What engine size do you prefer an why. I prefer v8 for the sound an they seem like they're the most balanced IMO.This also pertains to real life so which size do you like in the game an in real life

In the game, V8's because they sound like a beast!!! In real life I prefer V12's because it makes the car sound awesome, gives it soul.

Inline 6 in real life (5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel). I don't have a preference in game.

Or the V16?!?!

YES

Otherwise a V8. Or a V12. Or a V10. Or a V6 :boggled: And sometimes even a straight 4  Or if I'm feeling really odd, a straight 3

V6 or V8 in real life. Don't care in the game, they all sound crap no matter what state of tune they are in.

Are you a truck/bus driver?

Nope. My daily driver is a '91.5 Dodge Ram D350 with a 5.9L Cummins. We also have many other diesel tractors and trucks on the farm but nothing compares to a Cummins, in my opinion.

2.2l overbored Cosworth YB Inline-4 with a 70mm throttle body...nothing sounds better :D or maybe a 1970's 4.2 Jaguar V8

Friggen rights buddy! Cummins Power!

I've always loved V6's, the howlers - especialy the old Metro 6R4's, what a noise they made. Hoping to get a Clio V6 soon, another V6 powered car to the collection!

Love driving my 6.0L V12 in real life, but in game, I find the i4s to be the most nimble and fun :)

Unless of course PD puts my W220 in

Golf Vr6 with bmc cda sounds wayyyy better.

I love the sound of a Wankel Rotary when somebody has only driven it 200 yds from cold then you get in it and try to start it. Crap design.

Living in Las Vegas, there are many supercars I see on the streets and drag strip... screaming turbo R35's, Lambos, Ferraris, Astons and love them all.

Saying that, I prefer Small block (5.0-6.4) and Big Block (7 Liter or bigger) American V8's. It is in my BLOOD....

This poll is subjective to what region of the world one lives in. JMO

I have driven a few buses with cummins engines years ago. Is it an American manufacturer? In the UK they have a reputation to be very reliable and easy to fix.

I6 > *

Perfect harmonic balance, lots of bearing surface area, mechanically simpler than most V designs. Total win.

Big block V8, I drove a oldsmobile with a 455ci V8, and you never get tired of hearing that slow lazy burble.:sly:

In real life I love the raw sounds of V8's. The game just doesn't cut it for me.

In the game, one car for me, Lexus LF-A. V10 scream, around the 5,000 RPM it sounds amazing.

In the game, I prefer the 4's and 6's

I've thought about this one a bit and have come back for an edit - I have an RX-7 in the game that I keep going back to on all sorts of events - I just love driving that car, partly because of the throttle response.

In real life, my RX-8 is sitting in the driveway crying because there isn't a rotary option in the poll.
