Looks? No.
Feels? No.

I couldn't even drive in Shift 2 because I had no idea what the wheel and car were doing, I can drive quite well and intuitively in pCARS. So for me, fixed.

I wanna say about the whole FFB tweaker thing: I've never bothered with them as the default FFB is fine for me for now.

About FFB in general: When the tire model is completed and more or less in place on all the cars, THAT is when the devs themselves will pay attention to FFB. As it stands right now, there is no point wokring on FFB because even if they got something that felt good, it could be completely broken in the next build due to tire model tweaks. Be patient guys. :dopey:

No offense but seeing the level of fanatism this game get from wmd subscriber I'm not sure what to believe.

If anyone dare to say something against it, they get trashed, called name etc..

I really hope it's gonna be a great game but until I try it myself I can't tell.

What i can tell again is that I love the screenshot some members are posting. It seems really promising.

Well I don't think I spout any fanaticism (I learned my lesson when I stopped being a GT5 fanboy :P), and I'm being completely honest about how I think the game is. If someone states outright nonsense I'll call them out, but that wasn't my intention with my last post (about fixing Mr. S' post) if it seemed that way. It was his opinion after all, I just said mine. :D

I personally try not to be like nothing is wrong with it.

I will often tell said person to send their feedback to the WMD forum to get it noticed by the devs though as if you can play the game you can post and help make it better.

So I'm swinging by this thread because just now on N4G there's an article posted about SMS publicly saying they'd like to find investors for a PS4 version of Project Cars.

I think people at SMS are over-looking the obvious answer. WHich is the VAST Gran Turismo fanbase occupying the PlayStation Network who are DYING to play PCars, and looking for something new to hold them over till GT6 which is this Fall the earliest. Well......turn to Sony and those active digital consumers to fund a PS4 version of the game. Set it up with Sony so people can pay $10 out of their PSN wallet which gives them the same kind of Beta PC investors get with the weekly updates influenced by the investor feedback. And for that $10 investment they get a season pass for all PCars DLC for their choice of PS3 or PS4 version of the game.....or something like that.

I think it's the perfect idea because SMS's biggest problem is their console control quality. They've got their wheel/PC controls down pretty much (aside from the magnetic walls issue which I'm still seeing in videos lingering from Shift2), but based on the mag-walls still being there, I bet their console input lag/delay issues are still around as well..... Well who better to have test and work out the problems with console controller issues in a realistic racing game than the demographic who knows that particular thing better than any other? That's the GT fanbase.

And we're free until Fall at least, so if they could fast-track something like this with Sony to start by the end of June. I have a feeling MASSIVE numbers of PlayStation gamers would love to support something like this, probably raising millions,....... and it's also one of these new, crazy, indie inspired ideas Sony has been loving to support lately.

I'm curious what other people think of the idea and it's plausability. And also, if anyone here who is active on the SMS forums thinks it would be a good enough idea to bring up on their forum (which I have no access to), I'd love for them to consider the idea and feel free to use it, and ofr them to contact someone at Sony ASAP about the idea.

^ Wow that's a long post...

It has been brought up before . Short answer -PS3 users can't get a weekly build because Sony does not allow development content to be distributed over their PSN unless it has been tested by them. (Which takes a while)

So if you want to fund the project you can, but the only way to test right now is with a PC. ( Unless you have a PS3/4 Dec kit handy)

Guys; what's the status on the audio/engine sounds/track camera sounds?

The main audio guy recently mentioned that some updates are coming "soon". When "soon" is, he didn't say.

About the sounds, we're certainly glad that Greg is back on the project again with Stephen.. I'm pretty sure they'll figure something out. :)

Some pictures of the career mode, they have some great options there lol. ( cortesy of neogaf)

I wonder if the console versions will have proper Force Feedback settings. Adjusting things like the resistance in the wheel, and the force feedback given under different circumstances.

very glad to hear it will be comming out for the PS4. Hope the career mode features proper AI to go along with what looks to be excellent graphics and races.

It will have all the FFB options of the PC version, I assume. They are planning to make the game the Nr. 1 console sim with the most depth, so I dont think they plan on dumbing down the controls in any way. Plus even if they would, I dont think the WMD members would let it slide.

Edit:

What do the Formula C cars look like? Are they like Formula BMW/Formula 4?

Thats still up for discussion. The current model is only a very quick hack job based on the Formula Rookie (Ford) to test a first pass of physics. There is a whole thread where people are discussing what to aim for with the FC and where to draw inspiration from (real current F3, Formula Renault, late Formula Atlantic, turbo or no turbo etc). Once there is a general consensus, the current quick hackjob model will be replaced by something that is started from scratch.

Oh good lord, the eye candy. This game has come such a long way since last I've posted in here!
