Back to the pointless arguement over the price of games. Not all games are $49.99. 80% of the 49.99 games are not good games. The best games on the system are in the $40 range. Not all DS games are $29.99. Making it an lop sided comparison. Not all psp game are ports and none are from Sony. Just games that are already multi platform and exist on many systems some including DS.

If your flavor is DS games there's nothing worng with it but at least have agreeable negatives about PSP.

PSP is a very capable media device, I have a 256mb stick and i use it for eveything it can do except internet. If you think you need a 1 gig stick thats your problem. I dont have a probem paying $40 for psp games. DS games and PsP games are not in the same league as far as packaging prodution and development cost. Thats why they cost more and the systems do not share many of the same types of games. These are my opionions of course.

I like the psp mostly because its portable. I rarely play it at home. I own 5 games and 3 movies and I'm very satisfied. Only way i'll buy a $50 PSP game is if is a godly peice of software.

Yep thats true... Especially since the umd can a lot more than the cartrige the DS is using... Which means that developers need to put more into it... Which might take much more time and effort...
Besides the cartrige is way cheaper to make than the UMD thats for sure...

About the 1 gig thing... I'm comparing to the Nov 2005... New PSPs seem to be shipping with the 1 gig stick anyways... So it wasn't much of a arguement in my part... And well... I need more than 1 gig for a multimedia device (my mp3 player fit in 3 gigs already)... I've considered a PSP but in the end I bought a mp3 player...

The price is considering my tight budget... I really can't afford that extra 10 or 20 bucks a month... After rent and living costs... I have just enough for 1 DS and one PS2 game a month... (Though that doesn't mean I buy em every month but it goes into other entertainment costs)

Well its all personal opinions and situations I guess... It is simply impossible to say one is better than the other... As I said above... I would rather have both if I can... They are both capable portable gaming devices... 👍

Ah man, 1 gig of mp3s on psp is a nightmare on its own. There are no set play lists or seperate folders. more than 100songs is not helpful. But if you have 1 or 2 CDs worth of music is fine. Watching videos with 1 gig is usful but not for music with the psp.

I dont judge the DS simply because I dont own one nor does its style of games apeal to me. I just dont need both since im not a die hard gamer, I do own many games , I just dont feel the need to own them all(xbox360)

I'm happy with my 32mb I would probably get a 256mb one aswell but you don't need a 1gig unless u wanna store loads of data such as music or videos. I'll probably just use the 256 for game saves and pictures. I don't need it for music cause I have an ipod nano

Yes, a 256mb stick is a great value. its only like $40 now and you can do a lot with it paying $40 for a 256mb MS is a bargin compared to a 64mb memory card. or $35 for two 8mb memory cards.
