Unexpectedly lost our black dog, Nacho a few weeks ago. Our female, Luna started getting depressed, which led us to start looking for a rescue a little sooner than we wanted for her. We’ve rescued a ton of dogs over the years, and we’ve always tried to have one black dog (because they get adopted out the least), and one pitbull because we love them, and they also get adopted out the least amount.

We found one that we thought would fit the bill, and Luna’s energy level, so we did a very slow introduction over the past week before we brought him to “her house”, to make sure they’ll mesh, as they were both rescued ex-fighting dogs.

Finally brought him home today, and we’re just following the 333 rescue dog rules, and allowing him and Luna to get used to each other. Poor guy was in a shelter for 2 years, and has never really slept in a house for any significant length of time. His name is Milo

First time posting in this thread, this is my cat Queen; Miss Yanyi

She’s my best friend, best emotional support therapy, and won’t leave my side ever. Not even for sleep. I have her since she was 1 month old, now she’s 14 months old.

Having said that, yes, she’s the boss and I’ve been trained properly by her 🤣🤣
 
Ooh, twinsies with my Chipsie! Although Chipsie doesn't have as much black on her body, but her tail is beyond magnificent!

I got her as an adult rescue in October 2014. She survived a flea infestation last June that had her so anemic she nearly died, had to have an emergency transfusion. They killed the fleas with a pill and I had to fumigate the house. My other cat had zero fleas, so I'm not sure how she could have so many that they actually drained her. They didn't just drain her, she scratched so much she was bleeding, too. She is fully recovered, and not a bug to be found since then.

We had to say goodbye to Carl today.
He was the first dog I’ve ever had.
He was an amazing dog. All he ever asked for was to hang out with his people.
Love ya and gonna miss you terribly everyday big fella.

Sorry for your loss. My oldest dog Layla died last week, she was almost nine. We got her when she was just one month old.
I put her down for a nap and she never woke up.
my girl and I are an emotional wreck right now.
 
I'm sending you both some love and strength.
I've been there too and I truly feel your pain and sadness.
There's nothing like losing your four legged companion.
