You do have a good point that this is just a road block till they can find a true cure for this issue.

Edited that part out, because I started a new thread with that idea.

I completely agree with the obscure idea of PD "We have Giveth, now we taketh away" philosophy. Boggles my mind.

GT Academy US.

Nuff said. Anyone else notice the total capitalization of the word "FAIR" in one of their news releases. Clearly they were annoyed with the events of GTAUS, and the fact that it happened a second time didn't help any. Throw ebay and the human nature in, and PD had to react somehow.

Personally, I'd prefer an online auto auction. Sponsored by Barrett-Jackson.

hint, hint, wink, wink, say no more...

The Barrett-Jackson idea: BRILLIANT!!!

You know what? I think Kaz is very unhappy about the fact that his beloved franchise had to enter the 21st century and incorporate online features. It's completely against the whole design philosophy that made earlier GTs so great and you can just tell he's not comfortable with it.

Somehow I feel for the guy. He's really like an artist (rather than a business man) who wants to realize his vision badly but the reality of the world will not let him. And none of his well-meant attempts seem to work out as planned :guilty:

I will priase 1.07 only because I have 4 trade accounts full of race cars that I can now sell for hard £$£$£... :sly:👍

Thanks PD :)

ps; I hate 1.07 in other ways :ouch:

I believe him to be a car enthusiast that wanted a video game outlet. Have you watched the Concourse d'elegance videos on GT Channel? The way he looks at some of the cars is pure joy and excitement. Like you or I would be in the same locale. I can understand Kaz's attitude, if the situation is true.

Just go ahead and close this thread. People who "cheat" do not affect you or me in any way.

People who cheat don't affect us.Try racing Nur/Nord or any track with some kid/adult that was gifted a car that was duped.He/she could not win the car nor buy it because of their skill level, yes we all have to start somewhere I understand. Then he/she takes it out to an online lobby and basically ruins everyone's race. Why because someone cheated by duping the car and giving it to someone who has no skill level to handle it.Pretty simple when you think of it that way.

You Americans sure love doing those oval races so I'm sure this patch is right up your alley.

Except you can get an X2010 (+Zonda R, Citroen GT Racecar, Toyota 7, Furai, etc.) by only playing B-Spec and as a result having no driving skills whatsoever.

Furthermore, you're talking about playing online, which is pure and utter hell anyway simply because there are too many immature retards on the internet these days. Not having easy access to a Ferrari 330 P4 is not going to make the online experience any better than it is today.

Prologue.

That is all.

1. How do you know he wasn't a guest visiting somebody and using the game?
2. How do you know the car was duped? Is it not possible that the car was just gifted to him?
3. Does the host not know how to enable proper lobby restrictions?
4. What's stopping the idiots from taking a 20,000 CR car that WASN'T duped into an online lobby and ruining your race? A first time n00b with no online friends could do this just as easily.
5. What's stopping somebody with NO skill from letting their B-spec idiots reach level 35 and then taking an X1 into a public lobby and doing the same thing, having never driven any car in the game before.

The fact is, every argument I've ever heard about this has more holes than a rotting piece of wood. I've run into idiots online in EVERY single racing game I ever played. They're a fact of life in the online gaming world. And duping/gifted/traded cars or not has nothing to do with it. Admit it, you guys just don't like the fact that people get expensive cars for nothing while you guys had to grind away for hundreds of hours to do it. If duped cars had:
- more power
- better traction
- less tire wear
- whatever, but ANYTHING what so ever to differentiate them from non-duped cars, I would be the first to stand up and condemn the practice. But they aren't any different. They're exactly the same. Anybody who's ever raced me knows what lengths I go through in my lobbies to make things fair and equal. I race by OLR rules whether I have a GTP tag in front of my PSN ID or not. But earning credits for cars is just not something that floats my boat. So I did it on occasion too. And the parallels some people draw and common pit some of you lump people who did this into just boggles the mind.

FWIW, I think the PP updates were positive in 1.07. 👍

I also believe that using this logic GT5 emulates real life more accurately as well. There are plenty of idiots IRL that are "gifted" cars or have more money than they know what to do with yet have no driving skill and ruin someone elses life (not an online race). Man PD unwittingly made this game even more of a real driving simulator. Haha

Enjoy grinding Indy over and over and over and over and over anc over and over just to get that 5 million dollar car.

You Americans sure love doing those oval races so I'm sure this patch is right up your alley.

I hate the Grinding. Think i'm at 1800 wins now.

You don't belong here. Here's where you should be...

lol you must have missed my last post here, im happy with 1.07 and unhappy with it, so I can go/post where I like :sly:

What you saying now then :):dunce:

I just cant for the life of me understand why so many people act like spoilt brats and throw a tantrum at the thought of other GT5 gamers racing cars they got GIFTED to them?? quite sad really begrudging people having more fun playing the game with the cars they really want.. especially when it wont cause you any harm whatsoever..

Just out of interest, what part are you loving?? the new PP system, or just knowing that people cant help each other out by trading high value cars??

Probably the latter. I've seen quite a few of those sick puppies come out of the woodwork today. I guess I will never understand their kind. 👎

Once the dust settles with this 1,000,000 Cr. trading cap I think people are going to enjoy trading again. There are so many great cars in this game; it was frustrating going into a trading room and 9/10 people are only looking for X2010s.

Hopefully now someone will want to trade for my Solstice :p

So true 👍👍👍👍

Great patch stops the noobs taking advantage and glitching what was meant to be a good function on the game. Well done PD :)

Haha earn your cars people thats why you parted with your hard earned money for a great game. Just need seasonals more regular now

I like and hate the trading cap. Yes I can't help out friends and vice versa and enjoy each other's LM cars...

But at the same time this puts an end to duping!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D !!!1!!

I know. I was trying to point out that 90% of american races are turnleft-left-left-left repeatx100

So I guess our Aussie friends are turn right, turn right, turn right.Enough already,if you had any clue to what you were saying I could accept it.There are countless Road courses in North America so wake up already. How many of you have actually raced a real car on an oval?In dirt track racing you actually turn right to go left and on 3 wheels.Watch at the 3:00 mark, maybe you could learn something.
