Never specified it has to be in GT5. So yeah, it does.

I prefer the Ferrari as well. It's beautiful and really fast. Just wish they'd ditch the spare wheel.

Anyways, I love the Jaguar XJ13. It's sound is a bit... Rough, I guess, but it is so much fun to drive and when painted with one of the Green Metallic chips from Jaguar, it is just amazing to look at.

i may be wrong with the date but the 2J love it even though it is 14,000,000 credits

I would have to say the Jag XJ13. Jaguar had some of the most beautiful car bodies back in the 60's. Still one of mine all time favorites is the XKE. I worked at a Jaguar dealership back in the early 80's and always loved to have one come in for service. The best part was the test drive after I had serviced the car. Nothing like a good "Italian Tune Up"! For those of you who don't know what an Itallion Tune Up is; it goes like this redline through all the gears and pray the "smokey" is nowhere around. "Well ossifer I was jus givin it a test drive and ugh ugh I think the accelerator got stuck".

You loved to have an E-Type come in for service! My '68 convertable was one of the most difficult cars to work on that I have ever owned. As a matter of fact, every Jag except the '54 XK-120 was a real pain in the 🤬 to work on...but all were a pure joy to drive.

That was a regulation at the time, at each pit stop the mechanic had to take it out and put it back. The Ford GTs had theirs in the nose.

The 2D, XJ13, and Ford MkIV are all great to drive but the Ferrari 330P4 is a dream. The Ford GT is not as good, but it could beat them all on the day.

I inderstand where you are coming! I have always been a fan of British cars. I owned a '73 MGB and also raced MGB's and Datsun 510's in the SCCA back in the mid 70's. Sadly never owned an E-Type though it is still at the top of the list of a car I hope to own before I'm gone. 40+ years as a mechanic has taken a toll on my body though. I live on Social Security Disabilty now because of it. Really did a number on my low back.

Working at the dealership gives you access to all the special tools and info that is only available at the dealer. I was fortunate to have many of the original service manuals and had a side business working on just British cars. It was good because very few people would even touch one of them. I guess you either love them or hate them.

I've only driven the Jaguar xj13, Ferrari p4, corvette c2 race car '63 and the toyota 7.

I love the way the Jaguar handles and sounds. It's definitely the most confidence inspiring and easiest to get the best out of. It turns in very nicely and doesn't have any of the oversteery/wheel spinning chracteristics of some of them. Not to mention it's drop dead gorgeous.

The Ferrari isn't as good as some would have you believe. It understeers too much and it's also not that quick in a straight line. I definitely don't think it's worth 20 million credits and since it's not a gift car, i wouldn't bother with it.

The Corvette is very rapid in straight line but it's got precious little traction. As a result, your lap times will be slower with this car than the other old racers. It can be picked up in the ucd for 700,000 though, so it's very good value.

The Toyota 7 is hilarious to drive. It's acceleration is absolutely astonishing, easily on par with group C and LMP cars. It will spin it's wheels in the first 3 gears and it only has 5! Traction in corners is better than i'd expected but I don't trust it as much as the Jaguar as it will oversteer very easily if provoked.

The Fords and Chapparals look very good and i'm looking forward to getting them, especially the legendary 2J. The soundtracks of the American cars are unrivalled as well.

I remember the Ferrari being insanely quick in a straight line, the fastest of the Premium Le Mans trio, but was very prone to oversteer because of it's light weight.

If you want you can borrow my Chapparals

My favorite cars from the pre-70's era has to be the 1967 Chaparral 2D and 1967 Ford GT40. Both incredible fun/fast cars for their low power/low weight ratios. Not to forget, both are winning cars for the two 24H races.

I'll take the easy way out. *All of them!* Love them all. (As you can see by my avatar.) 👍

There's something special about pre '70s, but it's hard to say what.

The 2J isn't what it's cracked up to be. For one, it isn't a fast car. And if you're expecting to take turns as fast as an X2011, you simply cant. It doesn't have nearly as much downforce as the X2011 or even the F10. It is the fastest pre-1970 race car around a track, but being one of the 2(?) Group 7 cars in the game it would be, wouldn't it? For me, the Ferrari P4 is beautiful, one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. The Mark IV just has weird tail lights. The Toyota 7 is a wonderful car, but isn't exactly a supermodel. Overlooking looks, the 7 can give a 2J a run for its money if the 7 is tuned and the 2J is not, but if the 2J is tuned forget it. I don't have the Mark IV or P4, and I've never driven my XJ13 so I cant speak for them. but if I had my choice it would be the P4 just because of its appearance.
