners probably aren't even any better at driving your cars on real roads after playing this game, but you take driving on virtual ones this personally? Gimme a break and go find something better to do with your time and leave those of us who play games for entertainment to entertaining ourselves. Same to you PD, the games realistic enough and there are no "real" cheats. If we want to exploit a function of the PS3 let us do it like every other game developer, or else make these patches only affect asia since apparently they want to be more disciplined with their VIDEO GAMES than we do in the west...
