Polyphony Digital Cup?!

If you don't already have an R390 or something equivelent, just buy a Jag XK220. Sure, you can't change the settings on it, but you should have no trouble whatsoever winning this race, no matter how bad you are! I mean that seriously... the Jag sh**s on the other cars... in fact, for most of the race I just sat behind the Nissan Z, pushing it into walls and making some of the other cars spin out :burnout: Lot's o fun! :p (NOTE: use super-slick tires!)

BTW, another note: You mention the Speed 12, and would like settings. HOWEVER, in order to change the settings for it, you would have to buy the Full-custom suspension and Racing Transmission, right? If you did, then that would violate your car (you aren't allowed to mod cars for the PD cup... you can only give it different tires and an oil change and car wash). So, you really can't do anything about the Speed 12 except to buy it some super-slicks and change the oil... give it a wash if you want it to look cool

I may get criticized for this one, but the Toyota Gt-One Road Car is perfect. Just slap some superslicks on it, and you are ready to win!

I think the R390 would be great also. The Nissan Z seems to be good, if there is another one in the race, then that makes for a nice challenge. Try the Corvette Z06.... Did anyone else that completed PD Cup have a Z06 in it??

If the Polyphony Digital Cup is the one u cant use F1 and/or modded cars, then I should recommend using the RUF that is in the forums.gplanet.net logo. That car as stock kicks ass.

Hey, if you have your Super License, now is good a time as any to do that series. It is time consuming, but the benefits are great. With the best (IMO) F1 car in the game, that will set you up nicely for the GT Championship. I am trying to avoid anything about messing up the whole game experience with an F1.

Oops, I guess I done that anyway, giving you the whole idea of F1's in the first place.... Oh well :banghead: LOL

I hate this cup because you can't tune your car up gggrrrr

But yea RUF is good i have speed 12....but fully tuned...DOH

Later...

You cant buy anything for it, so you cant change any of the settings

If you buy stuff for it, the car wont be able to compete in the poloyphony cup

Why didn't you just use T1 tires (superslick)?? I used those tires, and never once in 10 races did I pit. I did not pit once then entire series!! I like that statement.

And from what I seen, the Corvette Z06 tore up the competition in that series. My case though, the Z06 was running super-soft tires, causing him to pit every 2 laps.... what a shame.

You can change the rims too ;)

I only bought one set of rims. That was at the beginning of my long journey to 100%. I bought some gold mesh rims for my white Miata. They also look perfect on the Mazda 787B. I don't even bother buying rims anymore 😈

I like this series. At that point in the game, it's sort of a back to basics series or something.

Anyway, I used an NSX Type R. I guess you can use something like the R390 or GT-one road cars, but it probably won't be much of a challenge.

I've used two cars: a ZZ-S and a Viper. The ZZ-S made it very competitive (winning by tire wear alone) against cars like the RX-7 and Z Concept, which was nice. The Viper absolutely wasted everything. Understeer in the latter can be somewhat corrected by reducing the ACS/TCS settings.

Cars that you think you should worry about in those races, but really shouldn't are the Corvettes. I watched a Z06 steadily pit every two laps in one of my runs of the PD Cup... pitful. It gave me quite a scare those first two laps, though, when I was using a ZZ-S on super slicks.

I've decided now that it is almost always worth it to plan to pit once and use better tires. It is easy to shave off a few seconds each lap with the better tires because you don't have to wait for them to get warm and they handle better. Those accumulated seconds almost always exceed the amount of time a single pit stop will cost you. Give it a shot.

It changes the races into a easy cruise with that car :D

Especially it starts beautifully overstering when the tyre indicators go orange !! Keewwwwlllll

I used the Aston Vanquish with an oil change and Super Slicks. It was easy enough, but the Z Concept did give me a bit of a fright on a couple of occasions.

I also had a Z06 that pitted every 2 laps in my recent run at the PD Cup.

I used superslick tires, all 10 races, never pitted once!! :burnout::burnout::burnout:

i second the XJ220. that car is awesome for this cup. really great handling and power. i think as far as stock cars go, this one has to be the best,(out of the ones you can buy). I too used super slicks and didn't need to pit, and i had a Z06 and an SVT and an NSX running 2nd,3rd and, 4th behind me. The SVT passed the Z06 once or twice and the SVT and NSX were fighting for 3rd like madmen. the Z06 used superslicks and didn't pit once as well. he was all over the place for the first 2 laps, was hillarious to watch the replays :)

I just used the Toyota GT-ONE Road Car, and it became one of the easiest championships in the game.
