I guess if you think about game development, this isn't too shocking. As long as bugs and features and content for one are released I don't mind there being some people working on two.
So, after saying that the slowing time bug (probably) was a giant waste of time, Ian Bell get back at the forums to say that, after tons of new reports, they are now looking into it propperly.
Christ lord allmighty, what a mess, what a PR nightmare this guy is.
Some context.

Every report about this issue states very clearly that it is noticeable only with maxxed out grids.
I dont understand why people are so angry and disappointed in Pcars 2 . SMS has 140 people they are leaving 40 on Pcars1 at a cost of $400k to support . It's not like everyone one does everything thats not how it work. Some do cars ,some gui, some do bugs ,etc.,
Haven't you heard? The first game must be absolutely perfect and totally complete before the second game can even be mentioned, let alone worked on. Otherwise the internetz will explode with the injustice of it allI dont understand why people are so angry and disappointed in Pcars 2 . Yes, this is business as usual in the gaming industry. I don't understand the outrage at all either. Yes, pCARS still have issues, bugs and whatnot but they'll continue to support it - however, if they fail to do so, I'll be on the frontline with y'all.People do realize that pretty much all game companies start work on the sequel title right after or even long before the current title is released right?
Look at EA with the Need For Speed and Battlefield, Codemasters with the F1 series (they talked about F1 2015 before F1 2014 was launched), Polyphony Digital with Gran Turismo, Turn 10 Studios with Forza, and many more. I really don't see why some are outraged.
Unfournatly yes. A good example is the best head studio that made fallout 3 and skyrim. As soon as fallout 3 was finished the majority went on to skyrim. But there was still a few that started to work on fallout 3 and fallout 4 concepts.I really don't get why people are getting uptight over PCars 2 being started .... how long did it take to develop PCars 1 ? ..... do people really want to play the game for a couple of years and then sit crying in the corner because they're bored and SMS haven't even begun making PCars 2 yet ?
Sheeeeshhhh, what do some people want for a £40 video game; The makers bonded into slavery to support the game for no extra money forever ? The money I paid for PCars is less than a night out but the entertainment value is through the roof ..... it's all about perspective![]()
It makes me laugh how people can get so upset about something that costs £40. £40 will get you about an hours worth of karting in the real world, which is GREAT fun. £40 worth of PCARs has given me about 15 hours of GOOD fun (so far as I have not got to play it much). Well worth it in my opinion as I will be messing about with it for ages yet. Even with the bugs. Some made me laugh to be honest. When my Clio had 4 burst tyres out of the pits and I limped around the last couple of laps of Silverstone coming dead last, it didn't really piss me off. I still won the championship.
(Although I did cry when my fake twitter followers were disappointed in me)
Jeez!400k pounds... per month.
Jeez!
Of course, revenue pays for expenses. Kind of how business works. The DLC road map of car packs and track expansions will contribute massively to offset that cost.

You have seen the latest patch notes right? It's pretty obvious they are working furiously to put things right with all versions of the game but really, to start casting your doubts forward into 2016 and beyond is a bit of a stretch don't you think?I know there have been many comments and debates on PCARS 2 being announced so soon and I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and there have been valid points on both sides of the argument.
Like everyone else, I also have an opinion, people may or may not agree with it but, hey that’s why it’s mine.
The one statement that made me a little uncomfortable is the statement about continued commitment to the current game, it really didn’t make me feel like there will be any real commitment after 2015, the statement is just a little general and vague for my liking:
"Project CARS will continue to see massive updates, features, and content throughout 2015 & beyond. Project CARS 2 will happen simultaneously,”
Personally I think they should have waited some time to fix more of the issues (And there are some BIG Issues) with the current PCARS before making an official announcement.
Pretty obvious but it should be said that the inclusion of loose track cars does not preclude the addition of even more tarmac based road and race cars. The base physics are already there for tarmac racing and all it really needs is more content in the form of tracks and cars.I have looked at the features that they stated for PCARS 2 and the only thing that got my interest was 200 plus cars, but when I think about it, if they include rally cars and that sort of thing I can really pass on that as I have no interest in Rally and lose track stuff. To be perfectly honest I would have been more inclined to crowd fund to help pay for more manufacture licenses like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and some of the other Hyper Car Brands, I know that some PCARS Supporters hate the idea of anything that is not pure race cars, but I love Hyper Cars and have no issue saying that and don’t forget, they have the Pagani Huayra, why not just get the others, the creators obviously like them also. And when they add Rally stuff, the pure racing stuff goes out the window anyway.
Unless there's a conspiracy against PS4 users I'm quite certain there are technical reasons for this and it's possible that PS4 is near fully optimized already or that it will receive more optimization in the future.Lastly, How are they able to get so much more performance out of the PC (up to 5% frame rate improvement when using Ultra settings) and XB1 (up to 17% frame rate improvement in extreme conditions) and not have any more performance improvement for the PS4??? "Just Saying”

PS4 got a HUGE performance boost on the last patch, though. Just saying.
Looks familiar

A WMD member on the PCars forum said it is soon. But then it is July 'soon' so who knows. We won't get it before v2.00 as the cars are not in the game files and will presumably arrive with the patch. So does anyone know when the next DLC is scheduled? I know Driveclub brings it out the last Tuesday of every month.
