Just had a read of the Formula Gulf Series. Their races are held at Dubai Autodrome or Yas Marina. Will we be getting Yas Marina or not?

So the game is almost ready for release or will the game face another delay?
If there was a delay it would have been announced and it hasn't been. As of this moment, release date is still on schedule. Check back tomorrow.

Quick question for people already have access to pre-release and thank you in advance if you can answer these questions.

Can you use the D-Pad on a wheel like T500RS to easily jump around in the Menu UI on PC version like you would in consoles? The reason I ask is because I do not have a dedicated rig and as a result, every time when I play AC & R3E, the biggest thing I miss is using the D-Pad and the buttons on the wheel to navigate menus. R3E let you use the D-Pad to move the mouse pointer and that's about it. Clumsy to say the least.

Are all other PC games like this which requires the use of a mouse to navigate system menu even if you're using a gamepad?

I can on my G27, so I'll assume it works on other wheels too.

Some are, some aren't. A safe bet is that if it's a multiplatform title, you will be able to use the gamepad to use everything (since multiplatform titles have pad support out of the box).

Just been to my local game, they said it must be online only, as they was taking no more orders for the LE.

If i was to Pre-order online, should i get it day one?

For the WMD members around here: how do you guys experience driving against the AI in the rain? From the youtube vids I'm seeing, it looks like the AI are not turning on their lights on when there is reduced visibility because of the rain. Needless to say that it can be pretty difficult to navigate through traffic that way. Is this something that's still on the change list?

An example to illustrate the problem:

The rain detail itself is absolutely amazing :)

Last I heard, AI will not turn on lights in the rain because of performance issues. They will only turn it on at night time. Correct me if I'm wrong, other WMD members :)

Not certainly sure why this is deactivated in daylight, because its working in nights... maybe (most probably) daylight is more expensive because of all the dynamic shadows :odd:

Question for WMD members... could someone please tell me if I would be able to run the game with at least High settings with these PC specs?

i5-4690k @3.5Ghz
8Gb DDR3 @1600Mhz
GTX 780Ti

Reason I'm asking is that in the past I had a bad experience with buying a game (COD Black Ops), certain that my specs would be good for it (had bought COD Modern Warfare 2 the year before which ran on near max settings), but ended with a game which I've never been able to play to this day...

Thanks in advance for your replies...

vsync'd 60fps with high settings in every possible szenario guaranteed :) Besides the general thinking, this game is really heavy on the CPU. A GTX980 plus a low spec I5 wont get you good fps either...at least not w/o DX12 :)

That's similar to my PC. I just have 16gb ram and i7 3960x. I can run mostly on ultra and some things at high. At the start of the race for maybe about 1/2 a lap you will get around 45-55 fps, depending on rain and track, but after that cars will quickly separate and fps will jump up to 75+. So the real answer is you probably won't get 60 fps under ALL conditions, but for the most part you will, unless you count the starting part of the starting lap.

Thanks guys, for your input 👍

I just finished assembling this build yesterday, and was considering picking up another 8Gb or a SSD next month, if needed... so I think I'm covered for this then :)
