This thread is going the way of the GT6 forum unfortunately.
Until it is released! Then the GT6 section will resemble something like this :D:

Do NOT double-post - use the Edit button. Ignoring the staff will get you nowhere.
I was about to say 'how fantastic' in seeing the announcement.....But working my way through the thread i see more confusion like yesterday with the #fdd700..... WHAT A FARCE IT'S TURNING INTO!!! :dunce::dunce::dunce::banghead::banghead::banghead:

that's what I'm thinking.

Yes me too.... After all, what the publisher says, goes normally in business. Also, we'll probably get confirmation from SMS today, now their hand has been forced!

By the looks of it, the console versions of Project Cars have PC-like graphics settings.

It's such a breath of fresh air having those options available on the consoles as well. We pretty much already knew about them but still, it can't be stressed enough.

Edit : Also, those comments against these options. Simply amazing.

Is it safe to start a countdown thread again?

I missed it when it stopped last time, it was a real good build up. Surly it will be ok this time :nervous::lol:

Does anyone know what the shifting is like in cars with a clutch if your pedals don't have a clutch and all you have is paddles? Do you have to lift in between shifts?

You can activate autoclutch in the game options. The game then autoblips for you.

"Bollocks to it then, if they want to be unprofessional I will be. The target dates are the 7th of May in Europe and the 12th in the US.

These are NOT 100% confirmed yet though, because the game isn't officially RTM (Gold) yet. It is very close (it has passed all the significant tests so this is largely a simple admin task to get it done), but the unexpected can always happen so the plan was not to say anything until we're sure (doubly important of course after the earlier delays).

Please don't post this outside of this forum until it is confirmed officially here, which should happen this afternoon all being well."

Yeah, nice one Spooky.... And people wonder why SMS don't release any license info/release dates/what Ian Bell had for breakfast? It's because of berks like this one!

So what does all this mean fellas? I'm confused.... May the 7th? the 8th? Gold? Not gold? What the hell is going on?

Ok, but it's a bit unprofessional all this... 2 days running now of confusion.... We'll see what happens...

*See Bandai Namco confirm release date* - :)
*See everyone saying it has not gone gold yet and may not be out on time* - :banghead: Well, ****.

I'm just hoping this is, at last, the confirmed release date that it will be out on.

Surely there's a ground to terminate his WMD membership. 👎

Well there is am member named Spookie who was active this morning in the wmd forum

Look: http://forum.wmdportal.com/member.php?57901-Spookie

Reported him. He's added nothing, no posts in his entire time in WMD, and then does this. He deserves absolutely diddly-squat!

EDIT: I suppose I can post this now, from Andy Garton (Development Director)

I'm delighted to announce that Project CARS has now officially entered RTM (Release To Manufacture, or "Gold") status, with a street sale date of May the 7th in Europe and May the 12th in the US.

Congratulations to everybody for this achievement, and a huge thank you for your help in making it happen. Three years or so ago when this project started SMS were in a very difficult position, and without going in to the ugly details, it's only the funding and support of WMD members that allowed the team to carry on, and Project CARS to get made.

Don't underestimate the magnitude of what we've achieved together either - the game has had a comparatively tiny budget compared to most multi-platform games these days, with a much (much!) smaller dev team than most people seem to think. Clearly the addition of the WMD membership has helped massively in making it happen. The results are there for all to see, the game is already being spoken of very highly, and I'm certain will offer a lot of enjoyment to a lot of people. It's true to say we didn't quite achieve everything we wanted to, but considering the resources we've had, the end result is pretty amazing. And anyway, pCARS is very much a long term project/brand for us, so good that we have plenty to add and improve in future

Clearly the process hasn't always been a smooth one, and in the last few months especially SMS has faced massive hurdles in getting the game over the line, which has meant we've been much less involved at WMD than is ideal. In general too we've made mistakes along the way (natural in something so new, and which we can learn from) which has meant we haven't always made the most of what WMD offers, but there's no question it's been a success overall in terms of its effect on funding, game design and content, and QA.

So ... congratulations, and be very proud when you see our game on the shelves in early May

(And now, back to work - we still have the first patch to finish off, and DLC content to be worked on. Quite how some dev teams manage to take time off en masse when their game goes Gold is a mystery to me!)

I think this already confirms it mate, no need to wait a few more days!!!!!! :D
It isn't actually announced yet but I bet it is ready to be shipped out to stores by now and for the Day 1 Patch to be readied up. Just another 22 days to wait!

I don't think the reviews on release day will be so different from what you can read/watch now
Still, I do that with every new game that comes out regardless of how much gameplay I have seen. Usually if a game gets 7.5 or higher on most review sites then I will go for it.
