I was fooling around with the evo x FQ 400 a bit. What cars are the furthest along in physics development?

Thats still up for discussion. The current model is only a very quick hack job based on the Formula Rookie (Ford) to test a first pass of physics. There is a whole thread where people are discussing what to aim for with the FC and where to draw inspiration from (real current F3, Formula Renault, late Formula Atlantic, turbo or no turbo etc). Once there is a general consensus, the current quick hackjob model will be replaced by something that is started from scratch.
I don't like the way the Formula C is heading. The way the discussion is heading, the car won't look like an F3, might not even look modern, and will have considerably more power than an F3. I guess it's not that big a deal, but I was looking forward to a driving a car with F3 specs.

About the career mode: my expectations are quite low at the moment because of the lack of cars/manufacturers. It looks to me like a proper realistic career mode will have to wait until PCARS2 or PCARS3, if ever.

At every track in pCARS, there is much less of a party atmosphere than in Shift2, and hence the tracks feel much more realistic.

You must played Shift 2 wrong. Cause there are lot of races in Shift 2 when you have equal ground to your opponents. Experientially in long distance races, if you treat AI with respect and not mash them out of your way than race is just like suppose to be.

pCars is going to be great ons PS4 !

Well dude, then I hope you voiced your opinions/concerns on WMD. What else can I say.

At least Casey & co are still willing to discuss the car selection and reacted positively to some member proposals how to make it much better with only a few cars more.

What if pCars is going to be focused strongly on On-line races / competitions and it would last many years with cars and race tracks added through DLC + strong modders community will add some features from their minds as well.

Would be great.

Well have you told them your view?

It is still open to debate whether this will in fact be an F3 car. Some like me think a Formula Renault 3.5 like car would be more fitting.

I certainly plan to.

Of course, and I applaud them for trying their best to make the game better. But the reality is that the small budget makes it nearly impossible to make a complete realistic career mode. As it stands, the game will have DTM without Audi and BMW, GT3 without Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren and Audi, V8 Supercars without Holden, GTE without Aston, Porsche, Ferrari and Corvette, touring cars without Honda, Seat et al., LMP without anybody and no Super GT at all.

But, even though my expectations are low for career mode in the short term, SMS has the right intentions so if the first game is successful, I expect bigger better things in career mode with a bigger budget in the future. Multiplayer should still be great right off the bat in any case.

I was talking about the track decoration and crowds, not the racing.

Its still going to be fantastic when it's finished. The only game that has all of that is Forza 4 (?) not counting games w/ community added mods. Look at it this way, iRacing still manages to be fun with only 1 make racing and SMS have managed to get a lot of classes with 2 makes (BTCC, GT3, Group A? '99 Le Mans? ect...) , so all hope is not lost.

Still bums me out that there will be no Audi in pCARS. I still keep hope alive that SMS will be able to get some of the licenses' they had for Shift 2 in pCARS. They had iirc the full GT1 series ! :nervous:

SMS is hoping to get licenses for DTM (cars and tracks), GTx (cars and tracks), V8 supercars (cars and tracks) and BTCC (cars and tracks), don't know about super gt but still, if SMS can get those for DLC, and add them into the career, I'll be good.

They have the NZV8 license already don't they? And Formula Gulf. They may struggle with BTCC though.
