This is going to be a bit incoherent and childish but I don't care: Pcars OMFG!! The sound is amazing and the graphics are otherworldly! The more I play it the more I love it! I don't even care that Ferrari Lamborghini and Porsche are missing. The experience and atmosphere is something I haven't yet seen in any other racing game.
I really hope they do bring out all that dlc which was speculated. I would buy the packs without any hesitation.

I hope tomorrow

Can you elaborate on the dif you are talking about? How should I adjust it, up r down

Jerome

Up. Always more acceleration lock on ludicrously powerful rear wheel drive cars. If the car has enough power to overpower the chassi, you need more acceleration diff lock.

It won't solve all your problems, and if you go nuts with it will cause others, but is always a nice corrective measure in cars such as the Lotus because it makes them more stable and manageable.

Right on, thanks I'll try that.

How good would the average online player be relative to the AI? After playing a handful of hours racing, I'm tempted to go online more and more each day! I'd have to use my PSPLUS voucher then as well :( I'm only struggling midfield on 80%, so do you think this is good enough not to be trounced by all these tuner experts and precision masters? I think I probably should do a bit more getting used to first (and try out all the tracks I've never driven) before venturing into the mayhem!

I think you'll be fine, I race the AI on 80 and do alright online. I get whooped sometimes but I've won sometimes to. Best advise would be to look for a league or series as you've a better chance of getting clean race that way. Many in public lobbies are way too aggressive and make the AI look like they are driving Miss Daisy.

Thanks, yeah I might look into joining a league, they seem to be really good. I never bothered try it with GT, so might make a start on PCARS! I just hope I don't experience lag issues like in GT6 where it would be unplayable if there were more than ten cars driving.

I tried online for the first time last night. Qualified third, started the race, try to drive cleanly only to be taken out, but thats ok I limp it back to the pits, repair, perform 3 laps and set 3 fastest laps, then come up to a car on the side of the road who proceeds to pull in front of me on purpose as I'm doing around 250. Awesome. I think I'll stay away from online.

Like McKiernan said in a previous post, try and find a group of clean racers to go up against. I can tell you from experience it makes a massive difference in enjoyment.

Not sure what's on over at the official forums, but on here, these guys https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...r-cup-thu-2-july-18-00-23-00-bst-open.327783/ are a good place to start. It's not a league or championship, but they run different cars and track with clean racing at the core.

Punknoodle is on pc.

Speaking of online I think the next thing they need to focus on is well... Online. The 2.0 patch fixed a lot and I haven't been hearing a lot of problems so far. The AI finally got fixed which is great. The awareness by the AI is way better. So glad they give you room now, but they aggression is still kinda high. Also I did a couple of test races in the rain yesterday and the day before that and the AI is slower in the rain now. I can actually pass now:D But yea online needs a lot of work. I think that should be the focus for the next update.

Well I am now an owner of PCARS, let's what the fuss is about :gtplanet:

Holy hell, not even one race in the game and I'm having issues.

I finished the LMP1 race at Dubai, but everything is locked to me, can't play anything else.

Are you not installing to your hard drive?
When the LMP1 race at Dubai is the only thing you can do, it's because the installation process has not completed yet.
Give it some time and everything will become available.

Working now, thanks mate

Impressions of both the game and the wheel ASAP

So far so good, still getting used to it, will wait for the patches to download overnight, hopefully it fixes the replays, they look terrible.

Loving the helmet cam, can anyone explain what the stuff in the HUD means?

The replays still need work to get them looking great. Hopefully they are being worked on and will be much better optimised in a future patch.

My advice would be to not jump around from car to car too quickly. Pick your favourite type of car and try it on multiple tracks, and get used to the tuning and tweaking of the car and the FFB. Figure out what's happening with the physics and then move along to other cars. Every type of car feels really different and takes time to get used to.
