1. How do you know he wasn't a guest visiting somebody and using the game?
2. How do you know the car was duped? Is it not possible that the car was just gifted to him?
3. Does the host not know how to enable proper lobby restrictions?
4. What's stopping the idiots from taking a 20,000 CR car that WASN'T duped into an online lobby and ruining your race? A first time n00b with no online friends could do this just as easily.
5. What's stopping somebody with NO skill from letting their B-spec idiots reach level 35 and then taking an X1 into a public lobby and doing the same thing, having never driven any car in the game before.
The fact is, every argument I've ever heard about this has more holes than a rotting piece of wood. I've run into idiots online in EVERY single racing game I ever played. They're a fact of life in the online gaming world. And duping/gifted/traded cars or not has nothing to do with it. Admit it, you guys just don't like the fact that people get expensive cars for nothing while you guys had to grind away for hundreds of hours to do it. If duped cars had:
- more power
- better traction
- less tire wear
- whatever, but ANYTHING what so ever to differentiate them from non-duped cars, I would be the first to stand up and condemn the practice. But they aren't any different. They're exactly the same. Anybody who's ever raced me knows what lengths I go through in my lobbies to make things fair and equal. I race by OLR rules whether I have a GTP tag in front of my PSN ID or not. But earning credits for cars is just not something that floats my boat. So I did it on occasion too. And the parallels some people draw and common pit some of you lump people who did this into just boggles the mind.
FWIW, I think the PP updates were positive in 1.07. 👍
