"Dad! Dad! Look he's doing a photoshoot! No dad seriously look! LOOK! HE'S DRIVING AWAY LOOK!"

I couldn't stop laughing, let alone keep the camera steady... To the little girl losing her mind

When I was taking this picture a car almost slammed on the brakes and did the most questionable and concerning reverse I've ever seen. I mean, I was prepared to do a Dukes of Hazzard dive into the car and drive away. Thankfully it was an old couple that was asking me if the car was for sale and if I was putting it up on Kijiji (Canada's Craigslist, but fancier :p)

I don't even have the confidence to take photos of my car parked at the side of an empty road. Someone far, far away, with incredible vision, might be watching me and judging me.

You gotta own it. ASSERT DOMINANCE! LOOK THEM IN THE EYES AND CRUSH THEM WITH YOUR WILL POWER ALONE

I set up my tripod at the back of the car to record the exhaust. Hit record, and revved it up. Got some cheers from two girls at a nearby bus stop; a jealous look from two guys admiring their 2004 STI, a scowl from an Asian woman during her walk, and a thumbs up from a guy walking his small dog (I stopped revving so I wouldn't scare the poor little thing).

^video came out like 🤬 because I didn't have a shotgun mic with me.

But yeah like I said own it. I was doing various photographer "poses". From sitting on the curb, to kneeling, to half laying on the asphalt, etc.

I suppose with something like an A8, it makes sense. A photoshoot with a 12 year old econobox with 59hp? A little more strange.

Well I'm a purist, but I have a shell if you're interested in making a project... :p

That sounds so ****in cool though

Haha I'll stick the the non rusty SW chassis :sly: I did however get a ride in a Blacktop swapped 6 speed AW11 two weeks ago. Very fun cars with a surprising amount of space in the cabin.

That is one of the coolest sounding AE92s I've ever heard. High reving 4A engines sound awesome but so does this angry turbo version. Both have their own unique sound so can't really be compared with each other.

Yea you're SW is a tad cleaner. :p They are a blast to drive, and for how small it is, it really is impressive how much interior room there is!

I've always loved how 4AGEs sound, nothing like hearing it scream at 7K.

ss3
Almost got one lol
Have a Lexus IS300 now

I recommend! Great car to drive, have been looking into getting another at some point..

Love the IS though! Learned to drive on one of those and absolutely loved it, fun car to drive.

Thanks waffles. I do my best to keep it that way.

You need a Blacktop that revs to 8k+!! VVT plus ITBs is brutal.

Of course, you're doing a good job! I'd love to see how yours drives with a 3SGE in it since our NA SW20s only got a 2.2 5SFE... The 3SGE must be quite a bit peppier and more fitting of such a car. Though to be fair, the 5SFE works pretty well in the MR2.

Ohhhh I like the sound of that, that sounds like dream track car if I ever heard one. :D

2 of my cars have ITBs get on my level

I'm actually pretty jealous

I know a kid who has a full ITB set up for a 4AGE but he's gonna put it on his AE86.. I want it so bad.

Ask @SVX what he thinks of the power. I dyno'd it with the old engine at 100whp but it has a pretty flat torque curve until 6k when power and torque take a huge dive. I suspect the new engine has a bit more power but not by much. It's fast enough to get you into trouble if you really wanted to. Normal road driving I change gears at 4k rpm but once you climb above that and keep it there it goes pretty well for what it is. Good throttle response vs some of the turbo cars I've driven.

I didn't have my car on this run but here are some photos of some of the cars in the club down my way. The fully white AW11 is the one with the black top and 6 speed from a ZZT Celica.

Peppy for sure. The power delivery is very similar to a 4AGE Lotus 7 replica I had a ride in. It's got the scream and lightweight that propels you forward, but without that gut kick you'd probably get in 3SGTE or powerful turbocharged car. It's more livable, really.

Made a new friend today.

I'd just parked up and was replying to a friend's text before I went into B&Q when a car pulled up next to me. I looked to my right and for a split second thought it was my own car, before realising I was in my own car. I looked up at the driver and laughed, and he did the same. As he got out he said, "I saw it and I had to!". I mentioned I hadn't seen another in the same colour before, and he said it was a rare colour too, saying he's only seen another one in town driven by an old woman. We both took photos of the cars and went on our merry ways. Ironically, he later helped me in the store completely by chance when I couldn't reach something.
