If you're worried people are getting better cars than you to race online because of duping, you're probably just not that good at the game. The limit is just a dumb fix to people duping and selling high-end cars on eBay.

Which in itself is ridiculous because the buyers have access to the same cars by simply asking nicely. Shame that somebody's profiteering has to result in a crackdown against the rest of us. The one-send per PS3/day is equally dumb. They might as well have said, "If you have cars on your PS3 that you want on your main account forever more, send the best 7 you have back because after that you're screwed!"

To all the people that think this is a good idea because of duping are idiots. What someone else does with thier own game that they bought with thier own money and play in thier own place is of no concern to you. It's simple, if you don't like duping, don't do it. You are simple if you allow what someone else does with the game to bother you.

I share my console with my brother which makes collecting all the cars near imposible. We don't have a lot of money and can't affort two consoles so sharing one is hard enough. Sharing it every second day to trade is going to be even hard. We won't be able to collect all the cars until GT9 comes out on the PS5.

It should be removed... it shouldn't have been implemented. What blows is the fact that this could be a split decision and PD won't change it. Thanks to the morons that vote without considering all sides and or let what other people do bother them. Good job knobs.

PD definitely needs to drop the 1 car per PS3 limit - completely unfair to families with 1 PS3 and multiple accounts. People sharing a PS3 don't get to trade ever because the other people using the same PS3 with a different account use the trade for the day. BS

Not at all. I can buy 20 cars with 20 million credits in 1 day that are worth 1 million but i can only buy 1, 20 million credit car before i have to build all those credits back up to 20 million again to buy a second one. There are a few of them that are 10 million or more. The time taken to redo races to be able to afford them all would be astronomical. Now add all the cars that are worth 1.1 million to 20 million into the equation. Good luck buying them all.
Unlimited trade was so much more easier and made the game more enjoyable. Puting a cap on trade value is a bad thing.

For a lot of us, duping was a porblem in relationhip with illegal trading at Ebay or people duping car to get advantage against other users. (think about online playing).

They could just as easily bought the car.

There are many multiplayer families on PSN and the PS3 and what they have effectivley done is restricted the userbase of GT5 to one person per household.

Probably one of the single dumbest moves ever undertaken by a game developer/publisher in a long time.

If there was a problem with people 'selling" cars on eBay, prosecute them, but dont make their problem reduce the entertainment value of the entire franchise for others.

There are - or should I say WHERE 3 GT5 players in this household.

What is the point of the other 2 players playing if they cannot share the game with their own circle of online friends.

1 trade per day per PS3 really does nothing to improve the game at all.

And to make matter worse, the 2 retired GT5 players cant even easily give their cars away to the remaining player.

I think PD is just following Sony's footsteps, have a cool feature, then remove it or severely gimp it later in an "update".

The fact that the seasonal bonus races' prizes have gone down, prize money for A/B-spec races went back to release day levels, and now these car gifting restrictions, PD really wants you to grind for money. They could have at least raised the payout from A/B-spec events, but didn't. Heck, you can't even sell cars that are worth more than 500k new, why in the world is this limit there? And then not winning prize cars after doing a championship again?

Where are the manufacturer/one-make events? What happened to the missions? How about El Capitan (just to name one of several "missing" tracks)?

In summary, at least let us sell ALL cars, remove the 1mil car value gift restriction (I can live with the one gift/console/day...). But from the looks of it, the 1mil limit is here to stay. Hoping for the ability to sell all cars in 1.08, not holding my breath though.

There are 3 GT5 players in my household, And simply when I send a car to a friend that leaves the other players in my household unable to gift any cars at all , So once I use up a gift item ( swapping a car I earned for a car my friend Earned ) My fiance's brothers must wait for 24 hrs before they can trade their hard earned cars with their friends? Now that's harsh.

I understand that Part of the reason for this is unscrupulous people selling their duped X1 cars on ebay, Well that's easy to fix, Ban trading of the X1's and allow up to 5 cars to be gifted per day per account, Same for the paint chips, In fact, For Paint Chips, I think they should make it so that once you unlock *insert paint name here* you get unlimited uses out of it instead of saying to yourself "oh crap... I have a *insert paint name* and I daren't use it as I only have one "

I'm not considered a "Duper" as such But.. This would prevent people WANTING to dupe paints at least so they can paint their cars in whatever paint they want to without the worry of using up their only paint chip.

Hell, If they can restrict chromeline cars from being gifted and stealth cars, Then they should be able to ban the gifting of X1's quite easily.

But no, PD has chosen the awkward path and for the sake of a few insignificant turds, They have punished all of the Genuine players who Use the gifting system legitimately.

Bottom line -> remove the 1 car Per PS3 rule and increase it to a MAXIMUM of 5 per account, not by PS3 system, but By PSN ACCOUNT
