when i do the max speed test it dosnt delete all my cars it just ****s up the first car on my list

Warning:
Don't do the Max Speed test. And if you have to do them, DONT SAVE YOUR GAME after you finish. Instead, restart the game.

Another option is, if you have several memory cards, you can also designate one of them for just testing, so that if there's any problems, at least it's not your main game that's screwing up.

Your cars may not necessarily all vanish, but other screwy stuff can happen. If you're already in deep 🤬, and your cars start vanishing, you may have to start an entirely new game from scratch. There's no other way to solve this problem that i know of.

-> Speaking about my name, another oddity on GT2 I've encountered in the past. Was on the US version, the Acura Integra (no matter what trim or year) doesn't have a 4th gear!

How odd! Do you know if this is just a cosmetic problem or does it effect the cars performace too?

It affects the car's performance. In effect, 3rd gear is geared almost exactly the same as 4th....i think 4th is like a couple hundredths of a revolution taller than 3rd. So when you shift this tranny, it's almost like you go from 3rd gear to 5th...if you know what i mean.

Essentially, some computer genius screwed up when he or she was entering gear ratios for a couple Integras.

Oh that's another thing. The game says the dealer-bought Integras are Type Rs. They are actually GS-Rs (look at the rear wing, which is shorter than a Type R wing and also the red R badges are missing, among other things). The Type R exists in the game, however the only way to drive one is to do a few of the license tests! You can also search the game's coding, but we're not supposed to talk about how this is done here at GTP anymore! :dunce:

not a big deal but this skyline,it says it´s R33 but it shows R32 info

In endurances, if you cross the pit lane (when going for a pit stop obviously) backwards, and this is your best lap (or first, for example) then the "best time" records the maximum speed you have achieved going backwards :)

I noticed, Citroen rally cars in Special Citroen showroom have black color, but in the arcade mode the color is actually red!

See this:

The car wash says 5000cr. but its only 50cr!

I am guessing the typo bug by its use of the decimal numbering.

...wow

IIRC the Citroen in Arcade mode is a Saxo, which you can get in Simulation mode by buying a normal Saxo and RMing it. The Xsara Rally Car is only available in black and exclusive to Simulation mode.

Sorry if repost, but I found this:

If you RM a Civic Sedan/Ferio '93, the Color Selection in RM menu displays two green boxes, despite the color is black/red or black/yellow (Advan style)

Also:

In Tahiti Maze event menu, the second battle [I-B, middle selection] it only writes generic "Rally Car" text. When tried, it is an 206 Rally Car that crashes to right wall in 1.0.

(sorry for dig up)

That Ferio RM bug is definitely new to me.

The Tahiti Rally Car is a well known one. And if you have GT2 v1.00, it will ALWAYS crash into the wall right after the start and stay there for the remainder of the race. Providing easy money/no good racing whatsoever.

This thread will never die! 10 years after the release of GT2 and there's still stuff being discussed here.

well, I can explain the two different color schemes for the Xsara rally. you'll also notice it with the race conversions for the Cinq Sporting. there are multiple race livery schemes for some models (and hidden ones for others) the 500's goof in the 1.0 US/C version is obvious if you do the race livery version.
basically, someone typoed while coding the two race liveries for the 500's conversion, setting the secondary design as first, instead of the primary one that the computer uses. the same thing is probably happening with the Xsara

note, for us Yanks, there's three versions of GT2 (i believe Europe got the fixed 1.2 version only) due to the fact that the game was rushed out for Christmas (this is why GT3 through 5 took so long to get out). little details change between each one, and I believe the Civic Ferio had it's race conversion removed (like the Taurus SHO)

The Taurus SHO also kept race modification; the livery just changed from Valvoline to some generic creation. And you could still see Valvoline in Arcade Mode in North America. (oops)

unfortunately, 1.1 and 1.2 need a cheat device for this, although I can tell you how to do it (i think the 1.1 and 1.2 Tauruses in the states had the race livery and conversion removed entirely) they pulled the Taurus's conversion because they made the mistake of using a nascar brand scheme in 1.0.

Or try looking at it with your Arcade Mode disk. (Of which there were only two North American versions, I believe; I thought both kept the Mark Martin #6 Race Mod, but I could be wrong).

Well, the reason why it's spelled that way is because that's how they pronounce it themselves. "Capchino"

I thought it's to save disc space :sly::lol:. Seriously though, I think it's just a typo (like the 'Nomal' Generator Event and many others....).

Occasionally on Tuned NA Cup, a RMed Peugeot 306 is shown, even if my car is not RMed.

For the missing turbo issue in '82 Starlet, I am guessing that the car CG team (maybe?) confused it with the '87 model.
