I finally finished the Nordschleife 24hr, so you can imagine my absolute excitement when I won a ... green and yellow F1 car. Of all the colours it had to be that one! :crazy:

I got those colors, I like them, mainly because they are the "Aussie colours"
 
I finally got a non-white/purple color on my 4th attempt (orange). I don't think it is based on the vehicle you drive, as I've used a different car every time (Minolta Toyota 88C-V, Impreza Super Touring, Formula GT, then Cusco Impreza JGTC) and the first three got the same color. I think I just had some bad random luck. :lol:
 
Hey thanks for telling us your colors 👍 Could you also post what version you are using? If you are in Greece I assume you are using the European version. What version does Austrailia use?

I'me trying to sort these colors and versions thing for the F1 prize in Nurburing. :)

I don't play that much arcade, so I would like to have some other colors besides the yellow and green (which are nice but not my favorite) 💡 in my garage. Even if I get 100% I get the black F1, but what about the other 6 or 7 colors? I wanna know how we can get them in our garage. I know that in Japan they get an F1 every time they win the F1 Championship in extreme but the rest of us only have the 24hr Nurburing race.

Try and post what you can with your version included. :cheers:
 
I finished the 24hr Nurburing endurance race yesterday with a different car. This time I got a blue and white F1 prize car 👍

So at least I know that the colors do change, it is probably programmed to give the green and yellow one 1st 💡 since most people get that one in the 24hr Nurburing.

I started another last night with the same car but I restarted the PS2 to see if I can get a different F1 again even thought the same car is used. I'm trying to get the red one for my brother since he likes Ferrari F1, and I'll go for the orange one unless I see something else I like. Imagine having 5 or 6 F1 cars in your garage :drool:

If anyone else does the 24hr Nurburing more than once, try and post your prize car. maybe there is a sequence (y-green > blue-white > ...etc)

Nope... No sequence. Got 14 in garage right now, they just are random.

Edit - Just got a black one from the race... not the 100% (i'm only at 88%(stupid ice races, i prefer to CONTROL my car))

Just done my first 24hr Nurburgring in the black Nissan RC92P Race Car.

Let's hope they are not completely random, if I get another yellow-green :scared: lol :)

One thing that has occured to me though (apologies if this has been covered in another thread)......

We all know that we can't tune the F1 cars or change the oil. My question is this: What happens if they degrade like all the other cars; power loss, loose body/chassis etc. If we can't remedy the ageing with a body refresher or oil change, we'll have to win another F1 car, right? Or wrong?

It's just been puzzling me!

GT4 probably only affects your hp as your car gets used up, so the awesome advantage the F1 car has on turns remains the same. 👍

And hp is not a big deal with the F1 unless you are going up against new F1s.

Even used, it'll beat the LeMans cars in almost any race (I guess not Super Speedway since the other cars topspeed can go 30-40 mph faster :scared: )

Gameshark or "hybrid" equivalent I'm assuming?

So to summarize 100% completion and Nurburgring 24Hr are the only ways to get Formula cars, right?

The black cars appear for a week between day 694-700, then reappear after cycles of 700 days, 2 in used car lot I and 2 in used car lot II. If you want to buy all four, you need about 7million credits or so.

and yes, 100% completion and Nurburgring 24hours are the only ways to get the F1 cars..

So you can just go out and buy them during that special week then? It's good to know so I can save up $$ when I get close to that point. I wish little tidbits like this were added to the Prize Car List... what do you all think?

My first F1 car was Orange.. and was really nice, but i noticed you couldn't change the oil so i was a bit worried about using it at first. 2000 miles later and still no oil light has come on and i havent lost even 1 bhp. I have since done the race again for a new one and was hoping for the red one but i got a real nice silvery-black one and it is awesome.

It is easy enough to search the forum, not to mention that these are not prize cars. In fact, the black car thread is still on the first page of the main GT forum if I am not mistaken.
 
I'd LOVE to trade save games with anyone who can provide me with a red, an orange, or yellow/black F1. I have all 8 other colors and most other prize cars in all colors!!! Pick your poison and let me know.

P.S. Also looking for RX-8 Concept type II in any color but yellow!
 
I've got 10 F1's in my garage one of each of the colours and a red one spare (for racing)
currently at 94.9% (just a couple of races left - the F1 & PD cup) untill I get the pure black one and complete the set

Had to run the ring 24 times to get all the colours :crazy: , but selling off all the spare cars later gives you loads of cash to spend 👍

1 Orange
2 Yellow Green
3 Silver Black
4 Silver Black

It is random. No need to change anything just keep doing it until you get all 10. I am currently doing New York to get the 29 colours of the Charger and when I get enough time I am redoing the Nurb. At New York I got 14 colours out of the first 16 runs. Now I am getting quite a few duplicates.

I have no duplicates at the moment. If I get some then sure.

I am in Australia with PAL version does that rule a trade in or out ?
 
I dunno. NA version. Swapping gamesaves doesn't require dups. It's kinda like saving the same game on two different cards.... you can then trade between them without messing up the original.

I happen to enjoy a good CART race or IRL race everynow and again, we're not ALL NASCAR fans, although there is just as much strategy and 'racing' as in the F1 series....

How do you get all these different colors? Every time that you do Nurburgring 24 hours you get a car with an different color?

the F1 colour prize car is random - I had to do the Ring endurance race 24 times to get all nine colours
