I think it would improve the game instead of that stupid UCD which I find weird cos its unreal to have LMPs and stuff like that in it:tup:

LOL ya, I mean in what used lot will you find a Veyron with 0 mileage. Or a used market with Zondas, Saleens, various concept cars, racing cars etc etc. But then it would make the UCD useless if the rare cars weren't there.

Take out UCD, Put in Dealership

I liked the way it was in GT4.

👍

Just make most of the standard cars available from the start in separate dealers, but keep some of the street cars in a cycle, along with a few rare cars, like the black LMPs in GT4 for example.

Aproximately 800 cars in 1 dealership that hold 32 random cars at a time, what was PD thinking . . .

I like it, but there are some annoying problems and real life factors.

-Limit Le Mans Prototypes in the UCD. It's not right at all.
-A real feeling of price on all factors. '70 Plymouth Superbirds are worth more than $30,000.
-Make some cars un-buyable. Why? Because no one can sell you a GT-R Concept. They can't. No one owns it. Make it a prize car.
-Stop with the repeats. A Lexus IS200 and a Toyota Altezza AS200 are the same car.

I like some of the ideas that the GT5 dealership put in (namely, the constantly rotating schedule), but overall I think GT4 did everything much better. But a Standard Car dealership? No. It is basically that already, and it annoys me to no end. In fact, I would go the opposite way, and integrate the older Premium models in with the Standards like they should have been in the first place.

I do think there are some easy things that could improve it, though. For starters, I would split it up similar to how it was in GT4, with three used dealerships: 1980s and Previous cars. 1990s cars. 2000s cars. 32 cars at any time in each list. That would greatly help out the problem with too little cars being available, but would leave the benefits of the "random" lot in.
There are also some pretty stupid problems with the car prices (the overwhelming majority of them are at least twice as expensive as they should be), mileage (the majority of the cars are far too light on mileage, which makes the need to do an engine rebuild on all of them even dumber), rarity (one-offs and famous race cars show up in the lot far too often), as well as the random element (which clearly has an extremely limited list to choose from, which results in the same cars cars painted in the same color combination popping up over and over again).

Here is a real used market with Veyons, Zondas, Saleens and most of the cars in the game.
http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/
The first Veyon number one of three hundred is for sale in California. It cost over two million dollars and has just over eight hundred miles on it. I like the hunt for those special cars in the game as it is. I have over 900 hundred different cars in the game and have done it with no trading or duping.

But do they also sell old beaters that the UCD is filled with? No. We need more dealerships specializing in different things.

But seriously they should have to dealerships, 1 for premiums and 1 for used cars!

Technitium

Standard or Premium makes no difference. They should all be in the same dealership, and there should be no tabs in my garage based on trivial polygon count.

For the GT5 Marketplace, this is a bad idea because there would be no reason to trade cars anymore as all the rare cars would be there.

I voted yes.. because it is pain in the ass to get some of the cars from UCD--Well for me anyways, still waiting on one of the Hyundai's to show up.

I like the USD because it allows you to get cars that other people might not have or can't get unless it comes up in the USD. I always like hoping into rooms with my unique cars.

Nah i like the UCD adds a bit of surprise to see whats in. Although it can be fustrating to have to keep looking for a car for days and then the day you dont look the car you want is there and you miss it.

The UCD is really annoying. I played the game since the FIRST day it came out and checked ALL the time (every 5 "days" or load times, EVERY DAY!!) for a damn C5R and Camaro LM Racecar. Then about 2 weeks ago i said hell with it, and put a thread up looking for Them. Then right when i got the C5R, guess what popped up in the damn UCD that night?! THE C5R!! Then a day later when i got the Camaro, guess what popped up in the UCD a day later?! The damn Camaro! But with my luck, if i wouldnt have made that thread and traded for them, I would still probably be looking for the damn cars. It seems thats just the way it works. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

The UCD in GT4 very quickly became useless because it never offered any high-end cars (except the black LM cars) and I'm glad it has more use this time around.
It's annoying that you have to rely on luck to find the car you want, but I think it works better. Certain cars like the Corvette C5-R have become very rare because of it, and this is great for online trading.

there should be no tabs in my garage based on trivial polygon count.
And +1 to this.

It can be a little frustrating. But i just think they should make two of them. 1 for exotics and 1 for normal road cars. That would be more true to real life, and it would make it easier to get what you want, but still have the element of surprise.
