The game being delayed (again?) to 2014 surely shows that this new game they took on is gonna slow things down? It's not then taking longer on p cars. It's them taking similar time on p cars and fitting another game inbetween now and 2014.

pCARS is getting full attention and is going full steam ahead. Different teams work on different games.
 
rFactor is still up and running for me, but people with no PC are stuck playing casual games. PS3 is not very lucky with racing sims. pCars eventually delayed due the new milk project. No good.

I don't mind if the release target is getting pushed back to a later date. And frankly, I don't see the problem either if it means a more polished game. I'd rather see SMS taking their time and delivering a good game. Would hate to see the huge potential that Project CARS is go to waste.

Just so you know, SMS have been hiring more employees to not only help the development of pCARS but to develop the other game they are working on. So no, pCARS won't be delayed because of a game that hasn't even actually been announced to be being worked on aside from one forum post.

The reason for the delay is that we have to get more cars finished and dialed in properly still. Plus we still need to get new code that handles the simulation of the technology in modern 4WD cars like Evos and so on. The code has to be made so that it would even be able to handle the advanced brain and tech of a Nissan Skyline GTR. This doesn't mean that car is in, but just that the code needs to be scalable in such a way as to support such and future cars (with even more advanced tech).

EA sure ruined SMS's reputation with those Shift games. I mean they are not even close to being a part of this project, but the trolls who happen to have never even gotten a chance to test the game automatically assume it's crap. What happened to the days when people would wait until they actually played a game before giving their final judgement. It's kinda silly that people would make posts with incorrect info, and find the need to defend it to the death.

That is because it hasn't been officially announced and therefore we can't tell you about it. We're not supposed to, anyway.

The internet is an anarchistic place though. Only governed via the dictator we call Administrator and his minions if governed at all.
I have never seen a true democracy on the internet up will now.

That said... the internet is the true "land of the free" I suppose.

Oh, you can say all you want to keep each other in check, Felix. That's the anarchy part of the internet. Using common sense to judge each others actions. The point is that common sense these days is often blurred by cultural and upbringing morals for many people. So everyone judges differently and thus we argue. If that makes sense. ;)

About youtube, I think thr below should work. If your browser says missing plugin than there is something wrong with the flash plugin in your browser.

 
Not that it isn't fun reading the last few pages of this thread but is there anything new in pCARS the last few weeks? I've been working 60 hour weeks and this week I went to Sebring FL for the 12 hour so i'm really far behind on WMD.

Hey, I think I saw you on TV :D No, just kidding, I did watch a good part of it. I kind have been following Joey Hands career. They were in third place in the GT class. Then we went out for breakfast and they ended up in like 22nd or 23rd place.

In any event the 12 hours of Seebring is a race I would love to get down to just once. Spend a whole week and just soak it up. :)
