I'm not sure how much we can/should bring over here? He basically says that race cars are not difficult to drive in terms of handling and that there are other factors that determine how fast you go is down to your driving style, mentality and other factors. I.e. racing fast is not about struggling to keep your car on the black stuff with the right side up all the time, it's about racecraft. According to him most past sims haven't got this right (this in itself is not news, of course). Oh, and he likes the DTM car

There was a new version of the API that allows people to link to outside devices, such as Motec recorders and SLI-Pro wheels. Other things planned include an ESPN-style ticker across the top of the screen in replays. That's why they brought it out early this week.

For a professional driver saying these praising words day one that he comes to WMD is already a good sign though. At least its not only iRacing with professionals coming in just to play anymore.
While chromatic video was probably the coolest I've seen on pcars, the last mustang video is just terrible. The car just looks likes it's out of an old ps2 game with no texture (I know it's a pre-alpha).
To quote the devs: The Mustang model isnt even finished, let alone textured. Its just in the game this early to test the physics and give people a rough idea. Anybody complaining about the missing interior parts is gonna be trout slapped!
Indeed, don't look at that Mustang in the same way as any other car. It's the first time a car has been put into the public builds in such an unfinished state.
They are doing that right now, of sorts. But don't worry about the order cars are modeled for the game, the plans are still motorsport and racing car focused. It just so happens the recent modeled cars have been the road cars. Still plenty of race cars that haven't been started yet.

It may possibly re-open for a weekend or two. That's really all we can say at this stage, they're in limbo at the minute as their operations are being looked over by a financial regulator here, making sure everything is above board. SMS are pretty sure everything is ok but until they're "cleared" they can't allow any further funds.

Thanks. That'd be cool if they did. I normally hate these things, but, is there a way to put myself on some sort of email notification list, or waiting list so I know that if it is open again, I'll know when?
