Oh ya Likeing that car. Always been a fan of the GTR me.:)

And yes playing blind adds a suprise element which I personally like but like toreo said it can have it's disadvantages too.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if the last championship on campaign mode (GT mode) has rewards you with the Suzuki Liana or the Chevy Lacetti as prizes :D
I don't know if I'll be on the floor for am hour or so laughing my guts out or if I would be in the market for a new PS3 and television afterwards

It depends. If you're doing a chevy only event chances are that you will get a chevy.

Chevy Lacetti!!!! for the Top Gear SIARPC

ZR-1....I cant stand that show...just my oppinion.

I would be happy if they would allow us to scroll through the prize cars and select the colors. 👍

I absolutely hated the random prizes in GT3, bad idea in my opinion.
GT4 was a lot better though in that area...

With GT5 I wouldn't mind having multiple prizes as long as the winner can CHOOSE the car he/she receives. As for colour/livery schemes, there should be an option to have a body re-spray or something.

I could just imagine how brutal some races and driving missions will be to win prize cars like the ferraris ,lambos ,bugatti etc..Just think about it in GT4 had some though races to win prize cars like the jay leno tank car ,1hp benz ,ford model T etc.. (great cars by the way)

i just want to avoid the saving up $ to by an Audi TT to enter the Audi TT races only to win an Audi TT!

Perhaps four prize cars per event based on A-Spec points would work? One car for 1-50 points, a second car for between 51 and 100 points, a third car for 101-150 and the forth car for 151 to 200.

That's if A-Spec is in the game of course.

👍 I think this is a really good idea, depending on how well the A-Spec system works I suppose.

Do you think finishing with 150+ A-Spec points should net you all four cars?

I think if it was like that, they'd do better to bunch the cars up nearer the top, maybe even have it so you win a fairly basic car for just winning, then if you have say 100 A-Spec you get another better car, or just an alternative better car, then 150, 175 and 200 as the other boundaries?

I'm surprised nobody else really picked up on this post, I think it sounds like a really good idea 👍

Obviously this has no impact on PD / GT5, but it's nice to dream :)

TT as a prize for the low end 4x4 event then?

I personally hope A spec doesn't come back for 5 but if it does then this is a great way of doing it.👍

i was just using the Audi TT as an example. Replace it with any other car you'd like.

I was just using that event as an example,I wasn't saying I don't like it.

👍 Agreed. In GT4 I rarely re-ran events because there wasn't really anything to draw me back. Unexpectedly, I spent most of my time in GT4's arcade mode, unlike in GT3 where I would re-do events hoping to get a different prize car to the last time I ran the event. Although it was frustrating at times, not getting the prize you wanted, it was so exciting.

I don't mind having multiple prizes for a single event, it makes things less predictable. But only if it's done right. By that I mean that each of the cars should be around the same performance level. PD completely screwed this up in GT3, here's an example:

Super Speedway 150 Miles possible prize cars:

Chevrolet Corvette C5R
Tickford Falcon XR8 Race Car
F090/S
Clio Sport Race Car

Each of these cars has absolutely nothing to do with the other. It's unfair that one player could complete this event and be rewarded with an F1 car, while another could do the same amount of work and be given just a Clio. Why aren't all four of them GT cars, or touring cars, or prototypes? That would've been fair. Instead PD chose to mock the player. Great idea, guys! :yuck:

While I partly agree with that I think its kind of exciting not knowing which prize car you will get and on GT3 there were more than one way to win most of them anyway.

This is my view on prize cars - once you win them, they should become unlocked so you can go to the appropriate dealership and be able to buy them, without having to re-run events to get another one.

If you only knew how many times I re-ran races to collect every color Superbird,Chevelle SS,Super Bee in GT4.....you'd be amazed .Thats why I say,you should be able to purchase them after they become unlocked.Of course, assuming we will be getting a livery editor,it will make things easier to help build your collection of cars by being able to paint them, without having to sell off your doubles and trying for another color.

read the edit man lol.

I think this is a superb idea. I thought it was a superb idea when i suggested it in the "things we want to see in gt5 other then cars" thread at approx 20.50 the day before, right down to trying to get a certain colour prize car statement which appears later. If people want to use someone else's ideas for another thread, then have the common decency to credit them. If this is a genuine misunderstanding then I will apologise now, if not then I expect you to do likewise. Mutzley

My thoughts excatly, very frustrating.

Could be worse, you could spend ages saving up for a new, top of the line Audi TT 3,2, win the Audi TT championship, and get the '00 Audi TT 1.8 as your prize!

They could get a value locked random prize. Say, for the first race (like sunday cup) you can get a 12,000 to 15,000 Cr car. And keep the really unique ones for big events. Or give those an hidden value, giving you a 5,000,000 Cr monster for an endurance race.

That is kind of the setup that they have now.

Spielwurfels idea of the Merc C111 from the pic wishlist would make a good prize for the Merc tourney. moving the old 300SL to a classic tourney instead of that gay Alfa Guillietta or whatever it was called.I mean doing 4 or 5 over 25 lap races and i think one was 60 laps in some car (I think i ended up using the Buick Special) that slow for a sodding Alfa really angered me.

Before I get hounded I did do a search and got nothing.

Just want peoples oppinions on what prize cars we might find on this up coming editon of the worlds greatest driving sim.

Come on Daimler Motor Carriage in 1080p

CAROUSEL FTW
It gives you replay value, and it's only for prize car collectors like me, you don't need to win everything to get 100%.
