So they should lie about the final product because Bamco sent them an old version? Yeah, that sounds reasonable. The only way EG/DF can make up for this cluster**** is to review the release version 10/10 no matter what.

Yeah. Why don't you go play it you 🤬🤬Haven't played for a month or so.. since gone gold, I just might try again now!(sorry
)
Hmmmm.....Stock carFun question - what is the most uneconomical car in the game?
They didnt get a different version than anyone else yet no other site thought they needed at this time to publish how bad the FPS are at this time and in general how poor the game looks and ran, Maybe they will come tomorrow but i doubt it....So they should lie about the final product because Bamco sent them an old version? This is a "racing" sim, license plates?Seriously?! Come on!! Not really?!
It's just a little, very little detail, but I had something else in mind. and it should be easy to do. Be it templates or whatever. What about atmosphere, authenticity?!
In short, yes, you want them to lie. You're probably going to get disappointed then. They didnt get a different version than anyone else yet no other site thought they needed at this time to publish how bad the FPS are at this time and in general how poor the game looks and ran, Maybe they will come tomorrow but i doubt it....
EG have backed themselves into a corner here, Give it a high rating it looks like they are trying to make up while if they give it a low score or average score it screams of justifying this original article. If only they were not so desperate for hits these days and they went back to the Eurogamer who came across as genuine gamers.
i think they only score games 'essential', 'recommended' or nothing these days. it's already essential to me.They didnt get a different version than anyone else yet no other site thought they needed at this time to publish how bad the FPS are at this time and in general how poor the game looks and ran, Maybe they will come tomorrow but i doubt it....

Who said i wanted them to lie? At least give SMS are fair chance...Give us the truth by all means on the final version but when they pull stunts like today it does them no favours especially as across the gaming world DF were already on a bit of a shuggly peg.In short, yes, you want them to lie. You're probably going to get disappointed then.
Yeah, I think you are looking way too hard into this. The majority of people aren't going to give a 🤬 about BamcoGate in relation to pCARS score. They didnt get a different version than anyone else yet no other site thought they needed at this time to publish how bad the FPS are at this time and in general how poor the game looks and ran, Maybe they will come tomorrow but i doubt it....

Certainly not what i've been reading over at Eurogamer & Neogaf. Tons of people are totally put off now while the hardcore like us will be buying regardless.Yeah, I think you are looking way too hard into this. Neogaf are the definition of sheepmind, I wouldn't worry about them. As soon as another well read critic gives pCARS the hype it deserves they'll flock to the stores as they always do.Certainly not what i've been reading over at Eurogamer & Neogaf. Neogaf is a drop in the ocean. They're not nearly as important as they think they areCertainly not what i've been reading over at Eurogamer & Neogaf. Tons of people are totally put off now while the hardcore like us will be buying regardless.
The sad thing is EG have caused such a stir which they intended to set out to do and while they apologised they got it wrong they leave the full article up which kinda says "you know what we got it wrong but in reality were right"
Pml at Bamco Gate sounds like the people that populate our country![]()
Anyone that has followed the development of this game for 4 years will not be put off at all by that review because the review was walked back. The only people that would base their decision on a review that was withdrawn were never going to buy the game to begin with. It's meaningless in the long run, even the short run.Certainly not what i've been reading over at Eurogamer & Neogaf. Eurogamer went to town on a 3 month old build, Basically saying the FPS is dreadful with drops below 30fps on Xbox One with PS4 not far behind and they are calling SMS to deliver a locked 30fps option. Graphically it did not fair well on Eurogamers analysis either.I havent been following up on this, can someone explain to me what has happened recently regarding Eurogamer and PCARS?

With a big disclaimer describing the whole fiasco up front. I see no issue here.Eurogamer went to town on a 3 month old build, Basically saying the FPS is dreadful with drops below 30fps on Xbox One with PS4 not far behind and they are calling SMS to deliver a locked 30fps option. They removed their videos but kept the article and screenshots up.
That's not what I said. You even quoted me and didn't get it rightThat's the thing people like you and i wont be put off but reading gaming forums across the net tonight night far to many people have been put off and already made their minds up by EG and wont be buying the game which is such a shame for SMS after their work the past 4 years.
GTPlanet has more members than NeoGAFIt's okay saying Neogaf have no influence but if anything has shown this gen is they have ALOT of influence, Are they not the biggest gaming community in the world console wise? They kick up a storm you bet your bottom dollar devs need to react to it and have done numerous times this gen.
That's being extremely naive! Also it was not withdrawn only the videos showing how bad the FPS were.Anyone that has followed the development of this game for 4 years will not be put off at all by that review because the review was walked back. No, I think that's spot on. People who base their purchases on a preview of a what is essentially a beta, rather than the actual reviews that are surely to pop up later, are probably not even "on the fence" customers. That's being extremely naive! I suggest your read the 300 comments on Eurogamer to see how many it has put off already! You said yourself how negativeity is rife within the gaming community. So let's think about something for a second, if a group of people have the chance to rat on something given a correct preview of the believed build of a final product to simply join in on the mob mentaility; they will. Tell me with 100% sincerity that you believe that the majority of those comments came from people intending to buy the game? I'm willing to wager not even half of those commenting cared about Project CARS until there was a reason to crap on it. Not because they don't like the game, but purely to try and put down another largely hyped game.I suggest your read the 300 comments on Eurogamer to see how many it has put off already! I'm willing to bet half of them didn't even know about the game until they saw the article. They're just interested in trash talking about whatever game most recently had a questionable performance review.

This preview has been amended by Eurogamer, they have done what they can do after what Bamco done(a mistake *gasp*), you say that Eurogamer should be punished and that it has sullied their name in someway but what evidence do you have of this? They previewed a build of the game that the publisher told them was a build copy. Were they to have some magic insight into knowing this was a huge mistake?

I read some of the comments. Some of the comments getting the most traction (+/- rating) are those below. Real gamers can spot trolls a mile away. They know the truth and can post a faulty review a mile away, especially in this case where all the facts are know and mistakes are admitted out in the open. This review will be forgotten by tomorrow by all but the hardcore trolls and the "sky is falling" crowd.
Why do you keep saying Bamco?
Eurogamers article was click bait nothing else dont kid yourself on by saying this was purely an honest mistake, EG were DESPERATE to get this out to the public before anyone else and severly jumped the gun (No other gaming site did while recieving the 3 month old build) Tell me why is the original article still up?
