Well that's good. Would be nicer (Although I'm not hoping for it) to choose each car, so if I just wanted the Pagani Huayra V McLaren P1 in a race instead of all of the games hypercars.

I remember ToCa race driver allowed you to choose opponents in sets of two and what livery they used. Great game.

Did it? Haven't played it in ages. Only game I remember letting you choose individual cars is Forza's Multiplayer AI.

Means XB1 and PS4 versions will be equal (he's basically trying to avoid the whole resolution/fps/console war)

pretty safe to say its not going to be may.Not only does the game need to be finished but the discs need making and thats a very big job..I can wait a bit if needs be, i still am waiting for amazon to list the t3pa pro pedals and havent yet decided on which racing stand. 1st world problems eh ?

That actually very well may be true. Assuming 5 builds a week for 4 weeks, that puts us right in the middle of May.

surely they wouldn't? although if it gets to 998 and they've totally finished it do you think they might release 2 more builds with some random updates just so they can hit the 1000 mark? I probably would!

yeah totally me too! make a nothing change, check it in, deploy and repeat once for a cool 1k builds. then ship it

that said if its ready now don't wait - just ship it already!

I was just joking guys. There'll be much more than 1000 builds, I'm just not sure if we'll see those on the WMD side. But I expect new DLC/patches to take it way past that number.

Yeah, for sure this guy is no fan of racing games. I don't think anyone should review a game genre that they don't like because it becomes not about whether the game is any good or not, but rather a low scoring reflection of the reviewers personal distaste or indifference of said genre which is not really fair to the game.

What is the point of a review and indeed reviewing a game that you have no interest in whatsoever , I lost all interest in reading the review after the first paragraph .

The only reviews and opinions that I'll take notice of are from those who know there Need for Speeds from there I Racing's , I could do a review about potting sheds but I won't as I know Jack diddly squat about them .

Fellow simulators such as Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo also double as racing games for people who fetishize sports cars but have no imagination.‭ ‬If racing games were on a scale from hard‭ (‬realism‭) ‬to soft‭ (‬fantasy‭)‬,‭ ‬these games err to the extreme of the hard side.‭ ‬Automobiles have been featured in video games for‭ ‬40‭ ‬years now.‭ ‬Almost everything that could be done has been done.‭ ‬Even so,‭ ‬continuing to make the most realistic driving games possible takes the fun out of striving for novelty.‭ ‬Even a modicum of creativity would have been welcomed here.‭

Project CARS is the antithesis to comparatively insane driving games such as Mario Kart,‭ ‬making it a perfect game for people interested in not having a good time.

So he prefers his racing games unrealistic? Why even give Project Cars a try? Every reputable source puts it into the category of a racing simulator.
