Riiight. So what is that, in technical terms? How would you describe it without using the a word?

Don't post the answer here though, post it at WMD where SMS can read it.

Yep, I'll pop over to WMD and inform them that their sim racer is really a simcade racer.

I assume you're being sarcastic but if you do post there I would advise you to actually describe the issues you have, not just use pointless terms like simcade. It helps nobody.

it drives like a console racer not a PC sim.

The next big racing game will be GT6, not Shift3, haha:)

You complain about Project CARS feeling like a console racer only to proclaim that GT6 is going to be the next big racing game?
Just FYI, the PS4 is a console as well...

I still remember that when someone suggested pcars be made to drive like GTR2, and it was instantly shot down by WMD members....
While GTR2 was very good for its time, it's not the epitome of realism. In fact it has many flaws, like all older sims. The developers themselves are clear on that. Therefore the community prefers something more advanced and realistic, and that's what we're getting. Remember, the devs are the very same guys that made GTR2, and they're stretching way further with pCARS.

If you want a sim that drives like GTR2, then I can recommend, wait for it... GTR2! :D

:sly: OMG someone said that pCars is just Shift 3 in higher resolution. I just couldn't help my self to post this video.

Full grid open doors race :) This is going to be a big game! Bigger than Shift 3 could ever be.

I dont really care for the flapping door thing. Makes the game seem very arcade when it happens. After all whens the last time you seen a car going around the track with the doors flapping in the wind. I just think it takes away from the game more than it helps.

I think I just saw more flapping doors in that video than in the last 10 years of motorsport in TV.

New 'Overlay Effect' video and helmet cam effect of Project CARS build 451, it's a lap in Nürburgring Nordschleife, the "Green Hell" with the Pagani Zonda R.

One thing I notice about these videos with the overlay is that in various parts (like at 0:10 and 0:20 where you have the most steering input applied), Your overlay gets abruptly cut off, like maybe the Aspect ratio of that overlay is abit small in relation to the video. Don't mean to sound like I'm downing your efforts, that just stuck out so much to me as someone who spends lots of time making videos using similar things. Keep these videos coming 👍

When are some people going to learn?

When they have found a teacher maybe. :p

Seriously though. If someone hates a game so much, why do they troll those games? It seems like such a waste of time that they could use to amuse themselves with the games they do like.

By the looks of this shot they need to tone down the tire smoke effect!

Kidding. pCars has officially motivated me to get back into pc gaming. Now if I can just sort through the maze of overclocking and undervolting, while keeping everything cryogenic, it should be a snap.

I probably need to start drinking coffee because I was squinting to see the tyre smoke for a worryingly long time...

Some of these screenshots are absolutely astounding, thank you all for sharing them. I can't help but feel like I should learn how to take some good shots so I can take advantage of the hardware I'm running or something.

I was making a joke = as if the clouds behind that car was tire smoke.
I'm the one who should drink coffee before attempting humor.
