Every good project manager has to know when to stop adding things and just get on with what they've got, otherwise we'll just end up with Project CARS Forever being released in 2025!

That I appreciate, but there are a ton of cars that haven't been started yet and to enough modellers to work on them to get them released in time. If they focus on what they have and not worry so much about adding new cars, we might get most of them done by release, but I don't think we will have all of them done.

The staff have been very clear, 3.75M is the budget they have and for now it won't be extended, tool packs will stop as soon as it's reached.

There is just 20.185 euros left to account for. Never knew it would go this fast. WOW!

It's going to be weird not being able to tell anyone to buy into this game anymore, telling them they'll have to wait for the full game or if they're lucky an open beta just before the full game.

Will it mean no more in game pics posted here? No more Fan made trailers?

I don't see why it would, it just basically means no more new members. I don't believe anything will become closed so to speak, I just meant there will no way to buy into the game builds themselves once funding is complete.

I hear you. Next year will have a different atmosphere surrounding the project as well. I mean, no more new members. Going through different development stages. Deciding about an open beta or demo of sorts. The day we all decide that the game can go Gold Master. The launch of the game itself.

This past year was great seeing the game grow up so much to where it is now, but next year will be just as good if not better. With all the stuff that will happen still, I can hardly wait. It might he a short year for us that have fun. ;)

19.945 euros to go

I still find it impressive how many people they have got on board, 86,302. I know a lot of people have more than one account but that's still at least 80,000 people supporting the game in some way.

That is indeed impressive and I am glad I get to be one of them with you guys. 👍

Oh, I bow to you my friend for your awesome work on that. I hope it will be at the very least available for Seniors upon release, Solitude that is.

Talking about features, I saw Career mode for a while in the GUI now. I dunno about the development status of it. Must've gone past me while browsing the forum.

18.420 euros to go <-- the last toolpacks are going away like delicious sandwiches or something. lol

I predict it'll be done in time for a news announcement/celebration first thing Monday morning. I wish I could throw a bit more in but I'm skint at the moment.

Same here unfortunately, but there is always the next project. ;)

Hmmm, I wonder if it will be done by the time I wake up. Cause...

16.930 euros to go

If I'm reading things correctly in the 'money where your mouth is' thread they're technically already there but some of the bank wire transfers aren't through yet.

Yeah, just read the same thing.
That is... after setting a new lap record with the Lotus 98T on the Belgium Kart Track. :)
I love that combination cause you learn to control the throttle and turbo nicely on that track.

98T on the kart track? Are you mad? :p Mind you I suppose there isn't enough space for the turbo to fully kick in so it's not quite so lethal.

You just try it, Simon. It will kick in, I promise. ;)
The problem is that it kicks in and you have to break right away, which unsettles the car. :p

Oh, and of course I am as mad as can be. Else I wouldn't survive on this planet. lol

hello

I leave a video with the new Ford Capri nurburgrin circuit with three screens and recorded with the GoPro, I added multiview for details.

a greeting

Nice shots and videos again guys. Always love to see them. It just makes your jaw drop each time even though playing it yourself. I still find it hard to believe the detail in the game, even though I know the rough capabilities or PC of this generation.

Oh and ehm...

12.790 euros to go on the counter

Just joined as a full member. No PC to enjoy it but had to become a member and help a project as cool as this.

If I could help fund it, I would. My wife has our the kibosh on an extra spending at all. Having a mortgage, and all of the expenses (above renting) that accompanies it, changes the entire negotiating table.

Awesome. Shame you can't play it though. Though I hope that will change at some point for you.

I was just keeping the score, Dave. If I could throw in some more myself I would have as well. Unfortunately my money tree died on me. ;)

So will SMS have a surprise for us when funding is complete? They have come up with some surprise in the past during times like these at least.

Grr, downloading 327->331 update, PC freezes, reboot, launcher checks integrity of what had been downloaded up to that point, continues downloading rest of patch, install patch, patching fails due to an integrity error, have to reinstall from 249 AGAIN :irked:

Considering how old 249 is now I have no idea why SMS haven't released a 340 complete build :|

Yeah I'm not sure why 249 is still the "base" build, it's rather old and a lot of patching is needed afterwards.

Regarding the money I just noticed there was more paid over 24 hours yesterday (€78,495) than the entire month of January (€52,985). Impressive.

So it ends.. no new members anymore. Upraging possible still for a little while.

OP updated.

And a fantastic job you did, T-12! 👍

Unfortunately you ll have to do some more updating as the Capri is now ingame and funding is closed for new members, only some final upgrades from existing members will be accepted.

We did it, guys! Thanks to everybody who invested... Now hold on tight everybody, the ride is gonna get wild! :D
