My girlfriend has a first gen XLS. Not a bad car! Just wish it was AWD. It also needs ball joints really badly. :scared:

Nice, just get those ball joints taken care of though.

Mine is XLT with AWD and V6 and I quite like it. As a daily driver it's not bad at all.

Washed the car at this detailing shop we used to go to. Never again.

They sprayed the cabin with mist! Got my MMI Controller soaking wet. It's a $3000 part!! Thankfully we caught it and dried it immediately with a microfiber towel and compressed air. They hit the driver side rear door against the wall and tried to claim it "touched" the trim of the wall not the wall itself. No damage thankfully.

They started abusing the relationship and overcharged. They tried to charge us $70 for Taylor.

TAYLOR.

WITH ONLY TWO SEATS AND A CABIN SO SMALL YOU NEED TO ENSURE YOU HAVE VENTILATION OTHERWISE A FART WILL CAUSE ASPHYXIATION

After that mess we went out to see if the track was open, that fell through. So we went to the lake nearby.

Even the fact that your parents let you buy and store more than one personal car has me jealous. lol

Well my dad owns about 10 cars himself, so he can't really argue, not to mention now we have plenty of space.

Plus he likes when I buy cars because he likes using them occasionally. Yesterday as I was headed out for a drive in the Celica I came down to find him looking under the hood and immediately asking to drive it. Also have already come home to find my MR2 gone with him arriving shortly after to say how he forgot how much he likes driving them. :P

Moral of the story is, if you want something doing right (especially something like detailing), do it yourself. ;)

The Old Girl is now another year older (34!) and looks to be keeping one step ahead of time ...for now. I am particularly happy that the MK1 Original Dashboard continues to defy time. Yes there are one or two cracks but I love them ..they add character. Besides, with the outside looking great, I really like the fact that the dashboard shows a couple of scars from the 34 year old war against time. Fight on GTV6 ...fight on. Me and my wallet will be right beside you every step of the way...

You call that compact? Pfft. Come back when you've got a car with a 1.2 pushing out 59hp and weighing in at an almighty 840kg. ;)

Ford Fiesta sedan, if I'm not mistaken.
Here in Murica, the land of big cars, big displacement and lifted brodozers, we may define compact a little differently.

Also, yes, that is a Fiesta sedan. It's adorable.

How about 660cc pushing out 30hp and weighing 500kg? That is a compact car.
We only get the Fiesta Hatch here. The sedan is just odd. Like the original Focus sedan!! Why would you do that?!! MY EYES!!

I wish we had smaller cars offered in the US. I think the smallest we got (before the Fortwo) was the Festiva or first gen Metro.

Below is a picture of the DataSystem Controller (Its Used For Adjusting The Factory Air Rides Height) - I've fitted it into the ashtray so when i'm not using it i can just close the lid on the ashtray and the controller is out of sight.

30279187691_a0da0a27e0_b.jpg

Using the above means i can get it sitting like this - I don't drive round with it this low for anyone wondering, i raise it back up to a normal height but lower it down for photo's or when at car shows.
