Watanabes :)

That black truck put a big dent in my rear passenger door. At least a foot tall and a few scratches. No way they didn't notice they freaking nailed it.

I bet you they did it on purpose.

I had a guy in an Audi A4 estate do the same to me in an Asda car park - while I was sat in the car. I heard the noise but it didn't sound like it came from my car. By the time I'd realised what he'd done he was already gone, leaving behind a nice dent that went down to the primer. I was pissed, to say the least.

Since this happened to me way too often, even thou I tend to park far away, I started snappin pics of my car parked, from both side and number plates of the surrounding cars.

Since then I got refunded twice from the others owners insurance.

Maybe I should. Luckily I've been working at my uncles body shop on the side doing rust repair so maybe he can help me out a little.

Looking at that, I am sure they noticed. You don't give a ding like that and come out unscathed. Lucy or Ricky probably had some 'splainin to do, that truck looks pretty nice. Shame on the owner for leaving either way...

GoPro mount/suction cup method to remove the dent?

That's a sizable 🤬 dent. I'm getting pissed just looking at it. At least it didn't warp the body lines too much so the suction cup method should work.

Looking though some of the photoshoots with the car... getting rid of some homesickness and I found a decent snap that I didn't post here:

I hate that I didn't make sure it was centered first, but oh well.

A smart repair should get that out, without damaging paint or removing one single part of your car. Usually it cost something around 100 bucks per dent.

They use these

dent-tools.jpg

those are then inserted between the window trims, and then they push the dent out from the inside.

Turns out I need new cats, driveshaft couplers, and the rack has a small leak.

All of the black accents are plasti-dip, good news. The hood latch cable is broken too, but getting the hood open is easy from outside. The front bumper has been cut for some reason too. Overall it is nowhere near as bad as I thought. A/C works flawlessly and It didn't overheat in traffic. Sunroof is busted, GTO didn't come with one either, a minor concern.

Project thread for my GTO coming soon.

From the factory, the GTO didn't come with one. Sunroofs were however "dealer installed" by an aftermarket supplier, so to speak.

The Holden on the other hand had it as an option from the factory.

Check what your sunroof is, it's most likely a Webasto Hollandia 700 series.

Anyway here's a link to determine what your sunroof is and if it's part of the Hollandia recall.

Those wheels look funky, I guess. What are they?

Rodney Jane Racing Wheels. 16 x 7, fitted with 195/45r16 tyres. The original tyres were 165/70r13, so these have improved the handling quite a bit.

Suspension probably needs to be lowered by about 2 inches to suit these wheels properly though.

It does seem a tad tall for a Demio. Looks good, though! 👍
